I had to leave and withdraw cash from the bank (or pay the $3 surcharge plus whatever my bank would have charged to use their ATM). Paying $5 or $6 dollars to get cash to pay for my $12 meal is unreasonable. The gal at the register assured me there were signs all over indicating they don't accept cards but unfortunately I never saw one. (And did not read Yelp reviews before coming.) This is the quintessential example of a small town treasure. Locals belly up to the bar and talk about weather, family and politics. The theme is patriotic, the food amazing and the waitress was just as charming as they come. I had the patty melt with home fires, don't miss these home fries, and my husband had a burger with curly fries. The restaurant has a small hometown feel but is much larger than I was expecting. You pay at the front. Service - A+. We were immediately seated and had great service the entire meal. Service was quick and friendly. Food - B-. I had the Sunriser. 'Little brother to the High Noon, includes hash browns, potato planks, diced onions and covered with melted cheddar cheese, topped with 2 eggs and toast." The meal was of a nice size but there wasn't much flavor. However, I am from Orlando, where the restaurants are plentiful so please keep that in mind when reading my review.
