don't usually write reviews, but I had such an upsetting experience today that I feel it's important to share. I came into this coffee shop hoping to enjoy a drink I've had before, but couldn't remember the exact name. Instead of being met with patience or helpfulness, I was met with unnecessary attitude and rudeness. The barista told me, "Well if you don't know, then I don't know," which made me feel like a burden for simply asking for help navigating their menu. The drink I received was nothing like what I've had before--burnt, bitter, barely any cold foam, and completely lacking flavor. It was also overpriced for the quality. When I politely tried to address the issue, what seemed to be the owner or a family member jumped in with more attitude, rather than trying to make it right. I was shocked by how unprofessional and dismissive the service was. When I brought it up, I was basically told 'you can go, I'll refund you What makes this even more disappointing is that I truly believe in supporting Latino-owned businesses and take pride in doing so--but that doesn't excuse poor customer service. Stopped by here randomly because I needed a pick me up and googled coffee shops on my way to do errands. Wanted to support small businesses instead of Starbucks as well. The place is super spacious and would be a great space for reading, studying, work, or even a little lunch or snack break or date. In addition to their drinks, they also have breakfast and snack sandwiches. I didn't get one this time, but would definitely be interested in trying it. I was the only person in there when I stopped by so service was quick and satisfactory. The staff were nice as they took my order and handed me my drink. I heard about this cafe in my city's facebook group and now I understand why I've read so many great things. The cafe is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. I was greeted right upon entering, the environment here is very welcoming and inviting. There is plenty of seating so it's a great space to study or have a coffee with friends. The mural is beautiful, great for photo ops. I asked for their most popular drink and was recommended their brown sugar latte. I ordered it iced, it was delicious.! I walked in yesterday and I have to say the customer service was horrible. I'm pretty sure it's latino family owned which is a shame because I cannot support this business. They are not friendly or welcoming and act like you being there is an inconvenience to them. The young lady at the front was very rude and condescending and it honestly makes me sad because I really wanted to support this business. When I walked in, I felt this weird energy and smiled at the workers and received glares back. Not only that the prices are insane for the quality of food and drinks. Please do yourself a favor and skip this coffee shop don't support businesses like these there's way better out there that you could be supporting !!! Came here with a friend on a Saturday around 10am and there was already a line that went slightly out the door, but was able to grab a table, thankfully! I ordered a matcha latte and a ham&cheese croissant. The matcha latte was pretty good, 6/10. They use Ujii matcha, not super sweet or bitter. Would have liked a bit more matcha flavor. The ham& cheese croissant was nothing extraordinary, your usual croissant. Overall, very nice place to talk and hangout at! And plenty of parking! Let's talk about the coffee. I ordered a Pistachio Iced Latte , and it was absolutely delicious. The espresso had a rich, nutty, flavor that was both satisfying and memorable. They also have a nice open eating area with lots of seating, making it a good place to do some work if that's what you're looking for. I was excited to come to this spot mainly because of the gratitude theme and was politely surprised that it is a faith-based cafe with beautiful music in the background. I was however disappointed with the lack of friendliness from the two people who work at the counter (my guess is it is the owners?). I think this place has potential to build community and be a staple in the community, however with the lack of friendliness, it does not have a very welcoming vibe. That being said, the music is great, the drink was amazing, love the coffee options. The vibe is cute, although I do wish there were more couches as the seating is not very comfy. I didn't get food but the pictures looked good. I stayed for a few hours getting some work done and would come back as it is a very work conducive space. But I recommend they hire more friendly staff or be more intentional with eye contact, smiling and getting to know their customers. It was a little too "transactional" especially for a new cafe that is trying to grow. read more
