Very kind and wonderful seamstress! Locate off of Colfax, I suggest street parking on the side streets. A lot of heavy construction so just plan accordingly. You don't need an appointment for an alteration, you could just show up with your items and she will measure them on you. I had a bridesmaids dress that was a little too long and needed to be taken in. Make sure you show up with all of your undergarments and shoes as that affects how the item will lay on your body. She quickly used a chalk steamer to mark where the dress needed to be hemmed and taken in. I also did this a month before I needed the item back, which gave her plenty of time. She was really kind and very helpful, gave great suggestions on how short it needed to be. I will definitely go back for any alterations I need in the future. read more

There will be no parking in front of the store, so be ready to park on a side street. Credit cards accepted for any amount, which is awesome for those that NEVER carry cash. Small alteration shop that does an excellent job at reasonable prices with quick turnaround. I had limited time to get my bridesmaid dress fixed but was able to drop the dress off the afternoon of May 8 and pick it up on May 17 (only 9 days)! It was a more involved job as it needed to be taken in at the top, sides and bottom. The price for the alterations was $80 vs a quoted price of $140 I got from other tailors in the area. There wasn't any added fees for the "rushed" work either. She also spent time during the consultation to ensure a good fit and consider the best ways to address any concerns about what you wantto be done. I called before stopping in and the women on the phone refused to quote me a price or timeframe for what I was asking for(two dresses taken in around the midsection and two holes patched). Understandably I brought the items in. The woman was so incredibly rude telling me I was ridiculous to ask for one dress to be picked up in 3 business days, which is why I called initially. So I moved on to the next dress. Again, she is so rude and huffs when asking me what I want to get done to it. She starts telling me that what I'm asking for isn't possible. When I said I wasn't comfortable proceeding with my items she started to raise her voice and started telling me how wrong I am. Found Mia and her business by doing a quick Yelp search because I wanted someone in my Sloan Lake area. Every one else I found was a long drive from my house and it would take a long time to get my cold weather gear back. Sure enough-she was easy to find right across from Seedstock on Colfax with street parking right around the corner. I took her a vest that needed a zipper, and right away she was able to find a zipper in her stock that would work for the garment. I brought a pair of pants to be hemmed and one leg ended up being longer than the other. So I brought it back for Mia to fix. She started to yell at me about time and money so I decided to leave because I am not going to be yelled at for her mistake. As I opened the door to leave, Mia proceeded to grab my bag with the pants from me. I then pulled the bag back and walked out the door. She followed me down the street and to my car.
