Dumplings + coconut milk soup

My reviews are 1-5 (with 5 being the best) Food: 3.5 Service: 4.5 Ambiance: 4 I had a great server name Allison. She was very polite, patient, recommended her favorite dishes. Overall rating:3/5

Fried Tofu
Genevieve F.

I loved the crispy fried tofu and the lemongrass soup with shrimp. Their fried tofu sauce was a wee bit different than I'm used to but I asked for hoisin sauce and it was perfect, the fried tofu itself came with yummy cucumbers in a sweet sauce and that was a perfect accompaniment. The Lemongrass Soup is bomb, with amazing flavors all mix d together. I asked for 3 stars and that was "my bad." I guess their 3 stars is super hot. Next time I'm doing 2 stars.

Great food w large portions in a very casual and open setting. In addition, the service is great & the price very reasonable. We had 2 appetizers w 2 entrees and it was still under $50. Highly recommended!

Chicken noodles. I forgot the name.

This place is pretty darn good! Outside it is your standard metal building but it is spacious and comfortable inside. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating. I had the crab puffs and the chicken noodles. 2 out of 5 spicy was enough for me but then I am not too much of a spicy food guy. Prices were fair for the portion. I came away full and satisfied!

One of my favorite places to dine when in my home town. The food is always great and the portions they give you are out of this world. A must check out spot if you are looking for real food in Houma. Or you could just go eat at one of those chain joints that are a dime a dozen. Nah I think I'll pass, hopefully you do the same. Check out Song Phi Nong, you won't be disappointed!

My favorite Thai spot anywhere. The combo pad Thai is the best I've ever had. And they have a great rotating craft beer selection.

Everything was amazing from the…read moreappetizers all the way to the entrées -- and don't even get me started on the mango cheesecake ‍. Our server, Cherry, was the sweetest ever -- so helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind. She made us feel welcomed and taken care of from start to finish. I was even checked on by the chef himself, which really says a lot about the level of care and hospitality here. Both the chef and Cherry casually checked in to make sure everything was perfect, and it truly was. The Curry Puffs were TOP TIER. I had to have that same curry sauce again -- you'll have to ask Cherry about that one because wow. Every bite was packed with flavor. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and relaxed, making the entire dining experience even better. From the food to the service to the overall vibe, everything was phenomenal.

Initially, the ambience and vibe of Pomelo are very bland. Little to no decor and white walls. But…read moremaybe that's because all the fun and vibrancy was on the plate!!!! The food was GREAT!!!! The flavor in every single dish had my jaw on the floor. I don't know how they packed so much punch in their curries but....WOW. Service was also good. Our server wasn't very talkative or responsive but when one of our dishes came out cold, she immediately brought us back a hot one. I'm not sure I could pick a favorite dish out of the three we got, but I will say I took an extra Salmon Curry to go ;) Will be back!

With that out of the way, choosing tofu as the protein opens up almost the entire menu, very nice. We had Pad Thai, Pad Cha stir fry, and tofu soup. All were very well seasoned and outstanding. We ate at the sidewalk seating on a glorious evening. Not much more to say. Order at the counter, get a number, find a table, food will be delivered and the table cleared. When we arrived there was a line out the door (maybe 20-25 yards); this line was constant from the time we arrived til we departed. It moved reasonably well and it appeared many of the people knew each other. People visiting other tables, probably more than any restaurant I've ever been at. Definitely would return.

Really nice meal before the show with my vegetarian friends…read more Recently a couple of friends and I needed to grab a quick bite. I thought we were going to another place when one of my guests suggested Thaihey across the street from the fire station on Decatur. Yes, sure. It's a typical Quarter restaurant with its long gallery seating. We were seated right away. The menu appeared to be heavily vegetarian which was great for my two friends. Many will understand the limited menu options for vegetarians at most places. Wes ordered Tom Kai, Becky the Massaman Jackfruit option and I the one with short rib. It was delicious. It was warm and comforting, full of flavor and the chef made it less spicy for me. What a delight to choose a menu option that I have never had and restaurant that I have never been to. You believe that I'll return for certain. Especially for that gorgeous Mai Tai!
