It was hot and humid and the line was long, but these Midwest workers really know how to move things along. Whit's did not disappoint. Smooth and creamy custard and so many toppings it will make your head ache just to make a choice!

This location can be found in the middle of a small town Main Street (which according to their website is what they're about). There is parallel parking just outside the doors and along the side of the road. The custard is not overly expensive. We tried a mix of chocolate and vanilla and enjoyed both. My only wish was that they didn't crush the M&M's. They have a small number of tables and chairs inside along with two benches.

A Columbus staple for a reason, Whit's is certainly among the greats for Columbus frozen treats. I especially like the downtown Westerville locations for its charm. I opted for a small Whitster with Penguin Tracks custard (vanilla with fudge/brownie) with salted caramel and heath mix-ins, but you really can't go wrong at Whit's. Everything is great!

This was a great way to end dinner. We stopped in to have Whit's Frozen Custard! Such a cute little shop with a polite and busy staff. They mix and make their custards and unique blends of custard as well like the Apple Pie ,Red Velvet, Buckeye Madness, and more. You have many selections from waffle cones to sugar cones or bowls or their whister. This place is bright, well lit and they have seating both inside and out. There's even pints of frozen custard to take home. I picked up a Red Velvet!

I don't know why I never ventured into Whits before because it is amazing! This location is super clean and quick with great staff to help you choose which amazing flavor to get. Love that There is a big sidewalk area outside to enjoy your treat and it's close to parking at the corner.

Chocolate Frozen Custard. Made out of antique machines!!! Like turning back time. Wonderful.

    Two yogurts!

Great place to stop for a quick dessert. Whit's has the "take/weigh what you desire" model down. There are a selection of about a dozen frozen yogurts and 20-30 toppings ranging from fruits, candies; bobas and syrups. You pay for what you want in your cup. Toppings are pretty standard for these types of fast buffet yogurt places but the yogurt flavor was very good! Flavor of the month was watermelon but had an excellent taste to it, not overly "artificial watermelon" My daughter and I each grabbed a cup and made it out under $10, that's a win! :)

Great price on a really big cup of delicious custard. Every week they have a new flavor. You can check the website for the current flavor of the week or upcoming flavors. They will always let you sample the flavor of the week or their regular flavors which is chocolate and vanilla. There is a reward kiosk on the counter. Be sure to register and redeem your first reward. After a few visits you get a free cup as well as other offers sent via text. The custard is really delicious here and for the price you pay you get way more than the competition gives you.

Flavor of the week: salty caramel waffle cone pieces

Nice to have a location in Westerville & family fav. While I don't want to discourage you from a vine or 2 scoop, know they are generous scoops. I opted for the flavor of the week; had salted caramel, pretzels. Heaven! Kids were happy with vanilla. Already looking forward to the peppermint flavor at Christmas!

Two scoop buckeye custard with whipped cream and a cherry on top!

Buckeye Whittie. Very solid, good peanut butter cookies and good custard filling! 10/10 will buy again.

Love Whit's Gahanna. This one is just as good, but with a college-y atmosphere befitting the area. Whitsers are my favorite. Go there!

The prices here are way more reasonable than a DQ or a Baskin-Robbins. An order of two large-cone (large cones are 99¢, small cones 50¢. *prices subject to change(?)) single scoop ice cream's came up to approximately $10 and change. It is a nice place to bring kids. There are video games and an air hockey table. There are tables to sit at indoors to be able to relax and enjoy the ice-cream before it melts. It was over 90° out today, and there was no way the ice-cream would've made it to the car. The strawberries and cream I got was soo refreshing! My cohort with me got the caramel ice cream which had a caramel swirl. I tasted a bit of hers and it had a coconut-like base flavor to it that reminded me of a mild flavored egg nog and very much like kahlúa in the base. I am not a fan of caramel but I am very much a fan of kahlúa, therefore a fan of the caramel flavored icecream. The counter staffer states they make the icecream in-house. It would explain the partially melted look to the tops of some of the ice cream. Homemade ice-cream when I was a child always had the same melty texture. The staff member was so patient with us as it was our first time there and the menu along with the total amount of ice-cream flavors was a slight bit more intimidating than expected for our choices. The customers were able to order in English or Spanish which I thought was awesome seeing as my neighborhood can benefit from going here and not being intimidated by using a language that is uncomfortable for them. It was a lot of younger families and teens but it wasn't a rowdy atmosphere. I'm not into rowdy. If you are in the neighborhood, feeling like you want a walking taco, ice cream, sundae, funnel cakes, churro's, or just a cold bottled drink definitely stop in. Most definitely stop in before visiting DQ and save some cash. I highly enjoyed and recommend this spot as I will be back again soon.

Somehow had never reviewed them. In an industrial-park type strip mall, off Maxtown. Nice and open inside, super friendly and helpful staff, plenty of pies on display. Fruit pies, cream pies, and my goal for the day: pot pies. I'd never had theirs, and with cold weather they sounded good. I got a standard chicken (they also have white meat, and chicken with broccoli) and beef. Other options were beef/broccoli/mushroom, I think, and one or two more. They come in small, medium, and large. Small is about what you would get at a grocery. Of course I couldn't resist the sweet pies, but I only got one small one, a win for my health. Coconut cream, for Kid K; I ended up eating half of it, but she loved it too. Pot pies: I got mediums, about 2 servings worth. Very tasty. Sturdy but flaky crust, packed with meat and potatoes and veggies. All pies are in very sturdy boxes. I almost saved one to reuse around the house, they're that good. Definitely will be back. A bit out of my way, and I miss their other locations which were a little more handy for me, but these are worth the detour.
