The waitress brought A1 sauce to the table and we never cracked it open. The steak was juicy and very tender. We both had the baked potatoes and green beans (which were also amazing)! And no this isn't a paid advertisement. We also took home some desserts to try out (coconut cream pie and pecan bread pudding). We arrived at 5pm and there was only 3 tables taken. By 5:30, the place was packed. By 6pm, standing to wait. This will definitely be on our date night list.

The brisket was delicious and tender, and the hamburger was very flavorful. Add a slathering of BBQ sauce, and you know this is worth a second trip to SE Kansas. I enjoyed the classic potato salad, but I do like how my husband makes it with a little Worcesterchire Sauce to kick it up a notch. We talked with the owner, Mark Davidson, and his wife.
