It wasn't bad but quality and not creamy texture of an overly expensive ice cream scoop ($7 for one small scoop in a cup, no cones no extra toppings, etc) does not justify the cost, especially in comparison to other similar establishments and local market... I thought it was a bit overpriced. I tipped in cash and did not even hear a thank you when paying or at check out. Not that they need to in this environment and not to sound old fashioned but come on.... some basic courtesy. Place wasn't busy at all so it wasn't a rush. Very disappointing experience from start to finish. My boyfriend purchased a caramel apple for me, and the employee was extremely rude. On top of that, the apple was barely sliced, which made it difficult to eat. I called the store afterward to address the issue, and that's when it became clear this location has no real customer service standards. The person who answered the phone refused to give a manager's name, claimed there is no manager, and would not provide her own name either. I asked if there was anyone I could speak to or any way to escalate the complaint, and she told me "no." When I tried to explain the situation calmly, she dismissed my concerns and hung up on me. That's not just rude--that's a complete lack of accountability. If there truly is no manager and no way to handle complaints, that's a serious problem for any business. I will be sharing photos of the product as well. I would strongly suggest improving both customer service and basic professionalism at this location. read more

Everytime we come to Kilwins it's a treat. Not just because it's a sweet shop, but because of the experience. We normally go with the ice cream scoops one for hubby and I to share and one single scoop for my daughter. Customer service here is great here and they treat their customer's with utmost respect. Always a fun time at Kilwins! Whenever we're in the area for dinner- we'll always make sure to stop by for some ice cream. The portion sizes are quite large, especially considering how thick the ice cream is. The workers here are always so kind and helpful. Normally, it's not very crowded so your order will be ready very quickly. During my last visit there were a few other groups of customers who had also placed their orders. Even though only three people were working, they got everyone's treat out in a timely manner- while still being polite and attentive. My favorite flavor is chocolate, and I recommend topping it off with some chocolate shavings. If you haven't already guessed, I love chocolate- lol! I also would encourage you to treat yourself to a marshmallow dipped in milk chocolate. This goes perfectly with their ice cream- particularly when you order it with sprinkles. If you're not a fan of chocolate, don't worry- they've got you covered! I would personally recommend the orange float. It's orange soda (think Fanta or Crush) with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream. If you've ever had an orange creamsicle, it's extremely similar. All in all, I would highly recommend trying Kilwin's out next time you're in Dublin. The establishment is clean, the employees are kind, and the sweets are delicious! read more

The place is clean and the samples are free. I got my favorite cake batter ice cream. But I got it from this location for the first time and the cake inside the ice cream was very dry. It was an odd texture going on. But the people working were very nice to me and my friends and they loved the ice cream they got. I'd come back, it's a nice stop to make in Bridge Park! read more

There's plenty of parking in the shared parking garage. I was able to have the turtle cheesecake, which was tasty and I highly recommend. Sad that I have to give them such a poor review as this has truly been one of our favorite places to go since we moved to Dublin a year ago. My fiance and I went practically every night the first few months here. The reason I am giving them such a poor review is 2 part. First, we ordered the same thing we always get, a waffle cone with 50/50 of 2 flavors each. The portion we got was ridiculous. It barely filled the cone, and one of the flavors was cookie dough and we only had 2 pieces of cookie dough it in. Second, the guy who took our order and scooped our icecream had the worst attitude and was extremely unpleasant. I asked if he could put a little more icecream and he gave me a nasty look. For as much as we paid we felt like we really got taken advantage of. Guess we will need to take our business elsewhere. read more

I got some mint Oreo type cookie, a peanut butter cup, some type of specialized cookie, and a chocolate covered marshmallow with sprinkles on a stick. I just had the cookies and they were solid. They've got a ton of nut, caramel, fudge, candy apples, and ice creams I wasn't interested in but looked good for others. This place works for that area with an adjoining dining room if you'd like to eat your stuff there but nothing about this place was unique or like "oh my God I've got to go back." These types of places are a dime a dozen in the Greater Central Ohio area. Nevertheless if you're in the area and have a sweet tooth then check them out. read more

I was craving some ice cream and walked into the Dublin Kilwins. Two pleasant young ladies were working but I unfortunately asked the 'gentleman' that was there for my order. He seemed bothered by the fact I wanted something at all (mentioned it was a long day when I asked how he was. Mmk) Then he proceeded to make me feel like an idiot bc I didn't know the salted caramel I asked for came in chocolate and vanilla. Also I could barely find the ice cream in the sundae. It was mostly whipped cream. Here's a tip; if you don't like serving customers, perhaps you shouldn't be in customer service! Heck yeah, chocolate. Kilwins is the place to be for a chocolatehead. There is everything chocolate here: chocolate truffles, chocolate-covered graham crackers and pretzels, fudge (if you like that kind of stuff), buckeyes, chocolate marshmallows, chocolate peanut clusters ... all the chocolate things. We had a hard time picking our chocolate things because there were so many delicious choices. There are also caramel apples, marzipan fruits and chocolate gifts all packaged and ready to give as a present. They also have ice cream here, but we visited during the winter when we didn't want anything cold. But what we should have gotten -- and I didn't see it until we turned to leave -- was a cup of hot chocolate. A nice cup of cocoa would have hit the spot. This Kilwins is located in the Bridge Park area of Dublin, a couple of steps away from all kinds of restaurants and entertainment. This would be a good place to stop in after a meal for a sweet little something. And, it's also a stop on the Dublin Irish Fairy Door Trail. read more

What an incredible chocolate shop. This place reminds me of an old-fashioned candy store. At Kilwin's, you can buy chocolates, ice cream, handmade sweets and gift baskets. This place is not only beautifully decorated but you can also typically watch them while they are making the candies. As for parking, there is a huge parking garage just around the corner with free parking. I would gladly have given this place five stars if the sweets were priced a bit lower. This place is the absolute cutest! We stopped in for some ice cream after dinner and it is currently full of adorable bunny and egg decor galore. The ambiance of black and white paisley on black and white for the floor in the adjacent dining room also works well together giving a modern twist to the classic ice cream shop vibe. I had a cone of the peanut butter chocolate and also picked up some bunny tails for the road. Both were delicious! My friend had the muirfield mud which she loved, and there were tons of other amazing looking other options and treats. Will have to come back to try the salted dark chocolate covered Oreos. I was pleased to see Kilwins at Bridge Park. I like their chocolate! I'm a big caramel apple fan, and theirs are great. They use green apples, so they stay crisp and juicy under the caramel. They have plain, or as jazzed up as you'd like. I've enjoyed caramel peanut and pecan turtle. The staff will slice the apples for you, which I appreciate. I don't like just biting into a giant sticky apple. They even put the slices into a lidded container for transport and storage, which is good, because they are pretty darn big! My cousin loves their ice cream, but I usually don't make it past the apple display! read more

The inside of this shop is SO cute! They have various chocolate confections as well as ice cream. We came in to grab some buckeyes. I love that they have both milk and dark chocolate versions. They also have various truffles and other pieces. I tried a raspberry one that had a raspberry cream inside. It was pretty decent. The buckeyes were amazing. They taste more like a "homemade" version which is a testament to their craft. The candy apples looks incredible but we will have to return to try another time. Friendly service. I first stopped in Kilwins during a Yelp event. It is a magical world of delectable sweets inside! Holy smokes, this may be my new favorite place to go for a sweet snack. They offer chocolate covered apples, caramels, fudge, ice cream, and everything in between! We sampled the fudge, ice cream, and caramels...all of which are AMAZING! Stopped into Kilwins the other day while up at Bridge Park and it was the cutest little shop with the best smells! They make all of their own chocolates and offer a big selection of yummy treats. They have a bunch of ice creams to pick from which is why I went, and I ended up getting a seasonal flavor - the peppermint! It was good but honestly not my absolute favorite peppermint I've ever had. A relatively new spot I came across when I was getting dinner across the street, I'm glad I decided to stop in! The interior is adorable and literally everything they sell looks SO good. They have caramel apples, fudge, taffy, ice cream, chocolates, ice cream cakes, and so many other little treats. Customer service is very friendly and chatty! I'll have to come back to check this spot out again. I saw a friend of mine post an enticing photo on Instagram the other day. This prompted me to make a visit out here. When you first arrive. You are greeted by an awesome aroma of chocolaty goodness outside of the door. Once you go in it's like the saying "a kid in a candy store!" The caramel apples are the first things that you see. Next you are exposed to the array of chocolate treats. I got a cookies and cream milkshake, caramel apple and coconut clusters. I will say that the milkshake took quite a while due to them training a new employee. For whatever reason she was having a hard time scooping the ice cream out of the container. It took them 8 minutes to make the shake. Once I got it. It was pretty good. The ice cream they use is their Kilwin's brand ice cream. The coconut clusters were pretty great. It was my plan to save some for the next day but I ate them all in one sitting. read more
