They did an excellent job on the hem. You would never even be able to tell they were altered. Length is perfect. I had a bad experience once (at a different place) which has made me nervous about hemming. They nailed it and were extra diligent on this piece. I was referred to her by Altar Bridal, where I purchased my wedding dress, so I felt confident that I was being referred to someone experienced and trustworthy with bridal gowns. Unfortunately, that confidence was completely misplaced. My dress originally fit almost perfectly. It was maybe a half size too big and only needed minor alteration. It is a satin dress, so I was especially careful about who I trusted to work on it. After the alterations, my dress is now visibly damaged. There are sewing marks all over the satin where stitching was done and then removed, leaving obvious needle and thread marks throughout the fabric. The dress is now crooked, and the rouching has been completely distorted and does not lay correctly anymore. These are not small imperfections that can be overlooked on my wedding day. The dress looks cheap and destroyed not delicate and elegant like when I got it. My wedding is only a month away. I brought her a dress that already fit almost perfectly, and I am now left with a damaged wedding dress and no idea how I am going to get it repaired in time for my wedding. I understand that alterations can be complicated and that mistakes can happen. However, when someone is trusted with a wedding dress, especially a delicate satin gown, I expect a much higher level of care and expertise. I also trusted this recommendation because it came directly from the bridal shop where I purchased my dress. I gave her multiple opportunities to fix the dress, but at what should have been my last appointment I didn't trust her to touch my dress anymore. If you are considering using this seamstress for your wedding dress, I strongly recommend doing your research and considering other options. I would never want another bride to be in the position I am in now. My wedding is 32 days away and I absolutely hate my dress now.

I brought TIW my approximately $4,000 wedding gown and paid them nearly $800 for alterations. They destroyed my dress. They knew my wedding date and when I was leaving Colorado. After six appointments, Tailored in White ruined my dress. The hem was shorter than approved and uneven, the bodice and structure were ruined, and the gown was covered in stains. I asked Tailored in White to replace the dress and have it express-shipped directly to their shop and gave them another opportunity to complete the work correctly. Their response was that their legal team needed 5-7 business days to review, even though they knew I was leaving for my wedding in just a few days. I even reached out directly to the owner thinking she might want to know what was going on and make it right but she never responded. That's when I knew something was really wrong. I ultimately bought a replacement dress myself for another nearly $4000 and had it shipped directly to my wedding location. I was not able to have it altered but the dress out of the box was 1000 times better than what Tailored in White did to it. I initially shared my experience on Instagram via stories and instead of taking meaningful responsibility, Tailored in White sent me a cease-and-desist letter that was filled with lies. Saying I appeared at TIW, threatened an employee, and photographed employees' vehicles and license plates. None of this happened. I only arrived during scheduled appointments that I have confirmations for. And in fact I was incredibly nice to the employees. Telling them I understand mistakes happen, and TIW has an opportunity to make it right by replacing the dress. Instead TIW threatened to sue me unless I stopped making all public and private statements about TIW within one business day. I recently shared more about my experience on Instagram and I've had numerous brides reach out to me that had similar experiences at Tailored in White. In my experience, they do not have professional bridal seamstresses and they do not have adequate staff to complete the amount of work they take on. They tried to use legal threats to silence me from sharing my experience. Their contract included a non-disparagement clause that directly conflicts with the Colorado Consumer Protection act. The owner has a history of ruining dresses and closed her previous business - SewCora leaving many brides with dresses in shambles while having took their payments up front! But somehow opened Tailored in White 4 months later. I learned so much about this business, it's owner, history, and how they operate that I filed a complaint with the attorney general of Colorado and reported their attorney to the Arizona bar. I also filed lawsuit against them to recover the damages from my dress and experience. A wedding cannot be recreated. A bride should not have to spend the final days before her wedding scrambling to replace a gown because the seamstress destroyed her dress--and she should not be intimidated or threatened for honestly documenting what happened afterward. My experience with Tailored in White caused significant financial loss, stress and heartbreak during what should have been one of the happiest times of my life. And sadly I'm not the only one. Protect your dress, your money and your peace. Go somewhere else!!

I originally went in for a bustle and to loosen the straps on my wedding dress. I got nervous because she said it would be at least an additional $75 for the straps if there wasn't enough fabric, so I simplified to just the bustle. I opted for the option that was three pieces to keep cost minimal and easy on my mom at the wedding. When I picked up the dress she said she was just going to keep the $50 deposit (over twice what we agreed on for bustle alone) because she decided it needed more buttons and she didn't want her name attached to bad work. I let it go even though it violated our contract. When I got home two of the buttons were detached and I needed to set up another time to drop off and retrieve my dress with Gail. Today I get a call from David's Bridal that when they were pressing my dress 3+ pieces of the bustle came off. They felt so bad they fixed the work. Gail did return my call, but I had already wasted so much time and money without any apologies or compensation from her, I couldn't bring myself to go back. Others have had a good experience, but unfortunately my wedding is four days away and I don't even know that the bustle will stay up.

Not the best for fast turnaround though, as two weeks is the usual quoted turnaround time, and often Kimberly then needs an additional few days or week to actually finish. Wrote her 8 days later, offering sympathy and asking to reschedule, and still haven't heard back from her. It's been over a month. She seems flakey. She probably shouldn't have a professional profile on Google and just do her thing when available, on Craigslist. Look for classes elsewhere.

This of course would be reasonable if she would have communicated in a timely manner, which she did not. This would also be understandable if she simply apologized and took responsibility for her mistake, which she also did not. The quality of her work nor her prices are enough to justify the cons of choosing Maullie over a brick and mortar tailor with employees that treat customers with respect and communicate like adults.
