Great food....rather the menu ordering instead of the buffet....nice and quiet. Definitely recommend I always eat at this restaurant when I come to home. No other Chinese restaurant. read more

Food was horrible. I had the boneless chicken. It came with fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken was cooked but the breading was raw, the rice tasted rancid and the egg roll tasted like it had gone bad. A one and done for me. 2 hours later I had diarrhea and nausea. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! read more

I went with my son, Bert to pick up our food for the family. They all know Bert on a first name basis! The food had great flavor. It was enough to last me for three meals. I asked him how did they all know him. He works a Terrebone Ford. They all order lunch there a lot and then he comes in the evenings after work a lot too. The entire family enjoyed what we had for dinner. read more

Best Chinese restaurant in the Houma/Thibodaux area. The service is always very good (exceptional when your server is Jamaica -- she is always extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable of the menu, and she provides excellent service). The food is very good and the ambiance of the restaurant is great. We haven't had an entree that wasn't good although the chicken items with breading tend to be very heavy on the batter and very small on the pieces of chicken. The egg rolls aren't very good (low quality and taste more like supermarket frozen egg rolls), but the hot and sour soup is fantastic (although odd that they charge you extra for a few chopped green onions added to the soup). There are a lot more positives than negatives to this restaurant and always worth a visit. read more

The food is so good. 10 out of 10 One of our favorite Chinese restaurants. We tried a few in the area and nothing compares. Service is amazing. Would definitely recommend read more

Love the food here! It's obvious the owner takes pride in this place...Very clean and modern!

I sat at my table for 10 minutes. 1/3 of the tables were seated. No one at the bar. No one came to wait on me. Too bad - the food looked good. Maybe next time. read more

I've been coming here for years. Food is delicious & customer service is excellent. Floors are always clean, the food is always fresh, and takeout orders are the bomb. read more

I enjoyed the buffet, as since Covid came around they went back to ordering off the menu, I hope this gets reviewed... the buffet was a lot more of a lesser pricing than menu, as you get more for the price of your pay than off the menu. read more

Went there last night , hostess was a17 year old girl that seemed like she would rather talk to her friend that was next to her than do her job. Went to buffet and it was a small buffet with 2 shrimp dishes and a crawfish. Other samplings were several noodle dishes and the ubiquitous beef on stick and fried chicken. Had three different noodle dish and the chicken and beef on stick. Took several bites of noodles and one of the beef and that was it for me( I did eat all the chicken). I got up ,paid the $13 plus and the school girl never questioned why I would leave after less than 5 min at the buffet. Good food and help are too hard to find. I went to White Bowl Vietnamese food after leaving this place. Will post both receipts for the skeptics. read more

Golden Dragon - Chinese Near Me - Houma, Louisiana

First of all, the wontons in the wonton soup had no filling in it and the broth was sour. The crabmeat delight was hard and the filling was a hard ball of cream cheese. Service was fine. The blackened chicken, I had to spit out. Whatever it was, it made me disgusted. The mongolian beef had about 8 pieces of beef and all onions. It was like a soup of onions. If I'm going to pay almost $15 for this plate, I expect to actually have beef in it. The fried rice, it wasn't seasoned all the way including the fact that a portion of the rice wasn't full of soy sauce. Also, the table was wobbly. This annoyed me so much. This is something that if I tried once, I wouldn't go there again. The Lo mein was unseasoned, very bland. I also wish that the noodles would be thicker. I thought that the amount of Lo mein wasn't worth the price. Overall not impressed at all and honestly would rather spend my $100 at Ocean Star. Not to mention, the white rice wasn't even cooked correctly. For being a Chinese restaurant, the rice was raw and undercooked. read more

So here's my Golden Dragon experience... driving up I was having second thoughts, but once I got inside it was clean and I was greeted immediately and seated. Now the buffet is small. If you're in town from a big city, you're probably going to be looking for the rest of it. Just so we establish that... you need to know it's not a super buffet with 100's of items. There's probably about 30-40 items on the buffet. Food quality was alright. Not great, but not bad. There are certain things I always get when I go to a buffet and some of those were missing. I also got there toward the end of lunch and there were a lot of empty spaces in the buffet. All of that being said, if you find yourself in Houma and absolutely have to have Chinese food, it's not a bad spot. Everything seemed up to temperature and the staff was friendly enough. There's a lot of really good options in Houma... this one is just a niche craving for me. read more

MSG city. After eating there, my hands swole up from all the MSG. it's a shame bc this place used to be my favorite spot. They are so worried with getting you in and out of there now. read more

This Is our go to place when we are in Houma. We have been eating here for about 10 years and my wife and I have never been disappointed. We ask for the same server each time (Mr. Mike) he is the best. And even though it's not the biggest buffet around it is the best one. read more

Probably the best Chinese buffet in Houma. Also, the chicken wings are absolutely insane!

My favorite thing about this restaurant is its consistency. The food and the atmosphere are almost always consistent. The same food selections and the same staff almost every time for the last 3 years. Not the best Chinese food I've ever had but close to the best on a buffet in the Houma area. For now I'll give it 4 stars as the place could use some upgrades and I have had an issue with the staff about bringing our own bottle of water. Other than that, the food is really good and their prices are reasonable. Definitely my family's go to spot in Houma for Chinese food! read more

This is an ok. Chines buffet, but it's not saying to much that my favorite thing in the buffet was the cheese sticks. No if you are looking for fantastic cheese sticks, this is the place for you. read more

Best Chinese food in Houma as far as buffet. Consistent and fresh. Friendly. Only buffet I go to. Friendly staff. And now snow crab foe dinner on the weekends. Must try it. My go to for Chinese. I never disappoints. read more

Golden Dragon is my go to place for amazing Chinese food. Chinese. Not Korean. Or Japanese. It doesn't have sushi. Don't give it 1 star because you think just because it's asain everyone will have it. Golden Dragon has some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. The staff is also very nice. Expect whenever it gets busy on a Friday night, 6 people are waiting for their takeout, people keep piling in, and only one person is working the counter. Other than that, amazing! And the parking lot isn't that great. Vegetable Fried Rice Number 1! read more

Again when you are craving Chinese or maybe you are Chinese and want a good dinner. Goo food service and menu, definitely yummy.

Horrible place to eat. Horrible service and employees are rude. Got good poisoning from eating out here and I ordered my good without peanuts because I'm allergic and they straight disregarded that. Like they didn't even care. Never going back here again and I suggest no one else does too. Also saw a roach running around in the dining room. The health board should go shut the place down. read more

The best "Chinese Buffet" in Houma. Small restaurant with a limited selection. Prices are on par with the other buffets in town. If you're looking for a large buffet you'll want to choose another place, but if you just want the best tasting food, this is it. read more

The food was cold. It was left out and definitely not fresh..I will not go back there service was bad

This was the second time I have eaten at this restaurant. The first time I had the buffet, but this time I was too late for buffet, so I ordered off of the menu. One of my favorite things to order at Chinese restaurants is Shrimp Egg Fu Yung. I hit it just right, this place makes the best I have ever had. Three huge patties loaded with shrimp and vegetables, side of white rice and brown sauce for the entree. The waitress was great, she made sure I had refills and was very attentive. She even through in a bowl of egg drop soup. All in all, I enjoyed this meal read more
