Grace tailors has fixed many pieces of clothing for my brother who has a disability. She has done a great job making adjustments for his body type, and never said she couldn't do it. She also hems my husbands scrubs for work and they look great. She is very reasonably priced compared to other tailors we have tried in this area and Wash park area. I also like that Grace tailors is open Saturdays 9-4pm - great for working people. read more

I bought my wedding dress off the rack at Brilliant Bridal and brought it to Grace Tailors to be altered in June. Turns out it was a very complex dress. The top had to be almost totally redone in order to fit me, and I guess the design of the dress did not have enough material to let out, so Grace was very creative and ordered a corset to add to the back (though added to the cost), which ended up being a nice touch to the design. I also wanted it hemmed to be tea-length, as I did not want a train, and she did an excellent job while still maintaining the beautiful lace design at the bottom. Fitting the top was a bit frustrating for both her and I, as it took about 6 fittings total to get it right, but she acknowledged the inconvenience and gave me a small discount. I'm just glad I took the dress in 4 months before the wedding! read more

I got mine and my daughters dress done with grace and my daughters dress turned out PERFECT. My dress had a lot of alterations, we added sleeves which came out perfect, we added a belt, which came out amazing. The downfall to the alterations done to my dress was that I paid $90 for three bustles for my tail and two of the bustles broke off my dress before my first dance. My dress was pretty expensive so it was multilayered so once one broke off the tail was down for the rest of the night. I was holding my dress up the entire time I dance it was ridiculous that 2 hours into my wedding I was dragging my tail when I paid for three bustles to last me all night. They where super nice and we did everything perfect for my daughters dress but now my wedding photos are of a dirty dress being held in my hand. read more

They charged me more than my bridesmaid dress even cost, but I figured they'd do a great job for that price. The dress was altered way too tight in the waist and was too large on the bust. During the wedding one of the cups they had sewn in fell out completely. Definitely won't be going back there! read more

The tailor here is such a sweet, kind lady who does amazing work for very reasonable prices. It might take more than a few days to get done, but it's worth it! She has done everything for me from bridesmaids dresses to hemmed pants, and she even replaced the zipper on a heavy-duty leather jacket for a very good price. This place is a one-woman show and definitely a gem. read more

Could not have asked for a better experience. I brought in a number of items, including a very expensive vintage Vicuna overcoat that was owned by my grandfather to be fitted for myself. They treated everything with care, and did an amazing job, with quick turnaround. Look no further! read more

Wonderful experience! I worked with Grace Tailors to fit my wedding gown and add draped sleeves. The result was perfect, and I received so many compliments on the added sleeves! When the fabric I brought in didn't quite look right, Grace pulled out some scraps from an alteration she had completed on another wedding gown and let me use the fabric at no cost. The fabric was perfect! In addition to that, my dress fit like a glove. There was quite a complicated lace hemline that she masterfully shortened at a very reasonable price. It was so fun coming in for fittings because the ladies who worked there were very excited to see my dress come together! I ended up bringing in dresses to be shortened for my honeymoon, and will be back for all of my future tailoring needs! read more

Excellent service!! Professional, patient, helpful, kind - and really put in exceptional effort!

They did a great job, but I paid $100 for a 1-inch hem and shortening of my straps on a bridesmaid dress. Although, I can tell you I haven't needed a tailor before so I can't say if this is normal, but it was definitely expensive to me read more

Grace Tailors is amazing! I had my bridesmaid dress shipped to me and it got lost in the mail so I got it late. I then was flying out that weekend. They not only did an fantastic job tailoring my dress but they got it done earlier then I asked asked since I was flying out for the wedding. Not to mention the dress was difficult to tailor. Grace tailors is very friendly as well. I've brought all my clothes here to be tailored and they're always nice and welcoming and everything is ready on time if not early!!!! Grace Tailors is my preferred tailor in Denver. I've had a dress altered, a shirt shortened and pants hemmed, and all 3 experiences have been positive. They always have you try on the clothes before and after to get accurate measurements and make sure it's done to your satisfaction. The price can be tad a bit high, but the work is always high quality and has been done on time. read more

I stumbled upon this place about 2 years ago when I moved into the neighborhood. What a find! The lady who owns the shop is not only a great seamstress but also a pleasure to work with. She does quality work at affordable prices! read more

Grace Tailor's is great! I have been going here for small & large alterations. Every time my items come back perfect! When I went to other tailors I was charged so much and told that what I wanted fixed was not worth it, and these were things I refused to just let go because they just need small alterations. so I took them to Grace and she fixed them up so nicely. the best was when I was in a wedding and me and a few other brides maids and the bride had to get our dresses altered, and Grace Tailors saved the day yet again. Our garnets were perfectly altered and returned to us in good time before the wedding. read more

I am very short, and nothing ever fits the way it should. I need some alterations and this place did a wonderful job. The alterations were perfect, high quality and the staff is super friendly. Grace did great work hemming my dress and she even fixed a popped seam no charge. If I need anything tailored, I'll be back.

These friendly folks are a family-owned business. They treated us like family, payed attention to the smallest of details in altering the wedding dress, and at a reasonable price. There's no glitz & glamor (it's a large sewing room), low overhead, which translates into savings for you. I highly recommend Grace Tailors! read more

I've been going to Grace Tailors for more than a year now, and I wouldn't bring my clothes anywhere else! They're simply the best. I have an extensive collection of vintage clothes, especially from the 1940s and 1950s, and Grace always does an incredible job, taking amazing care of the pieces. She's worked miracles with some of the items I've brought in, including a satin gown that I had given up hope on fitting me. I can't recommend them enough. read more

Grace Tailors - Grace altered this dress for me, I was so please with her work! - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Denver, Colorado

We love Grace tailors and have been loyal customers for about 2 years now! We usually bring jeans for hemming, but shes shortened a jacket for me, and hemmed both my husband's wedding suit and my wedding dress. She always makes fair and fantastic suggestions when we bring stuff in that may need altering. She takes into considerations your needs, budget and timeline and makes great recommendations based on these things. She does fantastic work and I was amazed at the hem on my wedding gown that had a delicate overlay along with complicated beading (pictures below!) I have always been pleased with the work done here- highly recommended! read more

Way overpriced just to hem a bridesmaid dress.

I don't generally put a review on Yelp. But this place deserves one from me. I searched extensively for an alteration service in the area and, after reading reviews and asking folks around, decided to give it a try. Most of my suits and jackets are high dollar items. Some costs thousands each. So it is natual for me to be skeptical about who will be working on them. The lady looked at my Italian coat and knew immediately the work involved to have it adjusted to fit my aged body shape. She spent much time measuring me, it almost felt like she was about to design a brand new custom suit. The whole time she made me feel as if she had known me for a long time. Very kind. When it was due for pick up, she really really impressed me by miles. What an work of art she had done! I mean the fit, form, function all were as if the coat just came out of design store where I got it from. No trace I could notice that it had gone through the alteration service. The fee was very reasonable. I am definitely going back for some of the new suits I recently bought that need the exact fitting. This place is it! I definitely recommend it to everyone. read more

This is best tailor place I have ever been to. First of all, the owner, Grace, is so kind, professional, and smart. She knows exactly how to hem clothes without even trying them on. She is also really fast! I take all my clothes to her and she is always done in record time. The last time I used her, I took this hideous bridesmaid's dress for her to hem. The dress was at least four sizes too big and she was able to make it fit like a glove. All the other tailors I had taken the dress to had told me it was too hard to sew-not Grace! When it comes to sewing she is the best in town! I would trust her with any piece of clothing I own!!!!!! She lives far across town from me but I make the drive because she is the absolute best! read more

I've gone here a few times and had great results. However, my recent experiences have been quite disappointing. I had pants altered (I got fitted there) and the waist was taken in about an inch more than measured so obviously they don't fit. And she shortened a dress about 3 inches shorter than specified. I won't be going back. read more
