Jaylin- Rocking it for 3 years.
    Barry H.

Decided to drop in to check out the Westerville Graeter's . I was greeted by Jaylin, he's been working there for around 3 years. I ordered the Love Boat Sundae with Black Raspberry chip and Black Cherry chip. Both had great flavor and huge chunks of chocolate mixed in. The only thing wrong was the little candy hearts were harder than a rock. Time for a fresh batch, otherwise a great experience.

Quaint location In Westerville. I had a Salted Carmel Milkshake and my daughter a scoop of Birthday Cake with rainbow sprinkles. The line moved quickly. Excellent service.

We just went to mass and it was national ice cream day so we made the short drive down main street to Graeter's. We found parking on the street and immediately walked in and really didn't see a line for national ice cream day which surprised us as last year we went to the Graeter's on Bethel and line was out the door. Things moved very quickly as there were a number of employees working and asking if anyone would like a sample of flavor. I ordered my usual at Graeter's a scoop of Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip. I think this Graeter's uses different scoops then the other ones or maybe the girl just had a hard time with the scoop as normally the scoop is very large and homogeneous. As you can see from my photo she scooped three smaller ones instead of one large one. My girlfriend ordered a scoop and enjoyed hers.

You can't go wrong with Graeter's! Located in adorable downtown Westerville, there's plenty to of places to shop or eat before you stop at Graeter's for dessert. They put a twist on many classic ice cream flavors, my personal go to is the black raspberry chocolate chip! Their chocolate is the best! They put giant chunks of chocolate into their ice cream and you can even buy bars of it in the store. Their cones are delicious and their scoops are huge! As the weather finally warms up, definitely expect to stand in line for a while, but it's worth it!

Always a fantastic experience! Line is usually out the door, but goes quick! It's so nice to grab a scoop and walk the strip of uptown Westerville. Graeter's never disappoints and the staff is so friendly! I got the Raspberry Sorbet and it was fantastic! We opted to go here after dinner at Barrel & Boar which is right across the street. The location of this place is pretty central and within a few blocks of all the restaurants. Makes for a nice stroll on summer and fall days!

Even babies love Graeters Peach summer flavor!

You can even get Buckeyes packed in an Ohio State Themed Buckeye box. On my first visit, I bought the 16oz. Milk Melt-A-Way Mints and we took it to a family's house. Once we got to the dessert (the mints) there was silence. Everyone was in Nirvana. I secretly sobbed inside when we left the remaining mints behind. It was then I realized I should have just brought half of the box, but I digress. On this current visit, I chose to make my own half pound box from the counter case. Who am I kidding, it wasn't like I just jumped over the counter....but Mackenzie (the manager) was very helpful. Basically, you get 16 pieces, which does not include truffles, so I said, "Just give me two of each flavor from the milk chocolate creams and two from one of the dark chocolate creams." There are 7 flavors, and it seems you cannot find them on the website. So I guess if you want to custom build your box you have to do it in the store. But don't worry, there is so much to chose from on their website! I will definitely be back and try their Buckeyes. And get some more melt-a-way mints.

The person that answered said that they were currently allowing people to come in but if I preferred curbside pick up that they would be happy to assist. I placed my order, paid ahead of time so I could just pick up the order and drove over to get my items. Upon entering the store I noticed that the floor was clearly marked with tape showing one way through the store. I followed the arrows until I reached an associate. My order was marked with my name and ready for pick up. I grabbed my items and headed back out, following the arrows to the exit. The candy that I picked up was perfect, made locally and went perfectly with a gift. The person that received the gift said the candy was excellent and loved it. I appreciated the courtesy staff that took my order as well as handed me my order when I arrived. I appreciated the safety ,ensures that they put in place for me and the other customers.

They had plenty of standard items, plus a bunch of things for Easter. Bunnies, crosses, etc., in various shapes, sizes, milk/dark chocolate, etc. I had to get a bunny for Baby K, of course, and she liked it. No sugar free, so nothing for my mom (though dark chocolate would be better for diabetics.) They had just made peanut butter eggs, so one of those for Sweetie. And then I had to keep myself from getting one of everything for me. Ended up with eagles (turtles,) toffee, and bacon brittle. The eagles are excellent: rich chocolate, good caramel and nuts, one is enough but you will want more. The toffee is good, pretty hard so none for Baby K or anyone with bad teeth, wrapped in rich dark chocolate. Haven't tried the brittle yet, but come on, bacon, you know I had to get some. Yeah, yeah, there are peanuts in there, too. I bought too much, and yet am afraid I will run out too quickly. Prices are a little high but you get what you pay for- this is good stuff. Glad to see local businesses making it through this. Glad this place is here. I'll be back. Note: the sign says Eagle Family Candy, not John Eagle, and it's a tiny place so use GPS and be careful. Oh, and speaking of careful, good safety procedures here, with hand sanitizer on the counter and minimal contact. But, it is small, so it would get crowded easily. Only open 11-4 currently.

The guy working must need a vacation because he seemed like he was at the end of his rope. Reprimanding parents and kids left and right. If I had I would have said something to him. The guy working DID notice and shouted "Hey! I saw that! You know that's STEALING?!!!" All he had to do was tell me and I would have corrected my son immediately. There were some pens at the counter that had a sign on it saying "These are not toys! These are pens!" My other son picked one up to look at it. The guy at the counter pointed to the sign and snapped "Read the sign.. read the sign... read the sign." Pretty ridiculous. All of this within a span of about 10-15 minutes in the store. Probably won't be heading back to the place until someone with a reasonable temperament is working behind the counter.
