I had never bought a full slab before, but I'm glad I did! I got to take it and share it with my friends who are now going to TDT as as frequent customers! It's a bit far from my home, but it's well worth the drive! It's always a special treat to get the ribs or barbecue and their peach cobbler is to die for! I got a vegetable platter so that I could share that as well! Great location - inside the Shell station on the Floyd Road access point to the Silver Comet trail Easy parking Great customer service Ok sides I'm not huge meat eater but needed something to eat so I opted for a veggie plate. The price is pretty standard $16.95. The collards could have been cooked longer. There was also a ton of seasonings sprinkled on top. The cornbread was good but very sweet. now im really not a rib person but i had a taste for some today. these ribs were tender and flavorful without the sauce which speaks volumes. smoke and flavor were A1. ill be back to try the brisket because im an elder at the texas bbq missionary cathedral, and i have to be ready for it. now the real star of this show was the mac n cheese. she put me to sleep! seems like the best bbq around atl is in mableton. customer service was polite and food did not take long to come out. read more

Jesus Christ. I stumbled upon this place buying lottery tickets! Unfortunately they had sold out of food by time I got there. So I made it a point to go back the next day to get food and I am so glad I did. I had the smoked wings, mac and cheese and baked beans. I have not inhaled food like that so quickly in my life. It was amazing to me. You always find the best places in holes in the wall (gas stations!) Unreal.. Going down the road hungry and saw a guy with a big beard taking ribs off the smoker and so you know you gotta bust a U'ie and try the BBQ! 10/10 was not disappointed. Greeted by Chef Chombe with a big contagious smile! Immediately given a samples - a rib, smoked wing, brisket, and baked beans and mac n cheese. The service was above and beyond anything that i expected. Not only that, but Chombe hooked me up as a first time customer with some peach cobbler. 5 stars easily! Don't let the location fool you.. this is great food!!! All of the options for bbq.. beef rib, pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket, sausage, turkey, etc. I ordered a brisket plate with green beans and baked beans with beef as my side. ( you have option of ground beef or turkey) Like a lot of bbq places, they allow you to you to sample the sides! I also tried the greens, and the Mac and cheese. I can honestly say every side is worth it!! Everything was fire. So whenever you pick a side just go with what you have a taste for! You literally can't go wrong.. Everything was cooked exceptionally. The brisket wasn't quite as tender and smoked as I'm used to but I still enjoyed it! Everything was seasoned perfectly, not too much of anything.. Oh and they're sauce is great too! Usually bbq restaurants down south sauces are mustard or vinegar based, I think there's might have been tomato! I'm upgrading my review and downgrading my opinion of my Fav. Barbecue joint because of the lighter fluid pass through taste into the ribs n Brisket. For true professionals, this must be burned off before the cook starts. However the demand for product can force Chef's to hurry up the process n as a consequence, compromise the taste of a otherwise great product. I HOPE THEY TAKE HEED TO THIS ISSUE. Stopped by yesterday while in the area. Got ribs, wings potato salad and green beans. Ribs and chicken were so cold and the meat had lost all color -- they were old and cold. So old and cold they didn't even bother with putting any bbq sauce on them. Just dry old meat! Yes I'm upset at a cost of over $30. First sign I should have checked my order was that it was ready before I paid --should have made me inspect the boxes. At least they could have tried to hide the old meat with sauce but that shows they didn't care! Meat was also too salty! Dissatisfied and disappointed! read more

Chef is incredible and is willing to work with you any menu you are trying to create for your event. We have used TDT for Baby showers, Family Reunions, Homecoming, and GameDays and they don't miss. The Mac is a staple- if you aren't ordering the Mac why are you here. All of the sides are A1. They have an off the menu platter that included Chicken, Ribs, and Brisket and multiple sides. First time trying this place I ordered on ubereats. It far exceeded my expectations and the pricing is great for what you get. I normally order from sweet auburn, but their sides and prices make me avoid them. Everything in the pics ( 5 rib bones, 3 thick slices of brisket, 2 healthy side portions, 2 pieces of bread, and about 20 wings) came to $25 with a coupon I had on ubereats. Granted idk if they charged me correctly for the wings. I ordered 5 but they sent 20. It was sooo good! The rub on the wings did hit a bit salty, but the smoke was perfect. The ribs were tender and smoky and the sides (mac n cheese and yams) paired perfectly and we delicious in their own respects. My favorite thing was the brisket though. honestly, I was kind of skeptical when I pulled up because I saw a lot of reviews about seeing smoke but then again it was raining. I went for the brisket. They didn't have any brisket. I ended up getting ribs. These are some of the most tender fall off the bone ribs. The mac & cheese was a 10 out of 10. The yams were sweet and delicious. The collard greens were just amazing. Wow! This place is a gem! It's a true hole in the wall (located inside a shell gas station), but it is some of the best barbecue I've had in Smyrna. Not to mention their prices are great as well. They have a ton of items to choose from and even have rotating menus in addition to their classic menu. I ordered the ribs plate with a side of Mac & cheese and collard greens. The ribs were real good & come right off the bone. The Mac & cheese is creamy, but very cheesy and good as well. The collard greens are so good! As somebody who has not really been a fan of collard greens, I was pleasantly surprised. I'll 100% be back here, especially for the desserts. They have a strawberry cobbler that they were sold out of, but I really want to try it. They also have key lime & strawberry cakes sometimes so I'll have to see what those taste like too! read more

Everything is amazing here... seriously I have yet to be disappointed. I've been 3 times now and keep trying new things and they're all good. My favorite is probably the salmon, macaroni and cheese, and green beans. They also sometimes have it over a rice with crab/shrimp seafood sauce that is good. My partner loves the beans (I got him a quart last time and suffered all weekend) and the ribs, both pork and beef. Brisket is pretty solid too considering we are in Georgia! This spot is located Inside the Shelle gas station. If your not from around that area, you would probably miss it. First let me say the prices are TOO HIGH!!! for the amount of food you get. Now! I heard about this spot from a couple of coworkers. They went on and on about some dang Turkey Rib. First of all... WHAT THE HECK IS A TURKEY RIB? DO TURKEY'S HAVE RIB? I'M JUST SAYING!!! :-\ Okay I purchased two orders of these so called turkey ribs with two sides and a order of ribs. These turkey ribs had a God flavor "which they look like little breast not ribs" and they was dry and cost $13. Now! Let me tell you... Those ribs was off the hook. They was tender, flavorful and juicy. BUT!!!!!!!!!! they gave you 3 little bones for $12 or $13.. WTH!!! The sides I order with the meals was not the best. We didn't like the bake beans (wayyy too sweet) the collard greens (wasn't flavorful or just not good) the Brunswick stew was (wayyy too sweet as well) But that corn bread was the best, and I'm not even a bread eater. Some of the best BBQ I've ever had, by far the best OTP. The beef ribs are fire. Amazingly tender, so much flavor, reallly meaty. The brisket is also on point with a great smoky flavor. I'm a sucker for thick cut brisket and this was cut super thicc. The bits on the outside with a crispy crust and melty fat were amazing. The pulled pork was good, but the least amazing of the three ( to be fair pulled pork is almost always good for me.) For sides, the Brunswick stew was the meatiest I've tried. I don't even know what all was in there, but I found some surprise sausage which was great. The baked beans (with beef) were also great and had a good portion of meat in them. Mac and cheese was solid. Creamy but not too liquidy. The collard greens were the least memorable of the sides, I could have used a little more salt but I sometimes like food more salty than the average person. They keep it simple with the sauce. There's not five options like at some places, but the one they have is perfect (unless you're married to one of the Carolina varieties.) It's tasty and tangy. We got the food and ate it in the gas station. They have a few counter seats and a table. The location/ambiance in no way detracted from the experience. There are some exceptions, you but in general I believe BBQ restaurants should be without frills anyway. The service was quick and really nice. (Who I'm guessing was) the pitmaster/chef came out and asked us how everything was and he is super friendly. My in-laws live near by and whenever possible I will grab food from here for sure ! Some gas station barbecue joints are incredible. Some are just OK. This is one of the just OK places.

Customer service was poor. I called in to place an order (after seeing instruction online to call ahead) and the girl that answered the phone and told me after I said I wanted to place an order for pick up that they weren't taking them and I can just come in and order. I thought that was strange, especially given the conditions being in public places during COVID. When I walked in to order the service wasn't any different from my experience on the phone. It was almost as if I was bothering her. Parking: little to none - the establishment is actually in a small gas station so the parking is very limited. It was around 3p in the afternoon so it was busy and there was no parking available when I went. I had to park along the side of the parking lot in a makeshift parking spot. Atmosphere: small and congested. You have to walk the front convenience store area to get to the back where the restaurant is located. The order area is walk up and then your email given a ticket to go to the front cash register for the convenience store area and stand in line to pay there. Cleanliness: there was a posted report on here that the health score was an A, but I wasn't sure if that's recent or not. There were flies in the building flying around the restaurant area and the same girl who took my order wore gloves when prepping the food, but there was a barrier to block visual of the food as it's being prepared and while I didn't see her fix my order because I was in line to pay up front, I did see her prepare another order. She wore gloves but I saw her go to the trash can and touch several other things in the area with the gloves on before discarding them after she finished his order. Pricing: it was fair for the amount of food given. I paid 15.00 for five wings, two sides and purchased an extra side. Food: the food was disappointing. I ordered smoked wings, green beans, Mac and cheese and yams. The wings were small and seemed to be dry and over smoked or from earlier in the day, the green beans were bitter and seasoned with something I couldn't identify. I ended up not eating them at all. The Mac and cheese was a little dry but over all ok. The yams weren't good either. They seemed to be seasoned with applesauce and/or lemon juice. They certainly did not meet the mark of expectation for southern cooking. There are a variety of things in the menu to choose from though. Overall review: the overall experience was poor and I will not be returning. Especially after finding myself in the bathroom at 3:45am as a result of the meal. While pricing was fair and the ratings seemed to be inviting, I would be hard pressed to support or consume again. read more

OMG this place was sooo good. As you are driving closer you start to smell the bbq before you get there, so drive with your windows down. It's located inside the Shell gas station. The grills are outside. You go back to the counter and place your order, you get a ticket and you pay up front. Kids get a free beef hot dog while they last. My kids got the last 2 for the day at around 6:30. This place is pretty much take out only. They had one small bistro table that could sit 2, but like I said, it's in a gas station, so I'm sure most take out. The menu has all the regular bbq stuff and some cool other things, like lamb ribs. They also have specials. I got the dino rib (beef rib) special $18.95, and it was so worth it. Not sure what they do to it but you basically get 2 or 3 ribs on one bone. For sides I got mac n cheese and collard greens. We also had yams and baked beans. Everything was amazing. I don't even eat carbs, but I ate every one of those and loved every moment. I almost want to bring all of the other BBQ places I've tried down a star, just because this place is so good. I found this place from a fellow Yelper's review, Jang C.'s review. I've been on a quest for good southern BBQ. I found some decent ones, but not the best. I've tried many of the top BBQ, and they can't even touch this place. I've past this area when I needed to go to buy grocery's at Publix. I didn't even know they had BBQ here. It is at a Shell gas station. Okay, so, lucky for me, it wasn't busy. I told them that it was my first time here, and they said, "We treat our customer's with love". And boy did they teat us with love. We didn't know what to get, there was so much food offered. So, they helped us out by letting us try their pork ribs. It is literally one of the best ribs I've had. I try not to over-exaggerate, but it is true. On top of letting us try their ribs, they let us try their peach cobbler. I am actually not a fan of cobbler. This may change my mind. I wouldn't eat it all the time because it is so sweet for me, but if you are a fan of peach cobbler, I would recommend you trying it out here. Is that all? Nope, they let me try their pasta, their shrimp pasta and their gumbo. So after the hard decisions into picking out what to order, we decided on their pork ribs and brisket. My sides were rice and mac n cheese. My boyfriend got the beans and mac and cheese. We got our ticket and paid at the gas station side. Once we paid, we showed them the receipt. When we got home, my boyfriend and I really do enjoy their ribs more. The brisket was good, but I'm bad and I like the fatty brisket more.
