There is something wrong at this location. When I hit the Cape one and Hingham, the food is great, consistent..good staff. This location is at best hit or miss. This past weekend met a few friends and we all agreed we may not be back. I started with soup they started with some sushi. My soup was like dishwater, I couldn't finish it. The other locations I usually buy some to bring home it is so flavorful. We got 3 dishes for the table to share 2 chicken dishes and one beef dish, they were all very different from anything we have had here or any of the other locations and they were all pretty bad. Hardly any vegetables and not at all fresh, meats tasted rubbery. Hardly any type of flavor at all, we had to ask for hot oil and other sauces to try to give it flavor on our own! Also the price for the quality and the amount we got was very disappointing. read more

Terrible service. People at the front were rude and texting while we waited. Then I tried delivery, the driver refused to give us change and said we had only given him a $20 and not a $50, when I called the restaurant they said there was nothing they could do. In addition, the pad thai noodles were completely stuck together and over cooked. Just awful. read more

Phenomenal sushi!!!! By far my favorite type of food and this place knows how to knock it out of the park! Love the plethora of healthy options and everything I've tried tasted incredible. Looking forward to going here much more! read more

Every so often, I tell myself I'm not going to order from here anymore. Don't get me wrong, the food is quite good, it's just kind of crazy expensive for simple Chinese food and basic sushi. But then the night hits and we don't want to cook or even wait for food. And like a phoenix rising from the ashes of takeout menus, rises Gourmet Garden. Though they tell you a half an hour, the driver is at our door in like 15 minutes. The food is hot, fresh, and unapologetically delicious. As if to say, "we knew you couldn't stay away." With our mouths full of noodles we ponder to ourselves, why have we not ordered from here in a while? What has been stopping us? But then we see the receipt and realize we just dropped 45$! Sigh. Till we meet again, Gourmet Garden read more

Average at best . Maybe it's just me but my recent opinion's on Chinese restaurants goes like this . Friday's and Saturday's are the only time to go . Any other time results in old food that is probably reheated and not cooked to order. That's what I felt liked happened at the Gourmet Garden. read more

I LOVED their food. It was seriously so good. They also have dollar oysters which was really exciting. I like that they have chinese food as well as sushi. The service was super fast, we got our food really quickly and they also have a realllllly good mai tai. It's a little bit of a pain because it's in the shopping plaza but totally worth it to deal with a little bit of traffic. I can't wait to go back! read more

Great Friendly prompt service and delicious traditional dishes. Even the sushi is good!

Nice interior and I really enjoyed eating at the hibachi table!! They give you a lot of food for your money so it's definitely worth it.

Came by for a quick lunch before the dreaded visit to Lowes - was immediately seated and served. Food came out hit and perfect!! Everything was to our liking! We were the first in so seating was wide open. I challenge anyone to say this place isn't clean! The waitresses washed yes washed not wiped down all the chairs (top to bottom) seats backs and legs! Some others washed the woodwork and shelving. And the tables were also washed and dried! There was a lot of food - beer was cold - service was great!! read more

I have been here a couple of times now and find it very inconsistent for both food and service. My last visit here both did not meet my expectations. I've also been to the Gourmet Garden in Hingham and liked the food there much much better. The service the one time I was there seemed much better also and the server really knew the menu. I have ordered the same menu item at the Wareham location 4 different times and every single time it has been different. It is a chicken item and the last time I was in was flavorless and the quality of the chicken seemed .. well not so good, like rubber bands. read more

Gourmet Garden is a fairly good Japanese/Sushi restaurant. Although they do not have the best sushi, I do have to say it is indeed pretty good. However, I am very upset that they stopped doing delivery. The food as well is very good, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic. read more

Have eaten many times at the Gourmet Garden which is usually great. However, tonight was takeout with curbside service. Other than rolls from the Japanese side of the menu which were good; the pork lo mein; chicken pad Thai and burnt akai rice were the worst I've ever had. They should be ashamed of themselves! read more

We love the GG in Falmouth, and assumed this GG would have the same high quality food. Wrong. We ordered take - out. The pu-pu platter for one was far from great. The chicken wing, chicken fingers, crab rangoon and rib bits were okay. We threw out the egg roll and fried shrimp - nasty. The ginger chicken was also a disappointment - too salty & overcooked. We'll stick to the GG in Falmouth. read more

Came by for the grand opening. My food was fresh, hot and nicely cooked. Love the decor and the service was wonderful. I will definitely be back. read more

I was driving through town with the family and decided some Chinese food would be good for dinner. I checked for reviews and saw this restaurant was recommended. The place was a hit with the family. We ordered some sushi and salt and pepper shrimp for the adults, and some crab rangoons and fried rice for the kids. The sushi was fresh and the shrimp was fried just the right amount. The kids were happy with their dishes as well. We thought the service was good, the food was good, and all in all we had a great experience. read more

We ordered sweet N sour chicken which was amazing. The crab Rangoon was really good also. The Peking ravioli was BOMB. The Crazy Maki sushi SUCKED. That was the only bad thing. The Singapore noodles are my absolute favorite and they are hard too find and they were awesome. Plus the egg roll was the best my husband ever had. Overall we will be back. read more

Second time visiting. Had the hibachi dinner. Fabulous. The place is clean and bright. Staff are very pleasant. Hibachi chef very entertaining and a great chef read more

The first time we got a delivery, this place was only open a week. The Chinese fare was amazing, fresh, light and delicious! That was a month ago. We just ordered again, and it's just as fabulous! read more

Love their salt and pepper shrimp and their sushi! Highly recommend going here for sushi and Chinese food.

Delicious tuna, salmon, yellow tail and scallop sashimi. White Mountain roll was excellent. Ambience was trendy modern with colored mood lighting. Service was pleasant. The price was average for sushi restaurants. We didn't try the chinese cuisine so I can't comment on that. I'd recommend this place based on the sashimi and rolls. read more

We haven't eaten the hibachi side of the restaurant but we've ordered take out and dine in. Prices are higher than I'd like but the quality of the food is exceptional. read more

Sushi was average, saki was sub par, and the service was atrocious. And on top of that you have the gaul to charge $9.50 for a 5 oz glass of ice with a shot of Vodka & Tonic. ?? read more

I have been here a number of times since it opened and I've not gotten anything I didn't like. Their sushi is very fresh and tasty. Their portions are enormous and always come out fresh and fast. I read a review on here that showed photos of small portions of wings, chicken fingers and lo mein. There is NO WAY those photos are genuine. Their portions are enormous. I will say, there's nothing particularly "amazing" about anything. It's typical Chinese food but it's definitely the best around. read more

Sushi was great. Service a bit slow. The drinks were terrible. Ordered a white sangria. First got a glass if red wine. Replacement was a glass with wine, champagne and an orange slice. The other drink we ordered was a pinapple cocktail. It was sub par. Glad sushi was good and had a Groupon. read more

Went there for hibachi birthday dinner and it was delicious. Good portions and prices. Hibachi was reasonably priced. They even brought a free birthday dessert with a candle for the three of us to share. Chef was interactive and nice. Great experience. In and out in an hour. Extremely clean too. read more

Tried this for the first time. Best take-out chinese food I ever had! Only problem is- my chicken and broccoli did not come with rice. Odd. Probably just an oversight. Otherwise food was great! read more

We went back for Memorial Day and absolutely loved it. Wonder why my previous Yelp review was removed! The prices are very fair and the portions are adequate enough that you will be pleased. I definitely recommend this place to all sushi lovers, you will not be disappointed! read more

What a gorgeous, clean and modern interior! Nice gem in the middle of Wareham Crossing shops, even though we weren't here for the shopping at all. Fast service, yummy cocktails, excellent flat screens at the bar to catch the 4th quarter of the Pats game. Decent prices. Definitely keeping this on our list for road trips back home along Route 495! read more

We usually get delivery because one of us has a chronic illness that makes it difficult to go out and eat. We get sent coupons all the time that say cash only so we avoid them since we pay online when we order. I was sent a $20 birthday coupon that said cash only. It did say call for a reservation but it did not state you had too. We placed a large order figuring we were going to get $20 off and did a pick up. I was told the coupon was no good because you have to eat there. It should have said dine in only. They also don't put an expiration date so I bet if you try to dine in with it they will still refuse to honor it. This will be the last time we eat here. read more

Came in wanted to try it out since we drove by and hadn't heard of it. We ordered beef teriyaki as an Appetizer, they came out hot and slightly under flavored but still pretty good. My guest ordered the Hunan Chicken which was flavored perfectly (a bit spicy) but overall delicious. I ordered the Chicken Paradise that was also very delicious and full of flavor also a bit on the spicy side. My only negative critique is they get better butter knives. I will come back but in no rush. read more

I have read the positive reviews about this establishment, and I must say I'm surprised. During half time of the Patriots game, I decided to try the "Gourmet Garden", as I had a hankering for raw fish and white rice at the same time; I thought sushi! Well, we ordered 2 rolls. Delivery please. "Your total is $29.45, and an additional $3.00 fuel charge." A little Pricey for 2 rolls, but like I said, my wish was fish. Very professional: "Here come the Men In Black." The Asian gentleman who delivered my tiny ichthyic tray, was dressed like a government agent. I gave him a $4.00 tip, and told him to tell Agent Kay I send my best. Next, I pry open the bag, to reveal one tiny tray. It's contents? 12 pieces of sushi. $37.00 for 12 pieces of sushi? Surely there's a mistake. Perhaps the rest of my order was so fresh it swam away in the back of the MIB Monocycle. My girlfriend drove to the "Secret Garden", and asked to be refunded. She informed the gentleman that the menu doesn't list how many pieces per roll. Perhaps my fault, I should have asked over the phone. They were very rude and told her there was no way they could refund because the delivery was made and we received what we ordered. So maybe I will bite into sushi heaven and these sushi pieces are worth $3.00 a piece. If not though, this place is cacca, and I wouldn't recommend. That is all. read more

1) hibachi grill was dirty when we were seated (we were first) 2) sushi ala carte i ordered had zero enhancements... sushi on a plate with some ginger and wasabi on the side. not one ounce of any color. 3) chicken was unedible... fatty and tough 4) overpriced... at least $3 more per entree than the other wareham hibachi restaurant read more

Best Chinese food ever! Not your typical chinese restaurant. You never get that wierd piece of chicken here. All the food is fresh and so gourmet. Good take out and dining in. Best service, didn't even have to wait for my drink to be refilled and they refilled it. High quality Chinese and awesome fresh sushi. Portions are large. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic date, music and atmosphere is on point. read more

We had hibachi at one of the tables, and while the cook was nice the food was so so. It was really salty. We found it extremely expensive and not a lot of food for as much as you paid. Our waitress was pretty terrible as well. read more

Tonight my family and I wanted to celebrate my niece going off to college in Florida. We had reservations for 15 at another Japanese restaurant in the area. We waited and were repeatedly told "just 10 more minutes"....for a good 40 minutes! I called the AMAZING folks at Gourmet Garden and asked how long it would be to accommodate a party of 15, their response??? "How soon can you be here?". We all jumped in our cars and zoomed over! I will NEVER go anywhere else! Every. Single. Time I go to this restaurant, I leave super happy! The food is delicious, and the staff is so friendly!! On top of that...because of the delay, one of my nieces didn't have time enjoy the hibachi experience (so staff quickly packed her meal up to go beforehand)! Everyone needs to go try this place out!!!! You won't be sorry!!! read more

If I could give this place a negative review I would. I dined there a couple days ago with my boyfriend and it was the worst experience at a restaurant I have ever had. The service was terrible. They also messed up our order and it took three of the employees to fix it. However, the worst part is that they charged my card again after I left and after the first one transaction had cleared in hopes I wouldn't notice. read more

We went last night (Saturday night) & had a nice experience. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is relaxing - surprised that it wasn't busier but it could of been the time that we went (7pm) or maybe because it was extremely muggy out & people didn't want to leave their air conditioned homes but nevertheless we did the hibachi & I really enjoyed it. We sat with another couple & it was their first time time also. The chicken was good (nothing special) the steak was a better call & the scallops and shrimp were very good. All in all we had a very positive experience - as a matter of fact we're going to bring the kids with us next week and see how they like it. Thumbs up experience !! read more

They have wonderful sushi and crab rangoon. Service is attentive and friendly. The space is clean. Nice place to have a night out.

We've eaten at this restaurant twice, but the other night we tried it for take-out. Ordered two of the "dinner specials" combination dishes at $10.25 each. Although the food was good, we were very disappointed with the small amount of food we got. It was the first time ever we did not have leftover Chinese food from take-out. Further, they offer you an appetizer for only $1 more when you order these combination dinners. Well, we got the "boneless ribs" as an appetizer, which were literally shavings of boneless ribs. read more

Let's start with takeout: First time my family bought take out, the food was underwhelming. The food was cold, the spicy food had no spice whatsoever, the sushi... my god... the shrimp tempura was JUST shrimp tempura with rice wrapped around it... no cucumbers no avacado. $12 of regret with that sushi roll... Now for my mother's birthday aka the DISASTER: The service was beyond TERRIBLE... My aunt's food was cold and lacking spice. She asked for the waitresses to take it back, the manager came over and suggested a pepper sauce to make it spicy. My aunt said she didn't want to eat cold food, adding the sauce wouldn't be the same as cooking a new plate and making it spicy this time. The manager pushed the sauce. She tried the sauce, it did nothing. THEN we finished out foods and asked for to go bags. It took them 40 mins to get us the to go bags. When mind you, we are the only family in the restaurant, other than the couple at a bar and 2 other couples at tables. The waitresses were not attentive at the least. They talked around the cashier area and then slowly took orders from other families while we had to wait for something as simple as to go bags. A 2 second job that took 40 mins.... By the time we got out bags we took out our coupons and cards, and this is where sh t really hit the fan.... The coupon was the wrong coupon, so my aunt, grandmother and mother argue that one of the waitresses should have double checked the coupon before telling us it was fine to use... My aunt paid for a $30 meal and ended up dissatisfied twice by her meal. She would have never bought the meal if she knew she couldn't use her coupon... The manager did nothing. So my mom ended up giving up her birthday coupon to calm everyone down. The waitresses take the coupon (which is meant for my aunts receipt only, we specifically told them this) and prints our receipts out 20 mins later... My aunt looks at her receipt, the coupon was supposed to take off $20 but it only took off $9. Apparently the waitresses split the coupon between our party of 5. My aunt tells them this, the waitresses take back each receipt and reprints 15 mins later. Then we finally pay. One of the waitresses forget to hand back my grandmother's card twice inbetween this exchange. A majority of my family pays cash bc we finished our food an hour ago and we just wanted to leave... The waitresses finally give us back our change and the change is wrong......... They need change for a dollar. My aunt empties her change purse on the table, makes her own change and gives it to my godmother and my family storms out. What could've been a 1hr 30min lunch turned into a 3 hr catastrophe.... 2 of those hours spent trying to pay and leave and no one taking our checks/giving us to go bags/correcting their own mistakes... which lead to more mistakes. Overall, 1/10 stars tbh... The service was bad. Waitresses are far from attentive... Food is served luke warm or cold. No refunds on food. Food is not as advertised when ordering takeout. Spicy food is not spicy, ever... Unprofessional. Incompetent. Never going back... Zen's had better service than this new chain... I gave 1 star bc the food served at the restaurant wasn't bad. It was still cold tho. Crab Rangoon was tasty too. If you want to order takeout at this place, RECONSIDER... Save yourself the regret.... And If you consider eating out at this place, good luck bruh.... read more
