If you don't know what you're in the mood for, this is a good spot to go to as the menu has everything, absolutely everything! I ordered a burger medium rare w/ a side salad and received a medium-medium well burger w/ a side salad. Still very tasty! Good place to bring kids, also good for larger groups. Prices are moderate, wait staff is nice and attentive. Definitely a good pit stop after a day of shopping. read more

Came here on a date and we were in the mood for steaks. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly and the cocktails were great. I did order The Beef Wellington with the temp at Medium Rare and it came a bit over cooked.The puff pastry on the outside was an interesting twist, but I would have liked it to be done the traditional way. Anyways, I definitely recommend and it's not the first time that I have been here. The Chicken Piccata and Buffalo Chicken Rollers are dishes that I recommend. This was my first time at Grand Lux Cafe. I gave my name and within 10-15 minutes I was seated. I love the low lights and the atmosphere which makes it very cozy. I had an appetizer of buffalo chicken bites which were great. They were fried on He outside and had real chicken on the inside. I had an avocado chipotle burger medium rare that was delicious with fries, chipotle sauce and ketchup. The burger was moist and was on a brioche type bun. The waiter Pablo would check in and make sure that we had refills on soda and other things. It was helpful when I wanted a dessert and the waiter was able to give a clear description of the desserts and also give insight into what would be delicious. It was a toss up between New Orleans Beignets and the Warm Vanilla cake that had a scoop of ice cream and strawberries. This was delicious and the cake melted in my mouth. I came here earlier tonight with my boyfriend and 1) the food took 30 minutes to come out and when it finally did it was cold. (Note : we had to wait 45 minutes just to be seated and it was 10 pm) 2) the waiter was nowhere to be found so we ate the food because we were so hungry. The waiter finally came about 20 minutes later to refill my water and we finally told him about the food being cold and he told us that "you should have told us before you ate it"... and he was trying to be smart and sarcastic while he was saying that instead of being a little sympathetic. Well he was no where to be found and my water was pretty much empty for 20 minutes... while we were telling him how cold the food was, he had a smirk on his face as if I was lying ha ha ! Honestly this has to be one of the worst customer service that I have ever received and I expected so much better because I go to the one in Long Island, NY all the time and I have nothing but good things to say about that one. Dustin should at least try to pay attention to the customer when they are speaking and get rid of the smirk on his face even if he has to pretend .. And even better, after we spoke to him about our food, he never came back. He sent someone else over to bring our check and never even came back over to get our $ and we actually had to bring it up to him about 15-20 minutes after he gave us the bill .. (Meanwhile, He was constantly walking by our table to check on other guests and taking other orders during this time but he failed to even come back to our table ) great customer service = happy customers. Grand Lux reminded me a lot of the Cheesecake factory. Pretty much same decor minus the cheesecake. No complaints with my food. I ordered ahi tuna tacos and they were delicious. Everyone I was with cleared their plates. The customer service was also excellent! I'm only providing a three star rating because the bathroom was extremely dirty with tissue all over the floor and a clogged toilet. An establishment like this should have someone cleaning the bathrooms frequently. In addition, the alcoholic drinks were a bit weak and the beignets were nothing to write home about. I understand that certain desserts have to be ordered as early as 25 minutes in advance and I really had high hopes for the beignets but the inside was very wet. With that said, this wasnt enough to completely deter my experience and I would certainly give them another try. read more

Been coming here for years, ever since my mom let me go to the mall by myself! The food quality and presentation has always been consistent. A bit pricier than your average chain, but you get what you pay for. Portions are huge and everything I've ever tried is great. The service can get spotty during peak hours (e.g. Saturday night, Sunday brunch), but what do you expect? It comes with the territory of such a high volume place. Burgers are always spot on, and you must get the chocolate lava cake! It's in my top three all time favorite desserts. These are made to order, so be sure to ask for it while you're getting your entrees. It's quite the treat and I can't seem to try any other dessert. Why mess with perfection?! read more

Food at Grand lux cafe is going down hill. We came here three/four times a year but last weeks experience was the worst. I ordered the shrimp and chicken jambalaya and the white rice that came with it was probably left over from the day before because it was dry and hard. My friend ordered the full rack of baby back ribs and it was horrible because it was charred and had no meat. The french fries that came with the orders were not fresh because they were chewy and soggy. I rather go to cheese cake factory next time. read more

The staff were super nice. The manager was super nice about correcting my meal which came with a sandy unwashed salad and the pasta which came with the meal ticket paper burried under noodles. Ugh. Just a disaster. As a result, the manager was kind enough to correct things by monitoring my replacement meal and removing the tainted food items. I would not return here but it was nice to see a staff of ppl look to correct mishaps like that. Way to go. Was surprised to see 3 star for this place was expecting 4 to 4,5 and I myself am elf give 5 for this place till I found out why I AGREE this place has changed so here my MiXED review for what I order Asian RIB taco - great taste you should order this Ahi ceviche - it's OK nothing spctacular Calamari - taste like old cooking oil and this is one of my pet peeves. Carbonara pasta - BIG disappointment I think that's where the big change hapoend I used to order pasta and I finished them all the time no matter how large the serving was. This time it's so OILY and DRY didn't even eat half of it no taste whatsoever just the oil. Service - always as GOOD as before and very attentive Overall the AMBIANCE is great and much better than even the high end restaurant around the area. but they got to fix their food if they want to bring back the Regulars. read more

Ooof Grand Lux did I catch you on a bad day! I've come here several times and always enjoy myself and the food -- but this past Thursday was atrocious. Stopped in for lunch and sat at the bar with a friend. When we arrived, the bar area was mostly empty. Bartender/server was inexperienced. Forgot our order instantly after we said it and had to repeat it twice. I reiterated twice that I could not have kimchi on my tacos and he plugged it into the computer. We ordered 3 appetizers and two drinks. Not a very complex order. The hummus appetizer came out first. Hummus was delicious but not enough flat bread. I ordered another order of flat bread and from there, we sat for 30 plus minutes. After a half hour passed, I was getting hangry and called over a manager and asked him to check on our order. He said no problem and came back a few minutes later and said the food would be out shortly. Our flatbread came out cold so I can't quite understand the 30 minute wait for it. My tacos came out with kimchi on them so I had to send them back. The turn around to have it corrected was quick; but I was starving and irritated at that point. Oh, we also had no silverware. So we searched out someone else since our server and the manager was no where to be found. When we finally had our food, it tasted good but the trouble to finally eat three appetizers was so much effort. To top it off, I couldn't finish the second order of flat bread that we ordered so I asked the bartender to wrap it up. He pulled it to the edge of the bar and walked away. A bus boy came, picked it up and threw it in the trash. When the bartender came back, I told him it had been thrown away and he offered to take it out of the trash and wrap it up still. Umm.. no I'm good thanks. No offer for a replacement. Still charged for it. I always love the food here but the service was just plain terrible on this occasion. read more

We have patronized Grand Luxe many times but we have never reviewed them before. So we we're having dinner before the movies. The wait is generally less than 10 minutes. The staff and ambiance is very nice - very similar feel to Cheesecake Factory!! My favorites: Appetizer: Tuna tacos Dinner: Crispy Caramel Chicken with snow pea pod, caramelized onions and snow pea pods with white rice. I've been coming here for years. It usually is a go to for a girls night out when we are looking for variety. Let me say recently , with in the last year this place has been more of a miss. The last couple times I came the service has been horrible. I visited last night with a few friends and it was the worst so far. I hadn't come in a while due to finding metal from wire basket in my potato spring rolls I was just turned off. Decided to come back, ordered 3 apps to start and two separate waiters came to our table twice to confirm that we still wanted two of our apps ( they were taking forever to Come out). We got our fried pickles relatively quick and then maybe 30 mins later got our crab cakes. The best part is the last app the( short rib tacos ) came after the meal. It was very odd. Also, I ordered the short rib ravioli and they completely forgot to put sauce on the ravioli! They were also cold. It took 10 minutes for them to bring the sauce which was literally thin as milk with no flavor and lukewarm at best. Super disappointing. I'm not sure what has happened to this place. Avoid. Indifferent food and even worse service. Incredibly long waits for drinks and food, orders brought to the table incomplete, rude waitress. When the poor service was brought to the attention of the manager, it was dismissed. Given the traffic in the mall this place will have customers no matter how badly individual diners are treated. This is probably behind the poor service and poor management- if you don't like it, there are ten suckers lined up behind you to take your place. Lesson learned. read more

I sort of ate here today. The service was good but the food was so salty it actually burned my toungue. It was the beef wellington. The waiter did not give me exactly what I ordered. The description on the menu said it would be covered in crimini mushrooms and came with mashed potatoes. Those 2 items were not on the dish. I also ordered brocolli and I got carrots and brussel sprouts. I didnt say anything I was being polite. But when I bit into it that was it. I told the waiter and the manager came over and said It is marinated over night in a salty mixture. That was not in the description. For the people who don't know, this is the sibling restaurant of Cheesecake Factory. I have been coming here for years thought quite sporadically since it's an hour away from me. I do like this place a lot. It has a much more compact menu than Cheesecake Factory, so not as many options, but the food is generally good, though I do feel Cheesecake's is just a tad better. I only had a problem once when I ordered the Chicken Alfredo Fettuccine and it was very bland, but fortunately they were very understanding and offered to make a new one. I always make it a point to order their buffalo bites and their dynamite shrimp. which is amazing. I have also tried their tacos and calamari which were good. However, the best thing about Grand Lux Cafe is their dessert. It would be a crime to leave without trying their Molten Lava Cake. It is the most heavenly dessert I have ever had and I daydream of it quite frequently. They recommend that you order the dessert about thirty minutes in advance as they bake it fresh at that time. Decided to eat at the Grand Lux restaurant as we were in the area. We arrived around 4pm and were immediately sat in a requested booth. The Grand Lux is grand and spacious to say the least. It definitely resembles the cheese cake factory. The kids enjoyed the kids pasta and by the look of their empty plates enjoyed it. I had the pleasure of eating the shrimp scampi which I would dare to say is the best shrimp scampi I have had. It offers different textures and flavors from savory to sweet. The husband enjoyed the short rib grill cheese which he noted is a very savory and filling dish. We then finished with the warm butter cake, which was shared as a family. I honestly wish we had ordered a second one. Not many restaurants offer vanilla desserts and we wanted to a break from the usual chocolate dessert. Our waitress was really nice but forgetful! This is always my first choice when asked "Where should we eat?" My recent trip was for brunch. I was upset because we wanted mimosas but they couldn't serve liquor until i think 11 and it was 10:30 (dont judge). Why else would anyone wake up for brunch duh. I'll make sure to go at 11:30am next time. I enjoyed my chicken and waffles. The waffles were nice and fluffy and the chicken had the right crunch in the outside and juiciness in the inside. I'm a regular and have gone for lunch and dinner several times. I've enjoyed the grilled salmon with mash it's cooked to perfection. My favorite item on the menu is their chicken enchiladas. They are seasoned well with the right amount of heat that allows you to enjoy the taste of the chicken. You will not be dissapointed at the grand luxe. Prices are average $$. read more

The customer service at this restaurant is absolutely fabulous. I must give kudos to my waiter Brian and the manager Sam. These two gentlemen as a dual made certain that my chicken parmesan and pasta was hot steamy and delicious. Manager Sam wild me with a delicious, absolutely scrumptious, Tastefully Blended butternutsquash soup. The soup was specifically what my tastebuds called for during this holiday season. Allow me to touch your taste buds by telling you how hot, mouth watering, delightfully season the chicken parmesan and Pasto was. I love brunch in general and so was delighted to hear grand lux actually had a pretty extensive brunch menu! But talk about butter overload. Everyone in my party agreed that our food - whether it was eggs or bread or hash browns -- was drenched in butter. The smell was overwhelming and left us all feeling gross. For the record I only ordered a side order of two eggs, trying to be healthy, but I honestly think I might as well have microwaved a stick of butter and just drank it. Won't be back for brunch. Came for a business lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I personally got the Korean fried chicken burrito. Delicious! I would recommend this. My coworker got the Korean bulgogi burger and I tasted a piece, it was good! Last time I came here, I got the bento box, it was underwhelming. It doesn't look like a bento box.
