Love love looove this place. It's such a vibe. The staff is great. I can't here last year for the 1st time for my bday and twice this week . Looking forward to our next visit already. This is what our table looked like today, just a starter lol.

Wow I did not take enough pictures. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because our waiter could have given us more attention. We have the meat scissors and tongs but I couldn't tell if we were able to eat yet or if we can use the tongs or not to flip the meat. I just think we could have been guided better. Chadol- you can never go wrong with chadol Pork belly - we had the thick cuts Pork galbi - saucy Free sides to order and more sides at the bar! There's a parking lot in the back.

I love the spicy pork the most! It's sweet and spicy and I really love it But I don't really like the way they serve the food. Because it's ALL YOU CAN EAT, so I would like to try more different meat, rather than just eat one thing and a lot. But they gave us too much brisket at the very beginning, so people will be very full and could not eat other meat soon. They can actually serve less, anyway it's all you can eat, people can order few more times, and we don't need to waste the food. Secondly, the room temperature is very low, except the dining area. Seems they didn't turn on the heat because they think the dining area is warm enough.

Holy moly! What a great experience! My friends and I went on a Saturday night not expecting much. We had to wait a bit, but it was because there was one server doing everything! This server was great- Dave! He was so friendly, and guided us through our entire meal! The meat portions were perfect, he grilled and cut our meal for us- what more could we ask for? The banchan were also self serve and you're welcome to grab as much as you would like. They also had soju to order. We had a terrific time there! We would definitely return if we're in the area! Thanks Dave for your hospitality and for making it amazing for us! I forgot to mention how tasty the meats were! It was even better to have someone cook for us! Everything was cooked to perfection!

All you eat spot in cliffside park. there was plenty of street parking on the Saturday I came. the quality of the food was not as good compared to the other AYCE kBBqs around the area. they do serce alcohol

All in all, I thought this place was good, but I'm sure there are better, comparable Korean bbq spots. They take care of the cooking here, so it's a good introduction to Korean bbq if you're a first timer. That said, the guys on the floor are very busy cooking for all of the tables, and so you'll have to do some cooking to prevent your food from getting burnt. Also felt like the service was a little slow because they are cooking for all of the tables. We asked to skip the pork galbi because we were getting full, but another server, who didn't hear our request, cooked it anyway instead of skipping it. So beware the multiple cooks when making requests Meats: generally under seasoned, but they provide some salt and dipping sauces on the side Seafood: well seasoned, they cook these for you last (after the meats) Sides: ok, they come out faster than the meats so you can snack on these while you wait. Wasn't a fan of their kimchi. Thought they could have let the mushroom cook a little longer

I did not have a great experience here. With so much competition with other AYCE KBBQ places in the local area - this place really score low. Charging $30 pp - it is comparable in price with other places as well. Here are some of my issues with the place: 1. Variety - limited in type of meat. There is nothing on the menu that makes this place unique either. 2. Freshness - we ordered some seafood - squid and shrimp. They were not fresh at all. 3. Grill "cleaning" - instead of just changing the grille - they decided to pour water on the grille while the meat is still on there and scrub off the char. This only cause the meat to 'steam' instead of grill and i dont feel that this is sanitary since there were still meat on there. 4. Limit on banchan - what? The best dish they have is steam egg - apparently there is a limit of 1 for the whole table. We were a party of 7. Unfortunately this establishment will not be in rotation for KBBQ.

It's definitely worth coming back on a warmer day. They don't skimp on the side dishes. My favourites are the pickled radish, spicy cucumbers and fish cake. We always get the pancakes and LA galbi short ribs. They were tender, perfectly marinated, savoury, smoky char from the grill. By the time I get to the Soon Tofu, I'm already full. I usually go with the Beef & Seafood Tofu Soup (medium spicy), and the silkiness of the tofu is unmatched. In a piping hot stone pot--cracking that raw egg in immediately is the best part.

I had no idea this place was a chain until we sat down and saw the other locations on the placemats! My cousin and I came here last night (a Sunday) around 6:30 for a comforting bite. There weren't too many people here, so we were seated right away. A few servers interchanged and took our order, refilled our tea, and took our requests with easy smiles. SGD's main attraction is their tofu stew - a customizable soup that comes serves in a literal cauldron. Being that this was SGD's specialty, we knew we had to try. I opted for the spicy beef tofu stew with hot stone rice - it came piping hot, and continued to boil for a good 15 minutes before it became drinkable. The stew has a lovely flavor and was brimming with silky tofu. The beef was a little on the skimpy side - I would have liked more, but it was still tasty. I also would have liked to have seen some mix-ins be offered with the soup - such as sesame oil, green onions, etc. - to really make the flavors pop. However, it was tasty for what it was. The addition of a fresh cracked egg and the various pickled vegetables on the side really made the meal memorable. In addition, we ordered chicken bulgogi and it was absolutely fabulous - I actually liked it better than the soup and will definitely be back here to try. This is a no-frills space for good Korean food. I can't wait to go back!

Finally got to try this place I heard so much about on a Christmas day with wife because it was…read morefrigid and we wanted a warm bowl of Korean "tang"(soup). Finding parking is quite challenging given the location on a busy commercial street, so make sure you can come earlier than meal time to have better luck. They have waiting seats OUTSIDE so yeah I suppose it's quite popular at times. 1. ATMOSPHERE (3/5) - This location is small and it's pretty straightforward place. But I still found it cozy, with decent amount of seating (I think it can handle 15-20 max) and little details like wall with wood ledges and coat hangers were a nice touch. Seating was comfortable, though we tied our down parkas around our waist as another party had hung theirs on our side of coat hangers. 2. FOOD (4/5) - We dove right in to try their famous gejang (~Korean raw crab "ceviche") and ordered two of their namesake gookbap (rice with soup) to see how they are. Here's how it went down. - Gejang (App, $20, 2/5) - I had a hunch that on a holiday perhaps I should not order this, but my craving for succulent crab flesh be damned, I went for it and unfortunately, the meat was not well-marinated as I had feared. Gejang is a dish that has to sit in the complex soy-based pickling liquid for some time... and if restaurant is too busy churning them out or if it's slow season they won't do this properly. It not only wasn't fully marinated, I think the marinade was off because the spiciness was way out of balance and was overpowering. Perhaps knowing that it didn't have enough time to marinade the kitchen put extra diced jalapenos to compensate? Because that's exactly what it tasted like - you can't fool me. I tried to salvage the dish by asking a confused-looking girl server for some sugar, but yeah, can't un-do the overpowered marinade with sprinkling of sugar. This was really unfortunate as I was looking forward to a good bite. - Ahjae Gookbap (Main, $18, 5/5) - Thankfully, their namesake gookbap was spot-on to salvage our dining. Generous slabs of succulent beef on the bone and off the bone was swimming in a hearty beef/bone broth that tasted clean and focused. Portion was good, and can I say their banchan of fish cake moochim & unfermented kimchi & ggakdugi(radish kimchi) simply ROCKS? That was some serious deliciousness and dare I say value at $18 at a day and age where hamburger costs over $10! You win at life by ordering this! 3. SERVICE (4/5) - Our server girl was attentive and food came out early on though later it was a bit hard to get her attention promptly. We found ourselves putting hands in the air, and wavin' like we don't care... for a little while. They provide gloves & metal bin for gejang which was a nice touch for people to keep their fingers clean. One thing I'd like to mention: Plastic cup they served water in was all chipped on the rim so we instead went and got water from their hot & cold water dispenser which had metal cups (as many korean restaurants do). I'd suggest them to replace all these old plastic cups with metal ones for health reasons. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal. I'd chock up the gejang mishap to it being a holiday. I hope chef was just off with the marinade that day because I am a certified gejang pro(I catch and make my own) and that balance ain't it. But I will give it another try during warmer month and we'll definitely be back to try sooyook moochim, oyster jeon & other great soup offerings.

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

From the moment we walked in, the place made a great impression. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and has a good music selection that adds to the overall vibe. There's a bar area in the front and a main dining room in the back, which gives the space a nice balance. Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Parking - Private/Street Parking Atmosphere - The space is well designed and very clean. The combination of decor, lighting, and music creates an enjoyable dining environment. Having both a bar area and a main dining space makes it feel more spacious and well thought out. Service - The staff here really stood out. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. We ended up chatting with our waiter quite a bit, and he was extremely personable. He even took a song request from me and had it played, which was a really nice and unexpected touch that made the experience feel more personal. What We Ordered - The menu covers all the classic Korean BBQ staples you'd expect, along with some less traditional options like intestines and both spicy and non spicy chorizo, which made the experience more interesting. What really sets this place apart is their use of traditional cast iron pots instead of grills, which was a big deciding factor for us and gave the food a more authentic feel. A quick tip: ask for smaller portions when ordering. The servings are very generous. We switched to smaller portions after our first round so we could try more of the menu, especially since we don't visit the area often. Standout dishes for us were the Beef bulgogi, Beef brisket, Berkshire steak, Pork jowl, and the Braised crab meat soup. Everything was flavorful and well prepared, and these are definitely must order items in our opinion. Final Thoughts - For the price, this was a fantastic dining experience. Great food, generous portions, and genuinely friendly service made it well worth the visit. I would definitely come back again if we're in the area.
