The last 3 orders we have had from grapow have been really disappointing. We always order to go just due to the fact it's so super busy up there now. Having said that maybe a little more care in checking the to go orders!! First case they missed a complete meal this happened on October 3rd ... I let it go ! We were charged for it but never receive it. Two weeks later we ordered to go again and this time all the rice was missing so we had some lovely Curries for 4 people and all the rice was missing for the 4 meals ... we made do ! Tonight we ordered 3 curries and I specifically asked my daughter to ensure all meals and rice were in the bag ! Mission complete we received all orders 1 Penang curry with beef 1 red curry with beef and 1 yellow curry with chicken. Bummed they forgot to put the chicken into the curry so our daughter had yellow veggies instead. I understand your "busy" but we've been long time customers and finally loosing faith in what used to be a good establishment. read more

We've been dining there for years. The food is delicious and the staff is always nice. They also have great appetizer deals for happy hour.

Gra Pow! For sure this place will give you a WoW! I have not been here for several years, and the reunion was no surprise to the great, strike that, to the AMAZING thai food. Came for dinner and it was packed, but was seated very quickly on the restaurant side with the cool ambience lighting and mood music (fantastic mix of smooth tunes). Servers were friendly and attentive. We started with a tuna wrap which was surprising delightful. Also had amazing egg rolls served as appetizers. The main entrees ordered was the orange chicken with white rice, and talipa with brown rice. No complaints on either dishes and although our stomaches were full, we could not resist not to finish every bite! Luckily this meal was a treat, as prices are on the higher end. This is a must, especially if you enjoy a relaxed friendly atmosphere with fantastic food to delight your tastebuds and fill your belly! read more

The pad thai's not good. It's very americanized, very sweet and the sauce is too heavy. I would come here during the happy hour and get their fried calamari. Coconut ice cream and fried bananas is alright. The bananas are covered in coconut flakes and taste like coconut macaroons. This place has a pretty nice decor. read more

My girlfriend tried this place when it first opened. She said she wouldn't go there again. But after trying it several years ago, she decided she would give them another chance after seeing that they got 4 stars. We ordered takeout and ordered the crab fried rice, papaya salad with stir fried sweet soy sauce vermicelli, and thai rice soup. When we got home, we quickly tried the food. We were both pleasantly surprised. She said that the food now tastes way better than it did before. After trying it for myself, I have to say that it was good. All the dishes were tasty and delicious. It is a bit pricier than other Thai restaurants. Nonetheless, I look forward to trying their other dishes. read more

Excellent service, huge portions for lunch specials! Loads of flavor, tons of meat in the pad se eew and yellow chicken curry. Large salad and tasty dumpling included. Outdoor seating is nice and comfy with padded cushions to make sitting outside bearable but people smoke in the patio bar area next door unfortunately. Bar side has just opened with loud oldies music, not my favorite channel but everyone we saw their was in their late 40s to late 50s and it was very busy but they were still very efficient. read more

We had a pre Mother's Day dinner here on Saturday and loved it! We got there during the dinner rush (7:30ish) and had to wait but it's def worth the wait! I tried a little of everything and can honestly say everything tasted fresh and made from quality ingredients. My mom had the orange chicken, probably the best I've ever had! They can make it spicy and it had an extra kick. My BF had the Mongolian beef and enjoyed it as well. I had the salmon sashimi and tom kha shrimp soup, both very delicious! Looking forward to coming back very soon! read more

I ordered a pad thai for pick up on the phone during lunch. Something I learned today was that you have to specify whether you want to order the lunch special ($8.95, good until 3pm and comes in smaller portion) or the regular oder ($13.50). I didn't know this, so when I went to pick up my order it came out to about $15 total. They offered to fix the order but that's too much hassle. When taking orders by phone, the two options should be offered upfront to avoid leaving your customers feeling entrapped. I would've given a lower rating if this was my only experience here, but overall, Grapow's food taste good and they give generous portions. Service was never a problem. read more

Always amazing food and service!!!! And now that they've added the larger bar area finding seating isn't as bad and they added great sushi too! Some of our favorites include: Green bean chicken, cashew chicken, Tom yum soup, chicken slammers, dumplings, dragon wings, and all of the sushi. read more

I've read great reviews on Grapow for quite some time now. A friend had been there before so we decided to meet up for lunch. When we walked in, she noted they had expanded the restaurant to include what seemed like a bar/lounge. From our initial vantage point from the front door, it looked pretty nice. I wasn't able to see much more after that. I did note a funky kind of smell when we sat down though. I couldn't quite make out whether it was a floor cleaner or a table sanitizer but either way whatever it was had been applied with a sour rag or an unclean mop. It wasn't pleasant and somewhat turned my stomach. I noticed some other cleanliness issues that gave me a little bit of pause: stickiness on the menus that our server laid down on the table before we were seated, handprints covered the door leading into the restroom area and the smell I mentioned earlier. Being from the restaurant industry in my past, those types of things irk me. It's a lack of attention on the part of the front of the house staff which is pretty important since these types of the things that guests see, smell and touch. I liked that they offered lunch specials daily. Having experienced the beginning of a cold for a day already, I decided I wanted something soup like. Our server recommended their pork soup since I'm weak when it comes to spice in my food. We were eating our salads when our entrees arrived. I continued eating my salad while the smell of my soup was wafting towards me and it smelled absolutely great. Once I started in on it, all I can say is it was absolutely flavorful and it totally hit the spot; so much so once I had fished out all of the solid ingredients, I stuck my drinking straw into the broth and sipped if from there. A little shameless but it is what it is...just that tasty! We weren't quite sure who our server was since we had two young men helping us and a young woman who delivered our order. They were all friendly though. I did order a hot tea which wasn't ever delivered so that was a little disappointing but forgivable. All in all, it was a good experience. If the front of the house could improve some of the cleanliness concerns noted I would probably be back much sooner. read more

Perhaps you would not Consider this Place if you view it from the strip mall, However this Place is a gem. The Thai restaurant is clean and fresh Ingredients sets this above the rest. I eat the Tom Yum Soup often. Daily Specials are Surprising and Fresh. There is an addon with a Bar for cocktails. Dont forget to try their amazing Desserts. I went on my Birthday and was Disapointed for the Very first time at the service and food Problems. But it was aHoliday. I have been there 20x and Poor experience 1 time. I hope you get back to your roots and fix those Problems. read more

I'm going to be honest here, this was my first time at a Thai place in riverside so I was surprised when they brought up my pad thai plate with a serving that was fit for at most two people. This restaurant is overpriced for the portions they have and the food is acceptable. It's not the worst Thai food, but there is better. read more

Nothing extraordinary like everyone said. I've had better Thai food at other places. Service was really good and food came out pretty fast. However, half of it was cold and the other half was steaming hot. The rice were not properly cooked either. read more

I learned to love Japanese and Chinese food when I was a kid, and my ex-wife is Vietnamese, but this place elevates Asian food to a whole new level. The contrasts in textures and flavors in their traditional and original recipes are wonderful. We always get multiple appetizers, especially the Tuna Tar Tar (for you non-foodies, tartare means raw) and the Fantastic Four. The service has always been fast, friendly, and helpful. read more

3.5 stars. Like Albert C. said it is a Thai-fusion of P.F. Chang's. Pretty efficient service. The Pad Prik King was very good but extremely spicy. The Thai tea is fairly priced like every other Thai restaurant. read more

The food here is a little fancier than most Thai restaurants in the IE. I usually get the Roasted Duck over Rice. It takes awhile for the food to come out, but wait is well worth it. There's nothing on the lunch menu that's not good. I keep forgetting to ask what kind of salad dressing they use, but it's delicious. (I hate salad.) But despite the slow service, I give it five stars just for the quality and taste. (Probably 4 1/2) read more

Oh man, the service here is horrible! My friend and I waited to get our drink orders for 20 minutes! Another 20 to take our orders. There were employees just sitting down at the table (probably on their breaks) talking to each other which I understand but at least let the workers that aren't on break know we are trying to get their attention. All they did was look at us and looked away. The Restuarant was definitely not that busy as well. Okay end of my rant. I had the pad thai chicken and it is always amazing. I always end up getting it because it is just full of flavors. Not like any other pad thai I have had and I grew up in the Thai Restuarant business. I've also had the boat noodles, the drunken noodles, dragon fried rice and the duck entree during previous visits but nothing beats the pad Thai here. I highly recommend it. The next best thing would probably be the Dragon fried rice here if you're a rice type of person. That itself made me give the 3 stars. The customer service is a definite 0 in my book. Maybe on my next visit the employees would be more attentive. read more

I just tried the spicy garlic edimame for the first time OMG it's the best i ever had. .. they're spicy, smoky and delicious! !

Gra pow is my go to spot I love everything about this place the food is always perfect it's the best Thai food I've ever had and the reason I'm reluctant to try any other thai place everything has so much flavor exactly how Thai is supposed to be. The thai iced tea is a must as well as the calamari appetizer. Most Appetizers are five dollars until six I forget when it starts either twelve or three which is the best deal we order like five and then split them it's always enough and there fried coconut banana ice cream is another one of my faves perfect for date night and they expanded not that long ago to a bar and sushi bar which I haven't tried yet but I'm sure is just as amazing . read more

This restaurant recently expanded and now has more open seating. Has a great bar to enjoy the sport that are going on and separate from that is a more family like dining room. There are so many a great menu options and you will not go wrong with any. I will recommend there red eck noodle and the chicken pad Thai. But everything I have tasted is amazing. Be sure to get some chicken spammers as an appetizer you don't want to miss out on those. read more

Favorite Happy Hour! I love their fried calamari, wings, and thai tacos! And they always have great beers on tap.

Stay away from this place if you want to have good food!!!!!! We had heard about this place for over a year now, and somehow never got around to it. Finally we had an open date night and decided to go. This is the worst attempt at Thai food that I have had, possible the worst thai restaurant in all of the Riverside Area. First and foremost, the prices are high for that kind of food and service. Service was slow and not very neat. They did not give us enough spoons to serve our food and took about 10 minutes to bring us chopstick, our food got cold, not that it matter tastewise... The food...terrible!!! I made a mistake of ordering one of their appetizers, the tuna tartare and this was awful. It was raw tuna (fresh I'll give them that) but it ruined the entired texture and taste that they covered in this mayo-type dressing that tasted bitter and stale. Then they brough the papaya salad. NOW: I measure a thai restaurant by their papaya salad, the most famous thai dish besides noodles. The thai place over by the Riverside airport did not have thai salad because people don't order it enough so, even though I was shocked and dissapointed the food was so good there that I gave them credit for it. But Grapow has the worst papaya salad ever! It was overly sweet, not enough garlic and warm!!! I guess they served it on a hot plate. Inexcusable mistake! Then they brough some shrimp dish that was basically a packet of dry condiments for kung pao chicken modified for this dish, just terrible!!!! Chock full of MSG and good knows what. The fried rice was ok, but if they had screwed that up also I might have walked out. We decided to skip dessert for being afraid of another dissapointment. And the worst came in the end, the bill. We spent over $50 on possible the worst dinner I have ever had. I had better food at IHOP!!! I should have gone to the yardhouse and I could have at least had a good piece of steak and great beer. People, if you really like thai food (and not just cheap chinese wannabe crap), or just good food please skip this place it is not worth one cent. I cannot understand why people recommend this to anybody!! On a general note, I have not been impressed by any of the restaurants that are in the MIssion Grove plaza, the wine place has terrible food also and if the plaza is home to a chilis, I think that says it all don't you think??? read more

This place has always been a good dinner venue when my fiance and I want some quiet time on a Friday night. Waiting for seating is usually pretty short; waiting for dinner is usually longer, but when it's a Friday night and you're enjoying a glass of wine over conversations with your best friend, it's highly recommended. The service has always been great, too! read more

Ok I really like this place. It's small but has a good size bar inside so if you want to watch the game and get some really good Thai this is the place. So far everything I've had was good. Also they have a happy hour that ends at six. I like the calamari my wife like the potstickers. Service is mostly ok, but I have had not so good service. Over all price for food is good. I think it's a must try. read more

Gra Pow - Best Thai ever. Pad see ew is the best! - Thai Near Me - Riverside, California

I purchased two items for pick up early on a Saturday evening-- shrimp pad thai and a yellow shrimp curry dish. I was told it would be ready for pick up in about 20 minutes. The food was hot and ready when I got there. The dinner crowd was already starting to come in at this time amd it looked pretty busy inside. The food was very flavorful, cooked well, and the vegetables were fresh. I would have liked a few more shrimp in each order but the shrimp were large and appropriate for the price. The portions are generous and easily lasted for 3 different sittings. This is a great little local spot for fresh ingredients and flavorful meals. read more

Gra-Pow is a hidden gem in this city, and glad this restaurant is so close to my apartment. My boyfriend and I have lived in Moreno Valley/Riverside our whole lives, but just decided to come here for the first time last week. Food was great, atmosphere very nice, the only thing is the service. The hostess did about everything BUT seat people. Didn't greet the 10 people waiting by the front door, even something as simple as "ill be rite with you". You shouldn't have to wait 10minutes to be acknowledged. I have been to the restaurant twice in the past couple weeks, and both times same hostess, same thing. One server that works there is the best, you get girl, long pony tail, I need to catch her name but she is the best. Always takes care of everyone she walks by. We will return, just needs to have a little better Service in the front. read more

Came here for their lunch specials and we were all pleasantly surprised by the meal. Definitely deserved 5 out of 5 stars! My family and I have been coming here for years. They have a great happy hour and overall menu. It's awesome to have watched it grow in recent years. Their new bar side is a fun spot for a quick drink and sports- they usually have a DJ on busy nights (Friday/Satuday, I think). They could improve some on their mixed drinks and bar service. Favorite dishes are: Steamed Sumai, Red/Yellow Curry, Dragon Fried Rice, Angel Wings, Fried Calamari, Chicken Teriyaki, and Orange Chicken read more

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Riverside. The quality in food and service is excellent. I typically order the chicken Pad see ew, which is amazing! I highly recommend that dish. Their Thai iced teas are also very delicious. I would recommend going in during their lunch hour because you get their scrumptious salad on the side. I've also gone in during happy hour (night) and it's awesome, great night time atmosphere and music. Great place to eat, watch sports, drink and hang out! read more

I usually don't leave yelp reviews however I just now placed an order off the Grapow menu and the price he quoted was much higher than the menu prices On THEIR own menu. He explained to me all the prices have been raised and when I asked if he would be able to grant me the menu prices stated on their own menu he said he could not and they would rather lose out on the entire $38 dollar order rather then grant me the prices on their own menu. That's just bad customer service. read more
