Turkey club sandwich with a side of mushrooms

Stopped in for lunch while coming to town to visit another business. Place was very busy and clearly popular with the locals. Food was good, service was good, place was clean. I have a bad back so I didn't love the metal chairs. But they were doable for the short time. I had the turkey club sandwich with a side of fried mushrooms. My husband had the open faced roast beef sandwich. I snagged a bite of his meal and the potatoes were really good. We ate all of our food. I would love to try more things. We did bring home one of the large cinnamon rolls. It was good also.

We stopped for breakfast at Dutch Country Cafe in Garnett, KS, on our way to visit my wife's parents. The restaurant lives up to everything you would expect from a great, small-town, diner. In addition to great food, fair prices, and friendly service, it's spacious with plenty of seating (both dining room and counter service), a separate coffee shop area, and a pastry case. I ordered the Haystack, which delivered a breakfast combo of scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, and hashbrowns in a pile of goodness. The portions are large, leaving you full and satisfied. The entire bill for two people with breakfast and drinks was $20! Fair warning tip: Be careful visiting the pastry case if you have a weakness for the sweeter side (fruit turnovers, cinnamon rolls, sticky buns and more) dropped another $30 before getting out of there. ;) #noregrets

Cranberry pecan salad with grilled chicken

FANTASTIC FOOD. Great home cooked food, super cute restaurant with great atmosphere. Fried pickles are so good and the peanut butter chocolate pie is also very good. Would recommend!!! Waitresses are kind and friendly as well!

I travel to Garnett a few times each month for business, and try to stop in here each trip if I can. I think I made my first visit here the day after they opened. I don't know much about their lunch, but I've had many of their breakfast items, including their pecan pancakes, omelettes, French toast, country fried steak and eggs, and they have all been fantastic. This is not a fast food type of place, so there may be a little bit of wait for your meal, depending on what you order, but everything I have had has been worth the wait. They also do homemade pies, Which are really good. The coconut pie is fantastic, and I am very picky about my coconut pie! The chocolate pie is really good. Then there is the peanut butter cream pie...I generally don't even like peanut butter pie, but the peanut butter cream pie here may be one of the best things I've ever had. It's not a heavy, overly rich pie, but rather a light and fluffy cream pie with peanut butter crumbles on top of the crust, just below a nice layer of custard, and another layer of peanut butter crumbles on top of the whip cream. It's great! There is a coffee shop which is attached to the restaurant, in the same building. You can get a latte, espresso, drip coffee, etc. Staff is all very friendly. Since I travel to Garnett frequently, I'm certainly glad this place opened up!

Amazing service that paired perfectly with the outstanding food. 100% recommend, not many quaint and quality restaurants like this anymore.

Great food and great service. We just don't eat there a lot because of all the carbs in the food, but they DO have wonderful salads also!

Service was kind and patient as we picked out what we wanted - a butterscotch blondie bar for me, and a lemon curd hand pie for him. Both were so darn good! The blondie was absolutely to die for - delicious crust and toppings. I can't wait to try other items. Not only do they serve a variety of delicious baked goods, but their store also carries with other local products. I love the shop local mentality! The inside is nice and quiet, with seating available to enjoy your treat or visit with a friend. Definitely a must visit!

This place BLEW ME AWAY. I tried the lemon custard croissants, cherry danishes, and salted chocolate chip cookies. Everything was so buttery, flaky, salty, sweet!! The perfect mix. Their delicate laminated pastries are as good as anything I've ever tried and even as good as the little shop in Paris that has been the object of my affections since I visited many, many years ago. There's really no seating, it's a tiny space with some chair rails so don't go expecting a sit down experience. But do go expecting to taste the best pastries you've ever had! (Oh small side note, bathroom was pristine and so nice!) Apple Maps doesn't take you to the right location but google maps does.

Loved it didn't contain nuts since I was serving to guests and wasn't aware of any allergies. Was a little disappointed with the hot cross buns. They tasted amazing and were a hit, but the traditional cross on top wasn't present. Also was baked in a round container instead of the advertised and traditional rectangle. Staff was so nice from the ordering, payment and pick up. Pick up was at the sisters store Taylor's donuts which tempted me with the apple fritters and amazing smells.
