A group of us went for an end-of-the-semester celebration. Breakfast was to be had, of course. The first issue I had was someone comparing this place to a diner in Jersey. That's a bold statement to make ... but this place did not disappoint. The decor was not very diner'ish, but the food was on par with what you would get a diner. I got my standard scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. PERFECT. Others at my table got chocolate chip pancakes (a huge hit), a Belgian waffle (another successful choice) and an omelette. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I definitely recommend this place when in the area. I hear the dinners at Gramm's are awesome and a great deal, so I plan on checkin that out sometime soon. read more

One of West Chester's hidden gems! My wife found out about Gramm's Kitchen through a Yelp search while looking for dinner in the area. The reviews seemed positive so we decided to try it. The restaurant is located in a strip mall off Gay street, hidden in the back from all the restaurants in the area. The menu is just like any other dinner, offering the typical dishes such as Gyro's, sandwiches, etc. We ordered the beef barley soup each, meatloaf, and the roasted chicken. OMG! What a pleasant surprise!! The soup was absolutely amazing!! The roasted chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and the right amount of seasoning. Not to mention the prices are very reasonable. We were so pleased with our meals that not only are we repeat customers, Gramm's Kitchen is our go to spot for soups. Their soups are absolutely delicious! Our favorite is the beef barely. FYI every Tuesday is beef barely day (you can order to go by the qt). If you are looking for a great meal at a reasonable price this is your place! Definitely give Gramm's Kitchen a try. I don't eat here often, but when I do it doesn't disappoint! Their french toast is very thick and delicious. Seriously, only get max two or you'll have to be rolled out of the restaurant. It is possibly the best french toast I've ever had. I have only had breakfast there, but they seem to have a very affordable lunch menu. I believe my french toast and ham breakfast costed less than $8 and I was stuffed. I did have their home fries which were just okay, but I expect way too much from fried potatoes. There was little taste to the Creamed chipped beef, a heavy dose of flour, same with the home fries. If you need to fill your stomach it'll do. Got 2 pieces of carrot cake to; had it for desert tonight but it was not the same, not as delicious as usual, called back and found out they switched vendors. This place is on-point. We were hungry, it was early, and we didn't want to spend a lot. I stumbled upon Gramm's the weekend before, not even realizing it was 1 block from our house previously, and I knew I wanted to try it out. It reminds me of this awesome, locals spot in Reading (where I'm from originally) that I used to go to for cheap dinners with my grandmother when I was a kid. This place is close to where I live, so I was hoping to end my quest for a great breakfast place. Unfortunately, this place was only so-so. The atmosphere wasn't very nice at all. The food was only OK. I had eggs and homefries - the homefries weren't crispy enough. My boyfriend's pancakes were burned, so he won't go back. For a place that touts itself as "Best Breakfast in Chester County," I am NOT convinced. I still haven't found that great breakfast place...Gramm's is definitely not it. read more

I'm only giving it 3 stars because my daughter loved the Ravioli from the kids meal and the soup of the day (chicken potato corn chowder) was pretty good, slightly salty for me but alright and my kids chowed it down. Definitely my go-to restaurant! Large menu offers a wide variety of selections...anything from breakfast to an Italian dinner and even seafood platters! They also have some really good specials. Staff is great- all VERY sweet girls. And when it comes time for desert, there are a copious amount of options. Cakes, pies, ice cream, puddings like rice pudding or tapioca, and also pastries that they have displayed on the counter. I could eat here multiple times a week. read more

I work in West Chester so I wanted to find a breakfast place where I could order out. I found Gramms Kitchen and though the prices were a little high $6.50 for a ham, egg and cheese on an english muffin, it was really the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. They also gave delicious homefries with that cost. You get what you pay for and it was really good. Ordering was quick and easy and they had my food ready quickly. I will go here again in the future. Just came from the worst service of my life. I've been here before for breakfast and it was not very great. Eggs tasted like I was eating chemicals. The waitress was very sweet about it and didn't charge me for it. I decided to give it another chance and grab a sandwich on my lunch break. I was sat and waited 20 minutes before a waitress even came over to greet me. She was nice, so I didn't mind. Took my order and I received my food in decent time. My meal turned out great, but it didn't make up for the poor service. No check back what so ever. I didn't see my waitress for another 20 minutes after I finished my meal. I refuse to not tip my server, being a server myself, but I was very close. The restaurant was not busy so I don't get how it was impossible to receive even the most basic service. I can't imagine what its like when they are busy. I don't plan on returning and will find a location that doesn't ignore their customers. read more

I live about 5 minutes from this restaurant so I like to order here often on the weekends for breakfast. Every time I place a to go order and come to pick up my food there are other customers who are helped before me that have come to the counter after me. For example today 7/14/19 I placed a to go order then came to pick it up about 20 minutes later. When I arrived at the restaurant there was one customer being checked out standing at the counter. She was finished and the worker never said hello to me nor did he ask if I needed help. He started to walk away and I said excuse me I'm here for a to go order. He looks says ok and proceeds to walk away. A patron in the restaurant gets finished eating and comes to the counter about the same time a couple and their children came into the establishment. They were both helped, seated and checked out and still no one is helping me. Finally a gentleman comes up and says can I help you and I say yes but first explain my frustration about every time I come there for a to go order. He apologizes and proceeds to find the worker who handles the to go ordering. The guy who took my order over the phone 20 minutes prior to me getting to the restaurant proceeds towards the kitchen and is stopped by a female worker who asks him about the to go order. He replies yes I know I forgot to take the order back. Meaning he forgot to give my order to the cooks to cook my food. I over hear this from the front of the restaurant and inquire to confirm what I was hearing is what he meant and then respond, you know what I don't want it I called 20 minutes ago and placed that order, while every patron in the restaurant is staring at me because I had to say that from the front of the restaurant to the back of the restaurant because of poor customer service. I liked their food but I think their customer service for customers who order to go is TERRIBLE and I will now be making a 15 minute ride to Downingtown for my breakfast cause I will not support a business who does not pride themselves in customer service to all their patrons. read more

Not only best breakfast in town, but a great value. Lunch is great too. Everyone is friendly, polite and courteous. Service can't be beat as all the 20 something servers are well trained and professional and you can get anything that you want anytime. I've been eating at Gramm's for 10 years 3 times a week and have always had a great experience and enjoyed the food. One of the two brothers (owners of Gramm's) is always there making sure that everything is running smoothly. I noticed that a May 11, 2015 review of this restaurant was weird as nothing about their experience was recognizable, especially the BYOB sign on the window. My friends who own Gramm's do not allow alcohol in the restaurant.....ever. Guys, you must have been someplace else. read more
