He explained that they cook for us on the grill one at a time. Pork belly which was four strips took 20mins and was cooked on the grill by itself. I asked Dave to bring out the other meats so it can be cooked at the same time as my kids were starving. He said no and there is nothing to worry about as they close at 10pm. I went to Gorilla Grill with my family to celebrate my brother's birthday, and unfortunately, it turned into a very uncomfortable experience.When we arrived, the owner asked me multiple times how many people were in our party at least three times and was slurring his words with his eyes half closed. He also kept standing extremely close to me, making me feel like I had no personal space.When my husband came in, he immediately noticed something was off and said the owner seemed drunk. The owner responded defensively, saying, "I'm not drunk if you don't like it, you can leave." This escalated the situation, and while we had initially planned to stay, the interaction made us very uneasy. My husband ended up calling the police, and we were told this kind of behavior from the owner happens regularly.It also explained why the restaurant was nearly empty. We've been here before when it was busy, but this experience makes it clear why customers may not be returning. We ended up leaving and went to Cast Iron instead, which was a completely different experience great food, drinks, and super friendly staff. I love the spicy pork the most! It's sweet and spicy and I really love it But I don't really like the way they serve the food. Because it's ALL YOU CAN EAT, so I would like to try more different meat, rather than just eat one thing and a lot. But they gave us too much brisket at the very beginning, so people will be very full and could not eat other meat soon. We had a group of 17 people and made a reservation, so we got the two big table toward the back of the restaurant. There was only one server to serve our group and he had to take care of all four grills. He was very nice and kids friendly, but we had to wait for awhile every time we asked for something. The marinated chicken was very delicious. I liked the variety selections of the meat options and the meat seemed fresh. Limited options of appetizer, but that wasn't a big deal. Everyone in the area talks about Cast Iron pot being one of the best- and yes they are really good but this place is absolutely phenomenal! The quality of the meat for a Korean AYCE is unmatched. I literally ate the best mushrooms in my life here- mouthwatering amazing What I also love is that the food is not over salted like most places are. My blood pressure is usually through the roof when I leave a place like this but here I was able to eat to my hearts content and not feel like I swallowed a bottle of salt. Also felt like the service was a little slow because they are cooking for all of the tables. We asked to skip the pork galbi because we were getting full, but another server, who didn't hear our request, cooked it anyway instead of skipping it. Charging $30 pp - it is comparable in price with other places as well. Here are some of my issues with the place: 1. Variety - limited in type of meat. There is nothing on the menu that makes this place unique either. 2. Freshness - we ordered some seafood - squid and shrimp. They were not fresh at all. 3. Grill "cleaning" - instead of just changing the grille - they decided to pour water on the grille while the meat is still on there and scrub off the char. This only cause the meat to 'steam' instead of grill and i dont feel that this is sanitary since there were still meat on there. 4. Limit on banchan - what? The best dish they have is steam egg - apparently there is a limit of 1 for the whole table. We were a party of 7. Unfortunately this establishment will not be in rotation for KBBQ. read more

I especially love the top blade steaks, Bulgogi ( marinated sliced ribeye) and top neck claims. 2. Staffs cook the meats for you so you can focus on eating and talking. 3. Good selections of buffet bars. 4. Good selections of alcohols and prices are pretty reasonable. Cons: 1. Even they have one ventilation fan above every table, the ventilation overall is still poor. Since you have to order the meats from the staffs and they bring them to your table, you can't really control the portion of the meats. They don't have anything particularly unique about it that sets it apart from the many other KBBQ places in the general area, but the place is clean and bright (don't go if you're looking for ambiance). I'm personally not a fan of seasoned meats at any kbbq establishment (that's just amateur hour, but my non Asian friends like it so it's nice to have as an option) so I'd recommend getting the ribeye, hanger steak, premium chadol, and pork belly - they give you a few dipping options which are perfect for them. The servers are polite and you never have to flag one down for your grill to be changed, and everything is served to you except for the self service rice station. Because they bring you your meat, the portions aren't generous, but it doesn't matter since you can ask for more if you have a big appetite. Your typical Korean varieties of soju and beer are on hand, and there's a time limit, but I've never had it enforced upon me and my friends. Pro Tip: ask for the corn cheese right away. If you want proper KBBQ, don't come here. Things sounded promising at first. All you can eat, at what seemed to be a too reasonable price. I had my suspicions, but didn't know why. All too soon, I had my answer. The grill simply doesn't get hot. An easy solution to stop the customer from enjoying lots of meat: don't let them cook it! The grill was so laughably cold that it took 30 minutes to cook the thinnest chadol meat. When we asked, they said the temperature could not be raised. The result was slowly braising the meat on a cold grill, which seems to have been done intentionally. As 4 hungry people, this was very disappointing. read more

I consider this spot to be a backup option if you're not keen on waiting 45- hour long wait for the best stuff in the area. After hearing there was close to a 2 hour wait, my large group and I were very conveniently accommodated at the restaurant on a Thursday evening. The restaurant is always just around a third of halfway full unlike it's more popular neighbors like Cast Iron pot and KPOT bbq. The service at this restaurant is really good, the servers are very attentive and there is a condiment bar that allows you to grab unlimited amounts of lettuce wraps, kimchi, and other things like rice. The meat quality is definitely not as well cut or as fresh as places like Cast Iron in my opinion. The meat has a more tougher, frozen taste and the cuts are a little more thicker and roughly butchered. Not a bad establishment but if you're looking for an awesome Kbbq experience, I don't think the food holds up here for the cost. Again, if customer experience is important to you -- this might be your spot. If you come here on a weekend, be prepared to run or stand in line moments before the restaurant actually opens. Serving authentic dimsum in the convenience of Northern NJ -- this location is super popular with locals. We arrived there right when they opened at 11 AM and were put on a waitlist for 40 minutes. There were all the standard dimsum options like shumai, congee, and short ribs and they were all piping hot and fresh. Dishes are priced based on the tier of the dims dish you pick up off the cart. This location is not cash only and there is street parking that is a little tricky to find on the weekends. If you're a fan of a homey bowl of congee, don't sleep on it here! This place was just alright for me. I prefer Cast Iron Grill over this place and here's why: The supposed black volcanic rock slab is too thick and the flame too small making it very slow to heat up. Once they start cooking stuff, it takes a while for the meats and other items to actually become fully cooked. The order of shrimps on my slab took over 20 minutes to cook. At around 10 minutes, our waitress welcomed us to eat them and said they were done. Upon closer inspection, the shrimps were still completely raw. They cooked for another 10-15 minutes before they were consumable. I liked that they had a bar of extra food. The jap chae and soup was good. The food at the bar is mainly fillers to get you full with rice, noodles and rice cake while the meat cooks super slowly. You can't help but eat the stuff at the bar since the meat is slowly cooked and they only bring out small portions at a time. One of the beef portions didn't look that fresh. The color had already turned to a gray. Also, the stone slab is thick and flat which means the meats cook and simmer in their own fats and come out tasting very greasy. While at Cast Iron Pot, the pan is domed allowing the grease to fall off to the sides leaving behind a tasty and juicy piece of meat. What I did like about this place was the fruit area. Nice fresh oranges and pineapples. But i didn't pay $29/pp for fruit. I have to mention that I found a huge string in the jap chae. I told one of the waitresses and she sort of shrugged it off. Took the Bowl and didn't even apologize or tell someone in the kitchen to be more careful. She just went right back to her other tables. That was a big let down. Customer service is important. Especially when there's tons of competition out there. If I ever want Korean bbq again, we are sticking with cast iron pot unless something better comes along. read more

This is the first Korean bbq spot Ive been to. Man did it hold up to the hype. For a incredibly cheap price you can eat enough meat to feed a family of four for a year. I honestly walked out probably 8 lbs heavier, so thanks for that haha. They cook everything on the table for you, and it was perfect each time. The all you can eat menu caters to all the taste buds. Whether you want fish, chicken, pork, or beef it's on the menu. My favorite thing was privy the chicken and the ribeye. They also suggest we try the cheesy corn, and I'm glad we did. To be quite honest I had high expectations especially since I've been to many kbbq spots in the area to say I was highly upset and disappointed would be an understatement. First the servers and host were super rude not a hi how are you not even a smile. We order beef bulgogi soy garlic chicken and spicy marinated chicken and the rib eye. The bulgogi was all fat barley edible and that's usually my favorite dish so it was an even bigger disappointment. The chicken was flavorless and tough and don't get me started on the rib eye it was not fresh at all it looked so old and it tasted old as well we were shocked we were even shown it raw. They checked up on us frequently to make sure we had everything we need and constantly asked if we needed more meat. They also made sure we kept the soju bottles coming haha. The food was really good as well. I'm from Los Angeles and I've had plenty of good Korean bbq and I must say that this is pretty great. They have really good steamed egg (my favorite), cheese corn, and radish paper. They also have almost all flavors of soju and a beer tower with beer and soju. Towards the end, we were only supposed to have a 2hr limit, but the server came and said we can still until they close (11pm). Food was great and service was great!
