We were beyond fortunate to work with Jordan, who quickly built a great rapport with the bride and impressed all of us with her knowledge of the different dresses, styles and fabrics. We enjoyed mimosas and macarons in a spacious seating area for our group of four guests as well as the bride. The scheduled appointment time flew by, and we moved onto our next stop - surely it wouldn't be so easy that she would say YES to the very first dress she tried on?! Well, she absolutely (eventually) did. Jordan encouraged us to return later that day if she wanted to try it on again, and after our next somewhat underwhelming experience at our next appointment, we went back and finalized the purchase, cancelling our last two appointments for the next day. We stayed under our budget and the beautiful dress she selected is simply exquisite. A huge selection of gowns and large store - it can feel overwhelming on arrival but their entire staff does a great job creating a welcoming environment and keeping things moving smoothly.

I'm extremely disappointed in how it turned out. I should have taken it home the first time I saw the alterations and had someone correct it. I thought they could fix it. It looks worse. I can't fix it at this point because of timing and to say I'm disappointed after spending over $5000 here is an understatement. Edit: I took my dress to my regular tailor and she salvaged it within a few days for literally a quarter of the cost of tailoring at TBC. Mia's Creative Tailoring is the absolute best! She said she gets a lot of dresses folks who buy here and need a last minute fix. So disappointed I wasted money on their services.

Even before I stepped in the shop, my experience with LB was notable given the consultation call (so helpful and time-saving) and the online portal with price transparency. Actually unheard of. The owner, Carly, is just very rad, and has a gift for creating a relaxing, fun in-shop experience. Her method for helping you confidently choose between dresses was so good. You'll have to go to find out what it is. And it was SO necessary because I loved pretty much every dress I tried on which has NEVER been the case at other shops. I ended up saying yes to a SAINT dress, though I was obsessed with many of the other designers they exclusively carry. As a once-in-a-lifetime experience that can so often be absolutely miserable, I was so relieved to be able to just enjoy it and have fun thanks to Carly and her team. You deserve all the stars!

So my future sister-in-law booked this place for me to try on wedding dresses. She had heard good…read morethings about this place, but had found her dress and didn't need to go to new places. Anyway, when you first park you are greeted with a store front that looks kind of like a 90s prom, party store. Images are big and they are a bit dated, but don't let the quality of the outside fool you! The inside is actually very well kept and feels like your traditional boutique bridal store. When we went inside, we were greeted by Victoria and she told us that we could browse the dresses and just use a clip to clip anything we wanted. The store was portioned out into different sizes and each rack was then divided into style of dress. I did notice they had a decent selection of short dresses which was one thing I was looking for. So far the best seletion I had seen. They also had a back section for super expensive dresses. So they are a consignment store for both pre-owned wedding dresses and other bridal stores that are consigning their previous years' selection. (If you want to consign your dress, they evaluate the price and you have 90 days to sell it. I didn't really find dresses that were pre-owned. Most were sample dresses that were getting consigned by a bridal boutique.) After you go through your selection, then you would try on the dresses and then the stylist would pick out any other dresses for you once they got your style. So the dress process was fine. They had a good selection of unique dresses that I was eyeing and there was never any pressure to purchase anything from them. (I did find that even though this was a consignment store, the prices for dresses were still pretty high for certain dresses. I guess I was expecting them to be cheaper?) I had already purchased my bhdln dress, but wanted to check out a couple more stores with my future sister in law. If a dress could knock out my bhldn one then I would cancel my order. Needless to say, I did not find a dress to topple the bhldn dress, however, I still had a great experience. So please come check this place out!

I think its important to specify right off the bat that all appointments you make here are paid, so I paid to have this experience. I don't remember the name of the lady who was supposed to help me, but if yelp lets me do photos I do have a half picture of her. She has mid length dark straight hair and is the one in the photos wearing the white sleeveless top. This was my first time going in to a bridal shop to try on dresses and was supposed to be a fun and exciting experience, however the whole thing was pretty awkward and overall upsetting. When we first arrived, the lady asked me the same questions that were on the questionaire that I was required to fill out when booking, which made me believe she didn't look at my answers before the appointment. I showed her my inspiration photos and when I told her my budget she told me it would be hard to find a dress like the one I wanted with the budget I had. That was good for me to know, however I wasn't expecting her to basically check out. I picked out a few dresses and she helped me into them but that was about the extent of our interaction. She asked me questions about my fiance, and when I told our story she gave short, uninterested answers in a way that made me feel like she was supposed to ask these questions (which to be fair she probably was) and she didn't really care. It's interesting that this is on the Altar's website: "Our stylists are kind and gracious, and most of all, fun! Their infectious love of all things bridal will reflect in your shopping experience. We will guide you with our expertise in gown construction, structure, style and fit. Your stylist will then pull all of the dresses you picked and also make suggestions on additional styles you might like." When I was coming out of the fitting room and showing my friend the different dresses, my stylist had absolutely zero input. There was no effort to show me different styles or colors, or generally get any portion of her "expertise". The only time we heard from her was when I told my friend I liked the different shade of white and the woman said, "ivory". The most upsetting and just plain disrespectful thing about my experience here was actually that, towards the end of my PAID appointment, the lady was actually eating her lunch in between interactions. Not only that, but watching her go off and sit in another bride's fitting while I was still trying on my dresses. Completely disrespectful. I am very unhappy with the way this day went. I drove 45 minutes because I was recommended the Altar, and my friend drove 2 hours. I honestly just want my money back and to forget it all happened. I don't know why I was treated differently than the other brides, and I would hate to think that my budget being too low at a consignment shop was the reason for the poor treatment, (mind you it was hundreds of dollars above the lowest price they advertise on their website) however I can't think of anything else.
