    Chicken tenders

Good service the waiters are very kind to all customers.Amzing food including the chicken tenders.Ambiance is good too.

Arrived around noon on a Saturday. the place was pretty busy! We were immediately greeted and seated upon entering. Our waitress came right to our table and took our drink order and we were off! The variety of food is quite impressive! If you can't find at least a couple things, then boy are you picky! Everything I tried was good, except for the egg rolls. Didn't care for their taste. My friend got steak, a couple different kinds of mushrooms and FROG LEGS! They even have a chocolate fountain! The crab rangoon was enormous! The place was pretty clean. Adequate lighting. Very family oriented vibe here. Lots of families with children. For the price ($14.00) and variety of food, it's well worth it!. No complaints about the service. I felt it was top notch!

A good buffet for the North Country! Clean and everything looks fresh... Crab Rangoon is the bomb!!! Nothing else knocked our socks off!! That's all that comes to mind... enough said...

Quite a good verity of good quality items at a reasonable price. Offering a wide choice for almost every tastebuds. Food quality is definitely good and fresh. We enjoyed our dinner thoroughly

Came on a whim after church and man we were so happy we did. A ton of options from Chinese to seafood to hibachi and salads and fruit, desserts etc. anything you can want really. Even had prime rib!! We def were In fat heaven. Food was constant replenished. Hot and tasty. One drawback was that some of the seafood was over cooked and rubbery. The place was packed but we had about a 5' wait and it was smooth going through the different stations. Staff was ontop of filling drinks, clearing plates, and they were a good nice group of servers. Even though the price is $16 without a drink it's worth it. Plenty of parking in the private lot and easy to find once off 69. Def recommend and I'd go back tonight for dinner. Glad I dont live close cause it would be lethal.

    Best Chinese buffet ever!

This place has to be the best buffet in north east Indiana. We are frequent there at least once every few weeks and we absolutely LOVE it.

The quality of the food was very poor. Probably the worst Chinese buffet I've ever been to. We won't be back.

We had three places to choose from (Oriental Gourmet and Peking Buffet) being the other two. No good reason originally for choosing China Buffet other than I saw it first while driving around town. When we called the number to order ahead I was greeted with a "Hello?" and that was it. No "Hello, this is China Buffet" so I said "oops wrong number" and hung up. Both the phone book and their carryout menu list the number I called. Once I arrived there I believe it was the young girl (middle school age?) who answered that one. So be on guard if you want to call in your order. The place is easy to get to right off Seventh St. in a little strip mall area. Plenty of parking. Make sure to enter the strip mall to find the door to China Buffet. Inside it's your typical Chinese restaurant decor. They do have a fish tank, which I've never seen in a Chinese place before. Unfortunately it's right near the cash register and there's no seating there if you were hoping to entertain little ones with fish-watching. Place looked clean and nice. I was pleased to hear Chinese being spoken. I thought that was a good omen. The woman and her daughter were polite, kind, and easy to communicate with (which as we know isn't always the case when getting Chinese food, let's be honest). At this point we're at a 4 star rating. Easy to get to, nice employees, clean, food came in a reasonable time, etc. The woman even threw in an extra egg roll on my way out. I ordered the Orange Chicken with white rice and my husband had the combination General Tso's. The Orange Chicken was supposed to be spicy. It wasn't. Either they forgot to put the rice in my order or they don't actually put more than a grain or two in it. Not sure which, just know there was no rice. My husband kept saying "it lacks flavor." I would agree. I had enough left over for the next day, but opted to throw it out instead of eat it. Very disappointed. Given that we choose a restaurant based on their food quality/taste and not on their service or lovely fish tank, we won't be going back. Just drive a little further West on State Rd. 7 and head into Garrett to have much better Chinese food at Chef Peng's.

Interesting place…read more Let me cover the easy aspects first. The staff was very friendly and very gracious. Upscale atmosphere but they didn't turn me away when I wanted to work on my laptop so points for that!!. I didn't go upstairs but it's possible they have a more casual dining atmosphere there. I had the prime rib vegetable soup and didn't send it back but it was not edible. It was quite heavy with grease. It had tons of potential but something went awry there. I also had the black and bleu salad with beef tips. It was quite good but had way too much dressing for me I should have ordered the dressing on the side anyway so that's on me. The flavor was great! The beef tips had a lot of flavor. I asked for them to be rare to medium rare and they came out medium which was fine I guess. If I were ordering a steak and it came out that way I would have had them redo it. But steak tips are hard to get right and get out to the table while still pink. I enjoyed that salad. Overall the food was excellent. Side note: The attire is more geared toward suits and dresses. But the staff treated every guest very well. I'd definitely return. ACS is filling a much needed gap in Auburn's dining options and they're doing a great job.

The potato, beans and corn were delicious! The bread that was brought to the table was awful!! The salad choices were good and fresh and deserts were tasty. Our server was wonderful and attentive. When I went to the restroom, the kitchen was a disaster as if a tornado had gone through. There was a young man in there that looked like he was washing dishes and cleaning up, but the smell and the amount of cleanup required an army. Wow! I think in order for Ponderosa to survive, they need to embrace health and foods that are simple with reduced processing. They already have the great name recognition They just need to shift in that direction and use it for advertisement. I may come back and try it again I'm visiting the state.

I will say that the options on the buffet line can be hit or miss sometimes on options you'd eat but for the most part, there's a good variety for everyone! The service here is also super friendly, never had a bad experience with the staff here. They also keep the food on the buffet line nice and fresh!
