I was in the area from out of town and used Yelp to find "restaurants near me" and was glad to find this little place for take out. I was the only one there for a late lunch / early dinner, but there are quire a bit of seats so I imagine they do a good weekly lunch rush. Hidden Gem.... This is a family owned and operated business. They work hard for their money just like you and I. They will wait your table or order at desk and then have a seat. English is great and everyone is very friendly and wanting to make you feel welcomed. The food?? Amazing! Although the entrees seem pricey.... There is enough for 2 average eaters or even a family with smaller children. Your $ goes a long way here. The food It is delicious and very authentic. OG has been around for a years and the locals know it's one of the best. Had the beef fried rice, Szechuan chicken, crab Rangoons, and egg roll. Yum. $32 without tip so please be considerate. Only downside is no dine in except outside seating. So call ahead. Everything is fast so be prepared for less than 15 minutes most times. Parking is easy. Enjoy! read more

The service was fine but their kitchen is questionable and their food is all off in flavor. I don't know if it was just an off night but I will not be going back. The teriyaki chicken was awful. Somehow it was flavorless, dry, and slightly undercooked. The crab rangoons were bad and the fortune cookies were worse then normal. I have ordered food from here numerous times when I have been in town and it's always pretty spot on! They have fantastic bean curd tofu, and the veggies are always fresh! Steam rice is great too! Sauce is not overdone and it's always packaged safely for pick up! Always super fast too, you can order for 5 people and it will still be done in 10-15 minutes! This past time I got some veggie spring rolls fried that were quite great as well! The inside of the place is nothing to write home about but it's clean and simple so how can you really complain! Tried this place out the other night to see if there's any decent Chinese food in Auburn. The restaurant isn't real fancy but it seemed decent enough. I had the kung pao chicken dinner with appetizers and really enjoyed the food. The hot and sour soup was really good as well as the crab rangoons. I wasn't a big fan of the fried wontons but maybe it's just me. My wife said her Mongolian beef was ok but nothing special. She said the soup wasn't sour enough or something, but that it was decent. Like other reviewers stated, there seems to be at least 3 kids from the owners or something just hanging out in the front by the customers which was a little weird and annoying since no one was really watching them. Overall the food was pretty good and I'm definitely coming back for more soup and Kung pao. read more

We came here on a Saturday for lunch. My husband and his coworkers have been here a few times and they really like it. We both ordered the General Tso's chicken. Like most have said, the interior of the restaurant is nothing to write home about, but the food sure is. I'll also agree that it's odd seeing the owners young children taking orders after school but it's a family business and that's typical with this culture so get over it. The only downfall with this place is they don't have fountain drinks, just grab a can or two of coke, pepsi, whatever you want out of the fridge and pay your .75 cents each. Still the cheapest soda you'll find almost anywhere. Give Oriental Gourmet a try if you haven't, you won't regret it! read more
