I visited Grace Vineyards during the Lodi Wine and Chocolate Festival. This was our first and most favorite stop. Not only were the grounds beautiful but the wine was delicious (love their petit sirah) and everyone there was so kind and welcoming. Their vineyard is quiet and serene with a beautiful pool in the middle. There are areas to taste in the shade and sun as well. Everyone was very knowledgeable about the wine but also very pleasant to talk to in general. We can't wait to come back.

We just had our wedding at Grace Vineyards and it was perfect! We got a lot of compliments on the beautiful venue (which is great considering it was in the 90s on our wedding date)! We also received comments on how great their wine and food were. Alina helped us on the day of the wedding and she did an outstanding job helping us navigate through a confused DJ, last minute schedule changes, and a short bout of heat exhaustion. Overall, we and our closest family members thought it was beautiful and I'm so glad we got married here. Check it out if you're interested in an outdoor venue!

We stopped by this winery during the Wine & Chocolate Event, Feb. 13 & 14, 2016. The winery grounds are beautiful. It has a beautiful pool and it overlooks a golf course. The wine servers were very friendly and welcoming. The wines were good, but we didn't buy anything. Since we came for an event, they had food catered, and the food was awesome - mac & cheese and sausages. I'd recommend this winery!

Love!!! My husband and I attends the Wine and Dine events and got married here. Venue is beautiful and very accommodating for all ages. The wines and champagne is very good. Steve the owner and Fresh & Quick Catering crew are all amazing people. All of our guests including the kids all enjoyed our wedding!

I got married on April 13, 2012 at Grace Vineyards. I searched high and low for a venue that was reasonably priced and had the aesthetic that we wanted for our wedding photos, and thanks to Yelp, we found it! I was so happy to find this place! As soon as I saw the website, I called and met Candice over the phone. We set a date to come out and look at the venue and honestly, as soon as we drove up, I knew this was THE one. Our wedding day had crazy weather--rain, hail, rainbows, beautiful sunset. It really ran the gamut. It also made for beautiful pictures! We were able to take some photos as the sun was setting over on the golf course side and they are amazing! We didn't originally plan to have the reception closed in in the tent, but the weather was so back and forth that we agreed to have the sides put down. Surprisingly, there was plenty of room! No one felt cramped. There was room for everyone to get around the tables, get the food, and dance without tripping over anyone else. Our guests ALL raved about the food--they said it's the best food they've ever had at a wedding! That was part of the reason we chose Grace Vineyards, actually. We wanted our guests to enjoy the day as much as we did and from everything we heard, it sounded like we accomplished that! I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out for your wedding!!! I couldn't be happier!

So we're thinking if our first born is a girl...Grace or Alina...if it's a boy, Steve. We just got married at Grace on 6/24 and alina and steve went above and beyond to make our day perfect. We had a pretty complicated wedding as far as decorations and set up but they made it happen! And with enthusiasm! They were flexible and the day went off without a hitch! They even ordered up the most gorgeous sunset over the golf course. If you are considering hiring Alina as a coordinator....do it! Our day would not have happened without her. We got tons of compliments on the venue, the food (we did the gourmet buffet) and the wine. We just want to do it all again!

The happy couple

Valensin is a hidden gem with its beach-like environment and tasty wine. The taco truck on site was a nice feature also. Plenty of parking, a chill environment and great place to hang out with friends and meet people. I'm sure I'll become a regular with their many events like comedy night, R&B, freestyle, paddle boards, etc.

They even offer boating and paddleboarding, which adds a fun, active touch to the experience. Parking: Free with a decent number of spots for around 100 guests, but it could feel congested for larger events. There's only one way to in and out, so plan accordingly. Also, the road leading to the vineyard is quite dark at night: some areas have little to no lighting, so make sure your headlights are working well, especially since it's a bit of a drive from the main street. Drinks: Some of their popular options include: * Peach Mango Sparkling (11%, Lodi) * Zinfandel 2024 (15.6%, Lodi) * Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2019 (14%, Lodi) * Pomegranate Sparkling (11%, Lodi) They offer picnic snack trays, and for events, they bring in food trucks, which is a nice touch. Service: Friendly and efficient. One downside was staffing and restroom access. It seemed like they were a bit understaffed, and only 2 restrooms were open while others were locked. For an event with around 100 people, this led to long lines, especially in the cold. The event itself was held in a white outdoor tent by the lake, which created a great atmosphere. However, the path to the tent is all gravel with no defined walkway, something to keep in mind if you're wearing heels or thin sandals. Overall, it's a lovely venue with a unique setting, great for small weddings or intimate gatherings.

The standout for me was the red wine "Vapor Trail"--rich, smooth, and worth revisiting. I'd happily return to enjoy a full bottle with more time to unwind.

Shoutout to the West Sacramento/ Clarksburg area…read more... The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg is a historic beet sugar refinery from 1934-1993 that has wine shops and tasting rooms for local wineries. They have over a dozen wineries. Wine tastings average $15 and most wineries waive the fee if you buy a bottle. They have wine shops in the main building and in the other building. Don't forget to walk back and to the right to the shops in the separate back building, there is 3-4 more wineries. Each winery are literal walled shops with their own seating areas. Temperature controlled which is nice on hot summer days. Each have their own wine tasting, food offerings, and special events. Old Sugar Mill is less than 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento. The buildings are beautiful. They kept the historic brick walls and exterior. It has a modern shabby chic look. Three different brands owned the refinery. It all began in 1934 with Amalgamated, American Crystal Sugar Factory (1936-1982), and Delta Sugar (1983-1993). The sugar was refined by local Northern Californian grown beets. The buildings was renovated in 2000 for its current use. Awesome concept and beautiful architecture design. They also host weddings and events. They have a banquet room with slideshow equipment. There is also an outdoor lawn and adjoining paved patio area that is shaded in the afternoon by the buildings that would make for a gorgeous wedding venue. On hot summer days, the Delta breeze kicks in for instant cool down. No outside food are picnics are allowed. On the weekends, they have food trucks. Plus the majority of the wineries sell food (appetizers) as well. Also no pets are allowed (excluding service animals). The restrooms are located right by the front entrance.

Bathrooms- They have many stalls in the bathroom located to the left of the entrance. Temperature- It's cool inside, a little too cool for us today. It was 63 degrees out today and warm in the sun. I bet in the sweltering heat of our summers this is the perfect place to be. The Sugar Mill is an indoor venue. They have three different building with different wineries at this time. So, there is a little walking outside. Wine Barrels- You can buy half wine barrels for your garden for sale. Seating- They have lots of little seating areas. Inside they have a whole room with seating and nice decor. The tables are draped in white table cloths and there are stacks of wine barrels as the back drop. They have a palm court in the back and it's so quaint and beautiful. Perfect for sipping some wine slowly and chit chatting with friends. If you are looking to sit in the sun there is are a set of tables and chairs out back near the food truck. Ambiance- I love the location and building. It's an old Sugar Mill that produced sugar from sugar beets. That industry has now ended and it's now a place to visit many wineries. It's the only place that I know of that have numerous wineries and offer wine tasing for a minimum fee.
