This place would have been better if the had more than 2 waitresses. Food took forever to come out. This place is more like a hangover spot the next morning for college kids. Be warned do not bring your children here. It was a nice day and the outside patio was closed because they didn't have enough staff to serve people. Food was very blah and I'm being nice about that.

Invited my family out to Grain H20 for a brunch on a Saturday which seemed to be a calm before the storm as there wasn't many people there yet but maybe the heat kept people at home. Regardless enjoyed some brunch food with a scrapple sandwich, crab cake skillet, scrapple fries and beef skillet with home fries and eggs. We also had some drinks which is what is pictured with the Grain Blood Mary which some delicious jerky, stuff olive and some intense old bay seasoning. The tomato juice with mixed in alcohol was a great blend for the meal. I'd like to return back to Grain H20 to see how the place comes alive with weekly events and music. The food was good, service was excellent, and I'm going to be checking this place out for some happy hour and more adult evening than brunch!

Great spot for lunch with me and my friends! We sat outside and enjoyed the steak salad and wraps.

the atmosphere with live music is great! But the food is only okay- not something I'd go there for personally.

The best!!Did beautiful job decorating and the food was so delicious ! Our workplace is in Dover and we usually do country clubs there or Dover Downs - but this topped them for sure ! Everyone loved the food - especially crab cakes . Craig and Kevin did great job as usual bartending and started us off with mini espresso martinis upon arrival . Dj Bug was also the best . Will always host parties there from now on !! Beautiful golf club view too Thanks Back Creek !!

We ordered the crab dip. It wasn't what I expected, but despite other reviews, it was loaded with crab. I'd give it a 2/5. We didn't eat half of it. I ordered a burger, and it came out burnt. Like, inedible, and the bacon was limp. Although there was a good amount of it. Nevertheless, I sent it all back. Fries were not freshly cut, likely frozen, and barely salted. Hubs ordered the steak and said that it was flavorless. He said it tasted like it was boiled, no salt, no pepper, nothing. I tasted his sweet potato mash and that tasted like baby food. Anyway, the manager comes out and apologizes for my meal and offers to comp me something. I say no thank you, but he insists. So, I asked for a dessert. Now, both him and the server come back to the table to let us know that the dessert order is in. We wait about 15-20 minutes. The server brings by the bill and my husband pays. Not a minute after the card is swiped, the manager comes over to say that he was just told that there is no more dessert. Interesting.

I'm trying to block this entire experience out of my mind…read more We'd called ahead to make a reservation since we had a group of 9 and asked for seating not near the band. Well, there is no seating where the music is not loud so they shouldn't even be offering it. I've never been in a restaurant where the live music is almost deafening. It was out of control. I don't know how anyone was able to sit inside and have a conversation because you had to yell at the person beside you. Once we were able to get a table (outside in the cold since the music was so loud) and a waiter finally came we ordered food. Skipping ahead...I ordered the nachos. If you like cold queso out of a jar then this is the dish for you! No exaggeration, the queso was completely cold like it had been spooned out of the jar from the shelf. Unreal. Add to this, the dock that backs up to the restaurant kept catching fire. I kid you not. There was some loose pipe or cable that caught fire at least twice while there. Stay away from this place!

But she failed to notice that six of us received their entrées while my wife didn't get hers. My wife had to flag her down after a few minutes and ask. Clearly either she forgot to put it in or the kitchen forgot to make it, because the rest of us were half done by the time my wife's food arrived. Food was mixed. My crab bisque had good flavor, but only a few shreds of crab meat. My wife's Jazzy Jeff soup also had very little crab in it. The crab cake was advertised as having lump crabmeat. It didn't. The fries were good, but the Parmesan cheese mentioned on the menu seemed to be MIA. When our server brought boxes for leftovers she also dropped the check, even though we haven't asked for it. Either they don't have dessert or we were never offered it. We enjoyed the setting and loved spending time with our friends on a lovely end of summer day. But we won't rush back.

Such a mixed review & experience. We made reservations for Sunday brunch and glad we did as the…read moreplace got crowded quickly. On one hand I want to try again for dinner but for the price, I'm not sure it's worth it. Pros: Amazing service - very attentive server(s); we had one in training/shadowing and she was just as good as our primary server, offering refills, clearing plates, overall greet banter Cocktails are fantastic - had the Minnie Ripperton and loved it - creamy yet refreshing and bright which is a tough combo to achieve Cons: Hidden entrance - after circling what looked like an abandoned building 2x we finally figured out the entrance was in the backy and down a set of stairs. I now understand the "speakeasy vibe" but the clutter in the front made the building look abandoned or under construction; not a great start to the experience for us Food service - the other couple we were dining with got their entrees about 10 minutes before ours and we were some of the first orders & diners of the day. Usually you might hold the whole table or refire some of the dishes so it all comes out at the same time. They finished theirs before we even got our to start, making it a strange eating experience Small print menu - with the low light of the speakeasy, the menu had the teeeeniest print I've ever seen making it very difficult to read the menu options. We also didn't realize that the menu changes/is seasonal (not called out on the website) so many of the items we had wanted to try were not an available option. I love a menu that changes but hope it's indicated on the website (aka: sample menu, subject to seasonal change) Hit-n-miss: Fried chicken Benedict- huge portions, amazing biscuits and perfectly poached (but unseasoned?) eggs. I don't know if the hollandaise soaked into the fried chicken or never existed at all - and that's the thing you want with a Benedict. If it existed, it never reached the biscuits because while they were good, but were completely dry Shrimp and grits - perfectly cooked, great consistency, but very under-seasoned Water - just an observation and maybe it's just the local tap water flavor but it tasted off or as off the soap hadn't been washed from the glasses Pro Tip: be aware of the automatic gratuity in some circumstances; if you don't know, check the website before your meal!

It's dark in here, like old people with the phone flashlight dark but I didn't mind honestly. The only thing that threw me off was this bathtub drink... I'm glad, because with it being slightly off the 'main drag' in Middletown, we might not have seen it otherwise. We arrived towards the end of the dinner rush hour, and fortunately were seated over by where a musician was playing. It was a busy night, and we were tired and hungry from a day at the faire. As it was busy, there were sportsball games going and the musician playing, shouting was required for discussion and we had some funny misunderstandings YOUR GRAPE IS ON THE MOON? WHAT? Oh, your gravy is a little cool! :) The musician was great, playing lots of 70s and 80s hits, and he seemed to enjoy us singing along and dancing. We are, after all, rennies. We're glad he was enjoying us as much as we were enjoying his music. We got drinks and menus quickly, and our server was attentive without being pushy. After a few minutes looking over the menu, she appeared and we ordered. I got the Stampede Burger, while one of my friends got the Prime Dip sandwich (AKA French Dip), and one got chicken fingers. All came in reasonable time and were quite good, hearty food. So, why the one star off? Dessert. Could we have a brownie sundae? Out of brownies. OK, how about chocolate cake? Out of that, too. Uh...red velvet? Out. Basically everything chocolate. Sigh. Yeah, it was busy but not insane. We ended up not getting dessert, and it was disappointing. Whoever's managing food orders and prep, please do better. Also, if it's not available, it would have been great for the server to say so up front, that way she didn't have to tell us no 3 times. Parking in a private lot, plentiful. We would go again, we just will plan on dessert elsewhere.

I can honestly say, I have nothing negative to say. Drinks,…read moregreat. Appetizer, amazing Entree, even better Service, amazing. We had the most wonderful waitress. We will be back.
