This one was for frozen loaves of braided pastries you bake at home. The vendor was Kansas Maid and they offer a pretty nice fundraiser for any group. Their flavors were very enticing. How about Cherry, Strawberry, Raspberry, Cinnamon, Italian, Cream Cheese, Cinnamon Roll, Apple Braid, and Caramel Sticky Bun? Awesome, eh? The dessert braids are packed with a cute little frosting dispenser for you to decorate the loaves to your specifications. To bake the loaves, you first have to let them thaw for about ten hours -they will rise and seem to triple in size. Then you pop them in your oven and you had better prepare yourself for the intoxicating aroma of baked sweetness that will start filling your house. I picked up an Apple Braid and a Cinnamon Roll Braid for $13 each and cooked up the apple one for Thanksgiving. It was stellar- a huge loaf that was as flaky and delicate as a croissant, with a lot of wonderful apple pie-like filling For $13 a pop they were worth every GD penny !!

So it's cheap and its clean and easy to use and it's right off the ring road of Emporia heading to the highway.

The woman working at Luther's was super friendly, and in addition to selling jerky, Luther's has a small convenience store and also a grill serving a limited menu of some BBQ and burgers. The place was clean and doesn't look like its changed much in a long time. Very old school vibes. I got a double cheeseburger which was cooked to order by the one person working that afternoon. The flattop was right behind the cash register. The burger came out quickly, and was super delicious. It had good flavor. I couldn't leave without some jerky. I got a couple of different kinds and some beef sticks. The hot jerky has been my favorite by far. Overall, a fun time at Luther's. I'd recommend it for anyone in the area looking for a good burger or some delicious jerky. I'll be back for sure!
