I liked that there were a good many non-Chinese items. The parking lot was packed when I walked over from the Hampton Inn nearby, something I always regard as a good thing. We had been excited to try Paradise Buffet for a while. Felt like we were being rushed after eating a couple plates. We had only been there maybe 20 minutes when we were given the bill, I asked for change back and the server looked confused and opened it up and counted it in front of me which felt rude. Felt rushed even though all the tables around us had been there before we arrived. Staff was standing near by watching closely. Just an awkward experience all around. Great buffet, great service. It would be nice if they would post more information like what are the lunch price hours and what is served at dinner that is not served at lunch. I usually go at dinner, so I don't know the answers. The dinner offers prime rib, steak, and sushi. I know the steak and prime rib are not offered, but not sure about the sushi. Arrived around noon on a Saturday. the place was pretty busy! We were immediately greeted and seated upon entering. Our waitress came right to our table and took our drink order and we were off! The variety of food is quite impressive! If you can't find at least a couple things, then boy are you picky! Everything I tried was good, except for the egg rolls. Didn't care for their taste. Literally too hungry that I forgot to take photos. I mean, it's a buffet. What are you gonna do? Anyway, Paradise Buffet is one of my only 3 "S-tier" places in America, and I don't give that designation out lightly. It pretty much means that it is 6 stars if the rating system allowed it. The best of the best. So does that mean it has some of the tastiest food I've ever had? Haha heck no. Who are we kidding? But the price is DIRT CHEAP for what you get (a fact I think many locals are not privy to, or decide to keep a secret to themselves), and it's very, VERY hard to find a better-tasting buffet, at any price. It's the kind of place you only talk about if you had a bad experience, so I think the score average went down a bit because of that. But if you sit down and compare and contrast a little bit, you may realize that Paradise is pretty awesome. First off, their menu is very consistent. By that I mean I don't think their selection of foods has changed at all for over 5 years lol. It's always the same dishes, to be found exactly where you expected them to be. They really give off Kim Vũ vibes in that aspect. You'd expect them to do these dishes well since they've cooked them for so long... and they do. I find it very hard to find something to complain about in general, except for things like canned fruits and cookies. You know, resold market stuff. The sushi... Eh, it's buffet sushi. But the fact that it's EDIBLE at all already makes it better than the vast majority of buffets out there. Just don't come in expecting anything too much, but you pay pretty much nothing for unagi pieces that actually have some taste. I call that an absolute win. I actually like the salad bar a lot. It's probably not super impressive if you're more used to traditional American dining than I am, but everything tasted fresh (including the mussels, which is usually a surefire stomach-killer at other buffets), and they've got some "upscale" stuff liked stuffed olives and fresh shrimps in there. Again, I call that an absolute win. I generally avoid fried stuff and carbs in buffets (y'know, shouldn't fill yourself up too much), but darn the fried frog legs and coconut shrimps are super. You know what's better than fried stuff at a buffet, though? Grilled stuff. Broiled stuff. Crusty stuff. The chicken-on-a-stick and hibachi grill are some of the best you'd get anywhere, and the prime rib is LEGIT! Again, dirt-cheap Chinese buffet, people. I've had worse steaks at Ruth Chris's. Before I end up listing their entire menu (it never changes), let me just introduce you to Paradise's best-kept secret: The cheesecake. As far as I could tell, Paradise Buffet's cheesecake is unique. Which is really surprising since even Deema would serve you cheesecake from Costco. The cheesecake at Paradise is very solid and light, giving you just the right amount of creaminess without filling you up or overwhelming your taste buds (doubly surprising since buffets tend to do the opposite). It's cheap, sure, and it's a bit of a guilty pleasure. But as with everything else in this quaint joint, it's mad value for what it is. Came on a whim after church and man we were so happy we did. A ton of options from Chinese to seafood to hibachi and salads and fruit, desserts etc. anything you can want really. Even had prime rib!! We def were In fat heaven. Food was constant replenished. Hot and tasty. One drawback was that some of the seafood was over cooked and rubbery. The place was packed but we had about a 5' wait and it was smooth going through the different stations. Staff was ontop of filling drinks, clearing plates, and they were a good nice group of servers. Even though the price is $16 without a drink it's worth it. Plenty of parking in the private lot and easy to find once off 69. Def recommend and I'd go back tonight for dinner. My favorites were the REALLY good prime rib, sirloin steak, salad bar with shrimp and mussels, hot and sour, and the ice cream. The only gripe I have is that a majority of the Chinese items were fried, and I have a gluten allergy so that was somewhat limiting. The dessert area was super sketchy. Cheesecake looked overcooked and really dry. If you want ice cream they have it in big tubs like at ice cream shops and you grab a scoop and reach in. No way. We were totally surprised by how much selection there was, and how clean and presentable everything appeared. There was just way too much to sample everything, but this buffet outdid the Indianapolis buffets we've been to by leaps and bounds. There were some items I would have liked and weren't on the buffet, but the massive selection kept me from missing those things much. One thing we've noticed at the Indpls buffets is that the desserts are very attractive, inviting, and totally tasteless - like 'pretty' sawdust. The desserts at Paradise Buffet were flavored perfectly! No nasty sawdust desserts! I especially like the banana pudding and the ice cream/sherbet for dessert. Went back for 2nds. We have tried Paradise Buffet a few times now as my brother-in-law thoroughly enjoys the sushi at this buffet. While I absolutely love that this buffet has a sushi bar, I have not been a big fan of the sushi. I think that over the past three visits, there may have been one or two sushi rolls that I have actually liked - the rest have been bland for me. (This could also possibly be from me being sushi snob). I feel like the food here is that way too - bland and cold. Aside from the food, the servers are always so friendly and kind. We have been going to Paradise Buffet ever since it opened in Auburn July 2013. The food is always fresh and hot. My entire family loves it, it's our go to restaurant when we go out to eat. They have a breads, soups, salad, fruit, dessert, sushi bar. Ice cream. Chocolate Fountain. Several bars of varieties of Chinese foods. American food, chicken strips, pizza, fries, mashed potatoes, chicken legs, green beans, quesadillas and more. They have a Grill, they will make food for you. After 4 pm they have Prime Rib, ham & steak. All included in the buffet. On holidays they will have Specials. Example All you can eat Crab Legs on the buffet. read more

We've been coming to paradise for a very long time. Tonight I have to say I've had it when I come to a Buffet for a prime rib dinner. I expect that prime rib to be thicker than sandwich meat. They cut the prime rib so thin you can see through I said I need a thicker piece than this and the guy said no The manager came over and said we don't cut it any thicker than that I said excuse me, prime rib is usually an inch thick I can understand it's a buffet so you go thinner, but this is ridiculous. So I said OK I took the piece he cut really thin with a manager standing right there then I put my plate in front of him again I said I want another piece and he cut another piece and I got even thinner and then and he put it on my plate and then I said here I'd like another piece and he cut it even thinner where you could barely even see it. So I said now if you see that the thickness that I wanted is what is right there in those three pieces why do I have to come up her three times to get a piece that I would like to have. I put the plate down and I walked away, and I said I don't want this. You guys are a joke now. when I was walking back to my play with some of the stuff that I usually get the manager ran into me because he's trying to squeeze between me and the wall I got really what the is wrong with you dude. So now here's my comment on the food the food used to be better it's mostly chicken that's either fried or breaded. The salad bar is OK the shrimp I don't like how it's not cleaned and fresh shrimp with the shell should come right off you have to fight the shell off the shrimp, so it's old.
