I love their rings more than anything really, super rare and great prices. I just brought a "Biwa" pearl silver ring for just $165. I always find the ladies working here very helpful considering I could be a handful, since I never want to actually leave. The name of the store was given to me by a friend who knows a good deal about gems and jewelry design. From the moment I came into the store the experience was great. I was able to choose several designs that I liked and then the salesperson was able to narrow the choices down by learning about who I was getting the gift for, the occasion, her eye color, birthstone, the style of clothing she tends to wear and the type of events we attend. The gift became more personal, detailed and meaningful - she loved it. As a man, I couldn't have asked for a better experience and better results. I have returned several times since and the experience has been consistent.

I had to share my experience because I truly wish I had come here from the very beginning…read more Jangmi was actually the first place I went to when I started ring shopping. I wanted to see a variety of designs, shapes, and settings--and they had so many beautiful options to try on. The experience was warm, helpful, and not overwhelming at all. However, I ended up going with another jeweler a few stores down because my boyfriend had a connection there. The moment I received my ring, I immediately regretted not choosing Jangmi. The ring I got was nothing close to what I had asked for. The prongs were bent, and I had specifically requested a higher setting so that a wedding band could sit flush--but none of my bands (even very thin ones) sat properly. I brought it back and asked for multiple fixes. To his credit, he did make adjustments for free, but when I received the ring the second time, it still didn't match my vision at all. What I wanted was simple and classic: a 6-prong setting with tall, straight prongs (similar to the Tiffany style) and small claw tips. Instead, the ring was still not high enough, and the prongs were extremely thick--both from the top and side view--which completely took away from the beauty of the diamond. At that point, I was honestly so frustrated and ready to give up. But I remembered how positive my initial experience at Jangmi was, so I decided to reach out and ask if they could reset my ring. Even though the previous jeweler was willing to keep making changes for free, I didn't feel comfortable going back. I would much rather pay for something done right. And I am SO glad I did. Jangmi had the exact design I had been envisioning all along. Mrs. Kim was incredibly patient, attentive, and knowledgeable. She had a wax model made for me to try on before finalizing the ring, which made such a huge difference. Seeing and wearing the design in person gave me so much confidence--honestly, I preferred this so much more than just looking at CAD images, which can be hard to interpret if you're not in the industry. Within just two weeks, my ring was exactly what I had dreamed of from the start. The craftsmanship, the proportions, the setting--everything was perfect. My biggest regret is not coming to Jangmi Jewelry from the beginning. But one thing I can promise is that I will absolutely be coming back here for my wedding bands. If you're even thinking about going here--just do it. You won't regret it!

Image my distress then, when one evening I came home and discovered I'd lost one. I was heartbroken. I filed a claim with my renter's insurance and the adjuster suggested I contact a jeweler to see if they could custom make a match to the remaining earring. I went to the American Gem Society website and saw Roman Malakov Diamonds listed -- their website was full of jewelry that was far more expensive than my earrings. I called them, explained my situation, and asked whether they could give me an estimate to provide my insurance company. The woman I spoke with was so nice and put me at ease. A few days later I took my remaining earring to the store, where I met with Michael. He examined it and took measurements, and a few days later provided me with a quote for a custom match, which I sent to the insurance company. The adjuster called me a few days later to say that the price quoted was actually slightly less than a comparable pair he'd found on Macy*s website, so my claim was approved in full! The adjuster mentioned that he'd called Michael with additional questions about the diamonds and he was impressed with how quickly Michael responded. I took my earring back to Michael so that the custom match could be made. He was very patient with all my questions and explained that the new earring would be very, very close but not exactly the same - which I understood. I had to leave my earring with him so they could make the match. It took about seven weeks, but it was worth the wait. When Michael told me it was ready, I tried to keep my expectations low -- like they would probably be "close enough," but not perfect - so I wouldn't be disappointed. When he brought them out I couldn't have been happier. I looked at them both and correctly guessed which earring was the original (based on a few differences that are mostly only visible when looking at the back of hoop). But when looking at them in my ears, I think they look essentially identical. He told me he chose the diamonds himself to match them (the 4 Cs) as closely as possible to the original. He also polished, steam cleaned, and tightened the hinge on the original earring. Even though my earrings cost a fraction of the jewelry they sell there, I was never made to feel like it was beneath them to work on my earring. I'm so pleased with how the custom earring turned out that I'm having them make a pair of earrings for me using gems from a couple of rings I have that I no longer wear. I definitely recommend them if you need a custom piece of jewelry.

He wouldn't begin making the ring until I insured it, which showed he truly cared about my satisfaction and his own liability (the mark of a responsible business) and he provided reliable estimates of the time it would take when I would call. I then returned 6 months later to purchase our wedding bands. Once again, he recommended a really beautiful band with tiny diamonds around it to make the emerald ring pop, and set me up with a standard gold band, without upselling us at all. Once again, the customer service was excellent. I found Jimmy to be professional yet personable, and fair and firm in his dealings, which helped me really trust him within an often shady industry.
