My go to buffet every time I'm in town. They never disappoint either. I look forward to going at least twice when in town, once for lunch for the rice noodles (yuummm) and once for dinner. Of course sometimes we do make it out more often, but I gotta go at least twice. read more

Update: i did like this place but after returning I went and got food to go and they over charged me by upping the weight and you can't see the scale . Although she told me the weigh was under a pound . I was still charged extra weight . Go to Ocean Star, they are friendlier and you are able to weight it yourself and see the scale. read more

Very nice surprise. It was a Friday night, and the place was crowded, but the food was turned over quickly, especially the crab and crayfish. It was simple, but yummy. The teppanyaki was very good, which was unexpected. Our server was very attentive. Great experience and value! read more

I was not able to check in here. It said I was too far away. I believe they have recently relocated. Not sure. I met my Cajun family here for dinner tonight. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the evening was delightful. We had a party of 7. We had a great spot to sit at. The sushi was very good and fresh. The Su Chef was preparing the sushi as we were getting our sushi. Very fresh sushi. Then I proceeded to get the fresh fruits they had available. Very good. Then on to the the main course. The shrimp and ever tying else was hot, fresh and seasoned well. All of the food on the buffet seemed very fresh. Then I got a small bowl of ice cream in a cup. The waitress was excellent. She removed the empty plates and made sure we had everything we needed. Kudos to grand Buffet. I am from Jax. Fl. I wanted to treat my family here, we all had a great time. Next trip to La. This place is your typical chinese buffet. It isn't great but it isn't terrible. My family likes to go here for birthdays and such because there is never a wait for a table and they can accomodate large groups in a moment's notice. My grandpa loves to go and eat all-you-can-eat king crab legs. My husband and I like the mongolian grill. Prices are higher Friday - Sunday but there is usually lots of seafood on the buffet. read more

Average! It is a Chinese Buffet, what more could you ask for. They have your average Sushi, with your average Hibachi, and your average price! This place isn't great but isn't bad. I was slightly concerned about the Sushi it was under warm bulbs and not on ice so just be warned. read more

When you go to get a to go order for the buffet they weigh your food on a scale at the register and charge you by the pound in the lil styrofoam container instead of charging you like all other places just for a to go order. You talk about busy! This place was hoping for lunch. I've been to a bunch of Chinese buffets and this one measures up. Plenty of fresh hot dishes that they kept coming. For the money it is a good value. The next time I'm in town I'll have to catch dinner and see about their seafood selection and skills. read more

I stopped eating here a while back because the food was not very good and the prices are high but a friend wanted to go for lunch. BIG MISTAKE. I ordered the cashew chicken. First of all there was not a single cashew on the plate. I had to keep spitting the chicken into a napkin because it had hard rubbery pieces, YUCK! I thought I might have better luck with the dessert. WRONG. Both the almond cookies and the flaky B shaped cookies were stale and the ice cream was watery/runny. Don't waste your money here. The best Chinese food I've eaten in a long time. The rice is beyond incredible, but the noodles are not great, everything else is fantastic. No gumbo though. But that's ok. Dessert is average, just vanilla and chocolate ice cream and cookies. read more

I found a long black hair in my mushrooms. I called the waitress then she called the manager .He then came said he was sorry and would give me a discount. My friends kept eating I couldn't. So I looked at the ticicket and it said 10% off the drink. that is what the the discount was. So I was pissed, because the hair was on the side the side of mouth, and is his explanation is allthe kitchen people have long have hair. So I told him have you have you ever heard of hair nets or shaving? The board of health needs to go in there I have seen I lot of stuff in there. read more

The one thing I have noticed about the abundant all you can eat Chinese buffets here in Houma, is not much on the menu is Chinese! It's more fried chicken, fried potatoes, fried EVERYTHING. The Chinese food that is there is bland and mushy. People practically shove you out of the way from the crab legs and crawfish. And everything just seems like it's been sitting either there or in the back room for a long time. Food has that shiny look food gets just sitting. read more

None of the food was labeled correctly, so you have issues with knowing what exactly you're getting. All of the food was left from the bottom of the pan and the servers did not seem intent on refilling them anytime soon. We love Grand Buffet. The food is fresh, and the variety is good. This buffet is kid friendly having more than just a choice of fries and nuggets available. It is also our dibetic's favorite because he loves to go to grill and put together his healthy stir-fry. The salad bar is average and the desserts are the typical variety with lots of fruits to chose from. There is soft serve icecream machine add your fruits and make a banana split. Worst experience at a Chinese buffet ever. I was better off going to golden Dragon. I just left. I got the shrimp and they were disgusting and mushy. Lastly before we left we got dessert and the ice cream was good but my sister and I got the syrup covered bananas and there were bugs in them. I told my waitress and she took our plates and sent them to the back and I asked for a manager and he did nothing. Did not apologize until we left or even take it off our bill. Never again. We thought we could enjoy a Cheese buffet, but, We waited 4 times for the crab to be refilled and then just left. The snow crab was only put out in amass portions at 30 minute intervals. The blue claw crab were either dead or empty. The service was wore than poor. Why did we go back. Must be early onset confusion. Will never go back and most certainly will not recommend.
