The beer selection is rotating so every time you come there are new options to select from. Arrived expecting it to be busy since it's Saturday. Was pleasantly surprised by open seating in the bar for our party of 4. Our server made her way over and took our drink & appetizer orders. One appetizer came out quickly (from sushi bar). When this was dropped off we ordered more drinks as we were nearly done with them. We waited 25 min; finally had to go up to the bar to order. The bartender realized we were at a table and sent our drinks over. (Still no sign of server) Dinner orders started coming out, (from sushi bar) and dumplings finally came out. (Part of appetizer order). After 2 of our party of 4 were nearly done with their dinner, a hot meal came from Kitchen, but only one. We asked about the other meal and the young lady who brought it agreed to check. She came back and said it would be a bit longer because there was another ticket ahead of ours. (Our ticket where all food already been brought out but one). I can completely understand later orders and empty drinks when places are busy; That wasn't the case tonight. Neighboring tables received food and drinks right away and their server was attentive to ensuring a nice experience and meal. That wasn't the case with our serve Victoria. We have been going here forever. The cost is fair for the quality of the food. This afternoon we got take out and we had an issue with the card machine, it took literally 3 minutes to give the girl a receipt. Not a big deal but I was already in a hurry. Also no salads in our lunch specials. If you have ever had the salad dressing there you know that not getting the salad is a bummer. This is the only disappointment in a lot of years of eating here. The workers a friendly and helpful! My boyfriends usually gets the curry chicken and I get the pad see ew (beef) I heard the shrimp and chicken one is good too. Worst service I received from GraPow in like ever. I've been a local coming here for over 8 years. Today's service consisted of no drink refills, waiting over 45 mins for food, was never checked on to see if we wanting anything, watched waiters and waitress dance and laugh in the kitchen while still waiting for our meal. When my guest and I prepared to leave, the waiter finally came over to check on us. 45 mins after the fact. Once food arrived, it was not as fresh, as if it was sitting there for a few. Really good Thai Food ! We had attended a wedding the night before and stayed in the area. We were looking for sustenance from all the partying and Grapow Thai definitely fulfilled that! Servers were very friendly but it did take awhile for our food. In their defense they did post a sign stating to be patient due to lack of staff. And we saw that they had lots of phone orders. We ordered green Chicken Curry, chicken drunken noodles and beef fried rice ! The food was worth all the wait! They were all piping hot and full of flavor! The portions were big and we had plenty of left overs ! The curry was nice and thick and creamy not like other curries we have tried where it was watered down... the drunken noodles had plenty of veggies and chicken and full of spice ! The beef fried rice was excellent and Did not taste greasy at all ! While eating you can tell that this place is a favorite of the locals ! Great food! read more

I took my son to the restroom. I left half my curry and his FULL PLATE of orange chicken and rice. I also left my car keys. I took him to the restroom which couldn't have taken more than 3 minutes and came back to our table cleared except for the bill and my keys. Super disappointed. Food was decent (price is ridiculous, much more authentic food is around, people obviously just pay for the aesthetics). .....but really if I had left, why would I leave my keys? This is ridiculous. We've been coming here since it's inception. It was always great and I looked forward to trying something different because I knew no matter what I tried it was going to be delicious. Over the years it's changed it's chef's and menu. As always we get the steamed sumí appetizer. Wow, the meat had fat and it wasn't minced like usual. It was chunky and chewy. We returned the dish. I ordered the Yellow Chicken Curry and it looks like I got a different dish because it was more like Massuman. It was okay, but definitely not worth 18 bucks. Overall i think we've tried several times to eat here and hope all will be good, but each time now it's a bad eating experience. I really really used to like coming here, sucks now. I ordered the orange chicken which comes with rice, but I asked to substitute chow mein and there was absolutely no problem with that and no extra charge. It was fresh and delicious. My son ordered the Gra pow noodles with chicken and he said it was very good. Convenient location with a good variety, though there are cheaper options to be had if you're willing to drive further. Thai chicken tacos were tasty but I wasn't a fan of the other ones. Tuna tartare comes in a small portion but does pack quite a bit of flavor. Calamari is a hit as well. I have yet to try their noodles and curries--it's on my list for the upcoming year, but with so many local Thai food options, who knows how many places I'll be able to get to lol read more

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in riverside and my favorite restaurant in the mission Grove shopping area. The menu is huge and the food is good. They also have a really nice bar and good lunch specials. I've ordered many things ranging from curries to noodle dishes to appetizers to soups to vegetable dishes and everything is good. I wish we had more restaurants like this in mission grove! read more

So I just read the review from an actual restaurant owner and it was pretty on-point. I'm a local so all I know is that the portions are rather small for the price, and not everything is good. My experience was with the sushi. It took forever to make my food. Same with my daughter... slso sushi. I've had some good times meeting friends on the bar side so they have that going. Plenty of screens if you came to watch a game. A cool long community table where you can meet new people across from you... but back to the food... I always ask what is good and I've heard and tried the pot stickers as an appetizer, the curry chicken, and there's a soup on the bar menu... they're all ok, but just that. Nothing to avoid, but don't go if you're in a hurry or are terribly hungry. Otherwise, it's a cool place. read more

I've been there twice now and both the service and food are pretty good overall. That being said their lunch special is pretty darn small for it's price (but it was tasty I'll admit). It's Almost the same price as a regular entree depending on what you get. Overall I suggest skipping the lunch special and just order direct from the menu unless you want something light or want a small variety of food. I'd give it a 3 and 1/2 stars over 4 but since that's not an option I'll just give it four. read more

The absolute worst customer service every time I go there or order to pick up they take forever. Even ordering takeout over the phone if you give yourself 30 minutes they take an hour if you give yourself an hour. It takes an hour and a half. so I order an hour ahead of time now it's an hour and a half that I'm standing here waiting for my food !!! Asked for my money back. customer service is terrible, service is slow food is good. So if you have five hours to waste definitely come here and eat because it takes that long to seat you and feed you. Or order two hours ahead of time hopefully then your food will be ready when you pick it up. read more

Been eyeballing this place every time I go to Sprouts. Decided to give it a visit while I continue my birthday tour LOL. Although she was friendly, I was a bit peeved when the people next to me were offered a 'happy hour' menu that the server never mentioned nor provided to me.
