The first service call was…read moreperformed a week or two ago, but I was consulted about replacing a part that still worked, which I chose not to, although the units parts were still under warranty. He could have replaced them for the service charge but didn't and what do I know about air conditioner parts? Then, shortly, this is in June, the early days of summer. another AC failure on a Saturday night. Calling in a service request was met with a full mail box. I called first thing Monday morning and wasn't able to talk to somebody for 30 minutes for the service call which didn't arrive until late in the afternoon, where it was pronounced the part another part had failed, and that he would get the previously injured part to replace that too. The part he did replace cost $192, for a unit guaranteed for 10 years (still under warranty). By the way, you don't get to see the invoice until you pay it. He returned Tuesday and replaced the previously injured part, charged $160 for the service call, the system blew cold over night and failed the next morning. He came back the next day and replaced the dryer, and charged me $569.00 (not itemized although a dryer was replaced) for almost a couple of hours work, tops. Well comes the following Saturday night, and it failed again. The same tech did all this. He is rude, his pants hang down below his ass, he was speaking to some woman on cell in speaker mode almost the whole time he was working, and to justify the price he said to the effect that I live in a nice house and he lives in a shack; is that like white privilege or something. I don't know. I guess that Bart has retired and is no longer involved with the company or the market allows for bad service and he just does not care. I requested a working AC on the system I purchase 7 years ago whose compressor was already replaced once and I pay a semi annual fee to be maintained. The quality was trash, and there was no value in being inconvenienced, and the astonishing claim from that technician that he as performed a valuable service for the value of the money I paid. I pay for protection, but the providers are incompetent.

We were with several other AC companies...ALL OF WHOM over-sold us on products we didn't need…read more(because they worked on commissions!)...and their products were not even installed properly. This company does NOT have their employees working on a commission basis...and they are extremely honest as well as very knowledgeable. You can even select fro the same person to service you as needed. Do not look anywhere else.

With great patience and at very reasonable cost, they helped us repair and service a previous system (installed by a different provider incorrectly), and Northside also installed for us a new system when we ultimately threw in the towel on the other provider's botched job. Since then we have enjoyed the peace of mind of their annual preventive maintenance. Overall, we have been extremely happy as customers of Northside and always feel we are in very good hands. He gave me a business card and I then called the next day to arrange for an appointment. I was very accommodating to their schedule and was given a date of May 14, between 1-5pm. I adjusted my schedule and made sure I was home. At 3pm....I received a call that an emergency came up and no one is going to show. I was displeased that I had to adjust my schedule, but I understood....it happens. I thought maybe they would make good and I would be the first person the next day....fat chance. I was given May 27, between 830am-noon and that I would first up. Again, I adjusted my schedule and made sure I was home.....however, at 10am, another phone call to me stating another emergency had come up and they won't be able to make it.....wanting to reschedule again. Of course, I was upset and without using foul language questioned their customer service and reliability. I was put on hold for a few seconds, then an male subject responded, asked my name, told me to have a good day and hung up. That being said, they may do good work or not, as Hudson Air has poor customer service and reliability issues. Buyer beware.

The crew arrived first thing the next morning and the job was completed by 3pm. The City of Clearwater code inspector approved their work the next week. Overall, I had a great experience with the entire staff from the receptionist, crew and owner. Everyone was patient and polite. I can definitely recommend Comfort Air. I had a very disappointing experience with 3HAC. I originally scheduled an AC maintenance…read moreappointment, but on the day of service, after waiting 4.5 hours with no communication at all, I finally received a call saying the technician would not arrive until another 2.5 hours after my scheduled time window. I was understanding about the situation and agreed to reschedule for the following week after being promised I would be the first appointment of the day to make up for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, the rescheduled appointment was just as frustrating. With only 15 minutes left in my 8 AM-1 PM appointment window, I still had not heard from anyone and had to contact the company myself. Instead of accountability, I was given excuse after excuse about why the technician did not arrive first as promised. I was even told their internet was down, which was supposedly why nobody contacted me. The lack of communication and reliability from this company is unacceptable. Customers should not have to chase down a business for updates on scheduled services. The only positive part of my experience was the technician himself--he was professional and did a great job. If he freelanced, I would absolutely hire him directly in the future. Unfortunately, because of the poor customer service and repeated scheduling issues, I will not be using 3HAC again.
