We got a table for all of us and you order at the counter then they bring the food to your table. I got a brisket sandwich with a side of the famous Mac and cheese and the chocolate chip bread pudding and just wow. The sandwich was so good and all the sauces were delish but the Mac and cheese and the bread pudding were the star. You could tell those have a lot of work to them. My only complaint is price. The brisket was expertly seasoned & very tender, with a perfect layer of fat that made my mouth water. 5/5 The Mac & Cheese was excellent, I havnt tasted better. The macaroni shells used hold a lot of cheese & sauce. I've had their food at some of the other locations, although it's been awhile. It's exciting to have more food options in this area so I wanted to give them a try again. As I remember, they're food is on the mediocre side. We got the baby back ribs, collards, and Mac n cheese. The rub on the ribs had a good flavor that needed a little more salt, sadly, the ribs were kind of dry. I didn't care for the red BBQ sauce. Mac n cheese lacked seasoning and the kinds of cheese were not the stronger cheeses that make Mac n cheese tasty. The collard greens weren't well seasoned either, I wouldn't have known that they were cooked with hamhocks if I didn't see it on their menu. LAWRD!!! GC BBQ made my night!!!!! I was browsing on yelp when I saw it popped up on my list as a new restaurant. Its right off of Bankhead Highway/Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. It is below The Eddy Apartment complex, a nice up and coming area. I ordered online the brisket sandwich $8.99 and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich $6.99. I ordered a medium mac and cheese $7.99 for us to share. I selected curbside pick up but they are open for dine in with social distancing. The area seems to be a little gem and I cant wait to visit again. I use to frequent the location in Milton, Ga because of work. I am so happy there is a location so close to me. The BBQ here is amazing. We like to eat here when we visit the neighboring brewery. Their hours are kind of weird during the winter so make sure you know before you go. Grab a plate, grab a beer, sit in the shared dining rooms and have a great time with friends. read more

Great curbside service with mobile ordering. Part of the Eddy, great area to visit near the river. Service is prompt, friendly, and lives up to the name. All their meat stands alone as excellent. The traditional sauce is very thin and tangy - which is perfect for any of their meats. The NC sauce is a mustard dressing with some sweet heat. Our favorite was the half slab of pork ribs. Just perfect, like candy. We also enjoyed their brisket. While I love it fatty, they do offer the lean option which is made perfect to order. All their pork and smoked meat gives you the option of outside/inside. Baked beans are simple, delicious, sweet, and compliment the meats versus being being the same flavor, as some places prefer the beans catch the smoker drippings. I love that style too, this is just a great version that is based on their traditional sauce. Will try the sausage and SC sauces next time. And we definitely recommend supporting this business and it's adjoining brewery or coffee shop. read more

Has a cool modern vibe to the place. I ordered the chicken plate with green beans and potato salad. The green beans had a slight spicy taste to them but other than that, tasted like any green beans. The potato salad was ok. The texture of the potato was perfect, not too hard and not too soft, however it was on the sweeter end. If you like that type of taste then you may like this potato salad. Just one of those days I craved bbq and this was the closet that I knew of with brisket. Ordered 3 brisket and 2 pork sandwiches with a side of coleslaw. I saw another review where someone said the meat was tasteless and it was exactly that. All I can really say is I have it a try. I'll leave it at that other than it was a waste of money. I was excited to see a bbq spot near my home so I didn't have to drive to Heirloom all the time. I was so very disappointed! Everything lacked flavor in a MAJOR way. . The slice of white bread had more flavor than the brisket and pulled pork. I was not a fan of the sauce, but I'm very picky about sauce so no stars deduced for that. It was just the meat. I love this place. The location is so random and I'm the middle of nowhere but once you get there it is worth it. The outdoor dining and river views make this so fun and there is a beer hall next door and a coffee shop with treats also. Such a bomb southern bbq spot and that Mac n cheese is incredible ! I used to love coming here for the beef ribs and brisket. I've been following them since Krog Street location. Today I was disappointed to find out that there's no beef ribs. Normally it would be ok, but the guy sold me the rack saying they were beef. When I got home (30 minutes away) I opened them to see no beef ribs. Wasted money, time, and gas. I called the establishment for the young man to say sorry we only sell pork ribs and he can't do anything about it. Why didn't he say that when I asked? The inside of this location was really nice - we really liked the atmosphere and the idea that you could play games while waiting on your food. I ordered the rib and meat combo (pulled pork) with greens and coleslaw. The ribs and pulled pork were tender, but wasn't hot. The coleslaw was okay (but I wouldn't get again) and the greens had no flavor - kinda like they just cooked them in water with no seasoning. My husband had the low n slow (brisket) with Brunswick stew and mac & cheese. The low n slow was over saturated with the BBQ sauce, the meat in the Brunswick strew lacked flavor, and the consistency of the stew was more like broth. The "award winning" Mac & cheese needed salt and pepper. The customer service was good, but we won't be back. read more
