This cidery shares the tasting barn with an aperitif and a wine tasting business, so you can enjoy all three types of beverages while sitting on a stool (just don't fall lol) Ambiance is unpretencious, friendly and casual. I called ahead today (Saturday) to check and they were happy to send someone over for a tasting. We tried all 4 ciders and all 4 aperitifs. Very casual experience. To preface, we're not big cider fans, but we're trying to branch out to try new things. Cider flight (4oz x 3) was $15, and included gravitude, which seems to be their staple, nehou, and persimmon (which is only available in house seasonally). As we dropped by on a whim, I didn't know their ciders are dry, but the host told us that at the start. Regardless, we were pleasantly surprised by how much we liked the dry ciders. They were quite refreshing, particularly the persimmon one. You can taste the sweet persimmon undertones. Of course, we liked the one that was seasonal and only available in the tasting room! Apparently, they make other flavors in different seasons. Our host teased us with watermelon in the summer as a previous flavor, so I will eagerly await that for my next visit.

It's what definitely keeps my interest going. For ACE I had their Joker dry cider. What makes up this cider is double fermented apple juice made with champagne yeast. This creates a sparkling cider with a dry, clean taste. Fun experience all around and if given the opportunity would love to try more of their cider options in the future.

Pomme carries local ciders from Sebastopol, as well as from New York, North Carolina, Spain, etc. My friends ordered a cider flight, which is a fun option if you're having trouble deciding which cider to order. And as a tinned fish lover, I was thrilled to see such a wide assortment of colorful tins. Cider pairs well with tinned fish, so of course I had to buy a few tins and a bottle of cider to-go. ;) Overall, this is such a cute place to grab a drink. The interior is modern, yet cozy, and the bathroom is a total vibe! The guy who helped us was hilarious, and you could tell he was knowledgeable about both cider and tinned fish. They do a 5 wine tasting but we opted to just have a glass of the Zinfandel. It was fantastic. So good we had to leave with a bottle. There are picnic tables and outdoor furniture so you can enjoy your wine in the sun. We tried the cider on our way out and will likely be back for a bottle of that as well.
