This is one of my favorite places to get a veggie plate. I have yet to be disappointed. The customer service is on point.

RC had approached her with a flier at a gas station, informing her that his restaurant had just opened up. Anyway, I'm ordering my meal, the same meal I always get each time I go. Fried fish (whiting), collards and the baked beans (unmatched). And he goes, "What would you like to drink?".... I'm like, "What do you have?" (Assuming the usual. Sweet tea. Lemonade... I was probably gonna go with sweet tea. ) He lists sweet tea of course, and then hes like, "Kool-Aid, coke, sprite" - IM LIKE WAIT. DID YOU SAID KOOL-AID?......... He's like, "Yeah??..." Im like, "what flavor???.... "Purple?...." I had never heard of that at a restaurant, and quiet frankly, that's all I needed to know. At this point, I literally go nowhere else for soul food. Also, RC is amazing. Really good guy, and his team offer the best service as well. A job well done, always.

Now I have had the turkey wings before and they was OK so she let me taste the dressing and I was like OK because I was iffy on the rice and dislocation. Things can be a hit or miss depend depending on who's in the kitchen. So service was amazing. She helped me, but also explained a few things to me because for the first time she asked me do you want cranberry sauce? I've never had anybody asked me do I want cranberry sauce I just thought they never served it. But here's where the dilemma comes in because we haven't even got to the Food yet you see what I'm saying. So asked me was I using cash or card? I didn't think anything of it because I don't see a sign or anything that you're charging people to use their card. So I pay but in my mind I'm saying hold on something ain't right because that's $85 plus tax. Why is it $93.08 ? So she said do you want to see I said yes I'll look at my receipt and if I have paid cash, it would've been $90.10 with tax which that should've been what it is. but oh no another Atlanta thing that people do you scam people and charge me almost three dollars two dollars and ninety eight cents for using my card. So I ask y'all charge me for using my card? Because being honest, I was almost to the point just to refund everything. You go to McDonald's you go to certain other restaurant they don't charge you for using your debit or credit card. So she explained to me yes we used to have signs out for corporate. Doesn't want signs out. Now me a run a business I know what it may you may be charged but the way they're charging it is it's not no set price. The more you spend the more they charge you to use your card.! and that is a rip off. That is the reason I'll never go to this location again I will try the one on Camp Creek and see if they are charging people to use their card because I went there for a few weeks ago and got some chitlins because that is the location. I love to go to the food is subpar. We already know that but those chitlins I can't deny they're good. And normally I would go to Camp Creek just for the chitlins you right I will go! Because this location I've got chitlins and they stink to high heel because they wasn't cleaned enough. But you know how they say you give give people another chance. And I told him I'm gonna do a Google review. I'm gonna do a yelp review and videos to post on social media. But this is my fault because they already have a two star is average. No wonder they need to charge people to use their card that's another way for them to get money in their pockets as to corporate. You don't see other corporate chain, restaurants, charging you to use your cord. This is almost like that you see some of those gas stations where they charge you a little under regular gas prices for using cash, but charge you a little higher gas price for using your debit or credit card. It's all a ploy to get more money in their pockets. How do I know this? I have an insider I'm a aerospace engineer so I know what a corporation can be charged for but the reason they're being charge is because really it's only like 15 $.20 per person to use your card but when business isn't good yeah you got it you got you know create extra funds, and this is a way that you create extra funds to supplement the loss of money. Now let's get to the Food. The turkey wings bland, and they wasn't cooked long enough. The tip wasn't even edible unless you get a knife and fork and I should've been able to suck them bones and slide that meat off there. So I am a bariatric patient and if it don't taste good, it goes in the trash and that's what happened to those turkey wings, and that cabbage . I won't waste a little bit. I can eat on stuff that isn't good or great ! The dressing it was good this day, especially with the cranberry sauce that I have for the first time that was great. The cabbage throw that in the trash hell damn no. The sweet potato soufflé you can't mess that up. Well sometimes you can, but I've never had it messed up. That was great. I almost wish I would've got me a veggie plate with sweet potato soufflé the dressing and gravy and some Black Eyed Peas cause I don't like their macaroni and cheese and I'm a cook. I'm a home chef. Lastly the chitlins was OK. I need to put a little red pepper flakes. And some hot sauce and a little bit of seasoning blend but I woke them up. I think from now on I'll go to Camp Creek if I want some chitlins. Just understand if you go to this location or the corporate locations they are charging you to use your debit or credit card! And it's not one price the more you spend the more that charge is . It should be one set price. It doesn't change CORPORATE!!! I'm giving it a one star because that's for the chitlins being OK

Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The meats were overcooked, and the sides tasted undeniably old and not fresh at all. What made the experience even worse was the customer service. The cashier was rude, and the server continuously rushed my family and me while we were trying to decide what sides we wanted. Her attitude was the worst part of the visit. We spent nearly $80 on what was honestly some of the worst soul food we've had. Years ago, This Is It was known as a staple in Atlanta, but sadly, that was not our experience today. The food quality has declined, and the staff could truly benefit from customer service and hospitality etiquette training. Very disappointing experience.

I had the fried chicken with the mac & cheese and collard greens with all of the sauces and it was perfect. Not too salty nor was it oily. My husband's had the oxtail. As someone who genuinely enjoys supporting Black woman-owned businesses, I was especially excited to visit for the Juneteenth fish fry. The restaurant advertised the special heavily on Instagram and encouraged guests to make reservations through OpenTable, which we did. Given both the holiday and the promotion surrounding the event, it was reasonable to expect a larger crowd and prepare accordingly. The Juneteenth special was priced at $18.65 and included your choice of fish with fries, grits, or spaghetti, along with a roll and coleslaw. For the price, the amount of food was certainly fair, and I appreciate the effort to create a special menu for the holiday. Unfortunately, this visit reminded me why it had been some time since my first experience here. Once seated, service became very inconsistent. Our server was pleasant whenever we saw her, but we only saw her a couple of times throughout the meal. Refills, check-ins, and updates on the food were limited, and the overall pace of service felt very slow. The food itself was mixed. The collard green roll was easily the standout item and was the one thing I truly enjoyed. The fish had an interesting flavor profile that seemed to include curry or turmeric, which I did not mind, but it was heavily salted and overly seasoned for my taste. The coleslaw portion was extremely small, amounting to little more than a spoonful. What stood out most was the inconsistency. Portions varied around the table, and several people in our party did not finish their meals. We also noticed multiple surrounding tables leaving food behind and openly discussing the lengthy wait times and service issues with one another. I understand that holidays can bring larger crowds, especially when people intentionally seek out Black-owned businesses to support on Juneteenth. However, because reservations were accepted and encouraged, the restaurant appeared unprepared for the volume of guests it anticipated. I truly wanted to enjoy this experience, and I will always support Black-owned businesses when I can. The staff members we encountered were kind, but the execution, service, and consistency simply did not match the occasion this time around.

So we stopped in to the cafe to get something to eat. The establishment was clean and they had a nice variety of food to choose from. The staff wasn't...unfriendly...I'll say they were focused. This day my mom ordered smothered turkey wings with rice and gravy and about 4 or 5 sides . I ordered the fried chicken with black eyed peas, green beans, and yams. The food was DELICIOUS!! The reason if ace them three stars was because I went back the next day to grab a few plates for me and my family that I was going to bring back home from Atlanta. Before I left my mom's house unused Uber Eats to place my order and I would pick it up and then hit the highway home. I ordered my food around 1:35pm and got the notification it would be ready by 1:53. Cool! I'd have time to get there without rushing as the ride would take about 25 minutes. Well I get there around 2:05 and had to wait a few minutes before I was served as there were people in line before me. Well long story short...I didn't leave the restaurant until around 2:45 as they hadn't even started on my order when I arrived! Ten people came in after me and left before I did...!! Which of course put me way behind schedule on getting back home. And on top of all that...three things were replaces on my order...I was sitting there the WHOLE time!! They could have asked me about replacements. And I say that because I have a gluten allergy and they gave me macaroni & cheese!! No cornbread that should have been free. I thought they would have at least offered me a dessert for making me wait so long but...they didn't. So even though our food was delicious...the service I received on day two definitely needed some work!!!! The food is definitely down home southern comfort food and the menu has a variety of options. I will be back but I sincerely hope that I receive better service next time.

No picture sorry…read more I'll get to the point. Not from GA, but while here decided tk try what was local. PROS - food well seasoned. I ordered Black Eyed Peas, baked chicken, yams, and peach cobbler. 3 stars - Weird vibe, I get the seating outside but no restroom available for customers - had to eat this food in the rental car. Then go to local Publix to wash my hands from the food. Not pleased. CONS - peach cobbler albeit good the portion size for 8.00 was a tall ask. I get the profit margin here however I think if you want returned customers I think allowing paying customers to use the restroom would be ideal. Noon time I'd think the service bar area the take rations from should always be cleaned and presentable for selection. It wasn't. Almost left but had a drive ahead of me so this was about taste vs demand.
