Everything here is made from scratch, from the smoky, tender meats to the rich, satisfying sides--and you can taste the difference. Their unique smoking process brings out deep, layered flavors that set them apart from your average BBQ joint. The Big Hungry sandwich lives up to its name, combining brisket, cheese, mayo, pulled pork, coleslaw, and BBQ sauce into one unforgettable bite. It's a messy, meaty masterpiece that showcases the best of what they do. Sides like the creamy Mac N Cheese, hearty Bacon Baked Beans, and the indulgent Loaded Baked Potato Salad are clearly made with the same attention to detail and scratch-made care. From the creative combos to the quality ingredients and unmistakable smokehouse flavor, Big Hungry BBQ is a standout. Whether you're going for a Mac N Cheese Boat or a full 3 Meat Platter, you're guaranteed a meal that's both comforting and crave-worthy. Must Try: Big Hungry sandwich, Mac N Cheese Boat, and Loaded Baked Potato Salad. Thanks Nick & team you guys are amazing!!!

Not only the meats, but the sides are to die for too. Was so good I went back same day to get some for my friends to try for their wedding. Safe to say Big Hungry BBQ is the top contender for their wedding day catering so far and I don't see that changing. Also, this little family business is very affordable considering bbq and catering prices these days. They are such a sweet family. We can't wait eat again!

Decent BBQ joint on North end of town…read more.. Dropped by Lucille's for the first time on Friday for a work lunch with the crew... Been meaning/wanting to try for a while, but have never got around to it. Ok experience, but there's some areas of attention needed. Pros: Friendly/quick service, outstanding brisket, excellent bbq sauces (I particularly liked the vinegar and spicy sauces), and large portions. Cons: Over-priced, average at best sides, extremely smoky in dining room, and dirty/run down restaurant. Overall our experience was good, but the smoke in the dining room was a real problem that actually had my eyes burning/watering while we were eating (it literally looked like an AARP Club Catholic Church bingo event, it was that smoky inside the restaurant), the food is stupid expensive ($35 lunch, one person), and the sides just weren't good (bland coleslaw and broccoli salad). The restaurant also needs a facelift and desperate deep clean... It had that dirty, grimy, sticky feel on the floors and tables (presumably from all the smoke in the dining room). I still consider Shigs n' Pit to be the far and wide the best BBQ in town, but Lucille's has the potential to be really good if they can make some adjustments, improvements, and clean the place up.

Sweet Smoked Pork Steak with BBQ sauce (Lucille's BBQ, north Lima Road) - tried something…read moredifferent, good value and very tasty I prefer Lucille's BBQ plate selections as I feel they give me good value. A select smoked meat with two sides for $14-16. This gives you a good all around taste of Lucille's offerings. On this trip I selected the sweet smoked pork steak with Mac & Cheese and Wilson baked beans. The entree was $14. The pork steak was a thinly cut piece of pork - maybe 3/4 inch thick. The steak definitely had hints of smokey and grilled flavors. The meat was tender, no pink color and moist. It was easily cut when warm, not as easy as it cooled. This is a large flat piece of meat so it took time to cut into pieces and savor. The BBQ sauce was sweet with no real spicy after taste kick. Glad I tried this selection. I really like the Mac & Cheese as it is very creamy and has a nice cheese flavor. The sauce has some jalapeño pieces - so expect a little heat and kick. The Wilson baked beans are also a bit spicy. There are small pieces of brisket embedded in the sweet savory BBQ bean sauce. Lucille's has a nice selection of other delicious sides for you to try. Lucille's does a nice job with smoked BBQ meats. Make the trip north to the corner of Lima and Wallen Roads. It's worth a try!

Wow... just wow! My husband and I have been looking for a decent BBQ resturant near us for…read more... well.... a hot minute.. Let me just say... I believe we have found one. One that will deserve our repete business. My husband ordered the 3 meat and got the chicken, pulled pork and ribs. Ribs were fall off the bone, pulled pork was juicy AND NOT FATTY, and the chicken was juicy and not dry. My husband liked the house BBQ. The green beans were phenomenal, the type that need to go with Bbq, and a baked potato which my gusband said felt like a pound tater and the best. He got his tater loaded... and he said later that he wished he would have put some of his pulled pork on top of his potato! He had more than enough for left overs and is eating that this morning while Im writing this.. he says that he didnt even warm up his left overs and it was just as good cold as it as while it was warm! Our friend we had with us got the pulled pork sandwich and he devoured his food! He did try the spicy BBQ and he said it was lovely with a nice slow warmth coming from the back. The best bbq he has had in a while too. Me.. I'm always a scaredy cat when it comes to food. I tend to stick to my normals and don't stray much.. Last night was no exception. I ordered the sharable nachos with pulled pork. Fantastic. I didn't have a drop of fat in my pulled pork which I personally have issues with, which made me extremely happy! The only complaint that I have is I wish with nachos that places would love the bottom layer of chips as well. I hate getting almost done with my nachos and I have a host of dry nachos at the bottom. No queso no pork... They are sad. They should feel love too! The space is laid out nicely and the atmosphere top notch. Waitress were much friendlier than several other resturants. There is a small incline in the floor as you go further back to the rear of the resturant towards the restrooms. The entire place is handicap accessible. Which gets extra bonus points in my opinion! As we are always on the lookout for places to bring our elderly parents who are in chairs. Tables are excellent for wheelchair users and persons of size (like myself). I will say that the booths were 'movable' and I had plenty of room as a big girl! The restrooms were very clean and large. We were so blown away by the food quality and quantity and taste WE FORGOT TO TAKE PICTURES!!!!!!!!!! That's saying something!!
