Had another great experience with Gopher Heating. Afternoon Before Thanksgiving Day my furnace went out. I called Gopher at 1:30 PM. I asked Amanda if someone could service my furnace. She connected me to Dennis. He told me a service guy would be here within 1 Hour. Much to my surprise Dennis, the owner of Gopher, came himself to fix my dead furnace. He replaced the main Gas Valve, that opens and closes every time the furnace runs, it had failed. Not a small job, on a furnace. The Lennox failure code on the furnace pointed to either the main control PCB or the Gas Valve. He replaced the PCB First, Furnace still was Dead. He than replaced the Gas Valve, Furnace ran Perfectly. When I called for help all his Service Guys were on Service Calls, so Dennis came himself, so I wouldn't have to wait for one of them to come. This is a very Honorable Man and Company. All his people treat the Customer like Family. I bought my Furnace and A/C Unit from Gopher in 2013. This was my First Breakdown in either piece of equipment. Lennox Equipment is Excellent and runs a Long Time. If you have a Furnace, or A/C Breakdown, or need New Equipment, Call these Guys First. This company is great. On the hottest Sunday in August, our AC died. We called early Monday morning and the owner had somebody at our house by 930. Barry was friendly, helpful and competent! I've done business with Gopher Heating and Air Conditioning for two separate home projects. I could not be more satisfied with the Professionalism and Quality of their work. Add to that, the ease of working with them to plan, schedule, purchase and get the mechanicals installed and you have a top-notch business with fantastic, Customer centric service. These people are the bomb! Last winter in February, I returned from out of town to find my furnace shot (53 degrees in the house). Barry was out the next day...patched it up but warned me it was on it's last legs. Dennis came out and presented me with replacement options -- no arm twisting, no hard sell. I picked one and it was installed within the week. This year, my humidifier was shot. I sent them some pictures of the leak -- again Barry was out same day and fixed it right up. I called them by mistake when following up on previous estimate. They hadn't been there but jumped at the chance to earn my business and hustled right out that day to give me an estimate. It's a big job, well over $10k but it's complicated and in a neglected house. I haven't heard back from them in spite of multiple follow ups. I don't know if they can only handle the easy jobs and don't want to admit it, or if they just have poor customer service. Either way, if it takes them over a month to get an estimate, it's not a very good first impression. Update: And an even lower review This is their entire quote. Compared to the detailed several page quote I got from their competitor, these guys are amateurs. They may be okay for something simple but I would never trust them for a major project. Perfect - I called them for AC issue during heat wave they fixed the problem, what more can you ask for?

Horrible Service. Awful experience. I had my AC unit go out in the start of July and have been trying to get a hold of someone from the company to assist with the insurance claim to replace the unit. A month goes by as if this company is being run by one person. I was so patient and then when it came time to give the correct information to the insurance company to get the install job they rolled over and now the claim is denied. An entire MONTH later... in SUMMER. Super disappointed. Highly disgusted. DO not recommend. read more

I called Dennis at Gopher Heating & Air Conditioning last night at 6pm with an air conditioning issue, the fan in the unit had stopped working. He had John one of his technicians out first thing this morning. John found the problem (a blown capacitor) within a few minutes and was able to replace. He also showed a me a few easy ways to keep the unit running well. Very happy with the response time, level of service and quality of work. Absolutely phenomenal service! We, unfortunately, had our furnace stop working three nights before Christmas when the temperatures were dropping to single digits and lower. We were able to contact the owner, Dennis, at 9 o'clock at night due to his leaving a sticker from a previous service call and he attempted to talk us through some quick fixes, none of which were successful. He then dropped what he was doing to come out to our place to further diagnose the issue. After not having the necessary part, he had us follow him to his shop where he supplied us with a battery pack and got us scheduled for the day after Christmas for a full furnace and air conditioning replacement. Thankfully his solution worked and got us through the weekend with a warm house. Then his team came out when temperatures were below zero, got everything installed (including a new WiFi thermostat) and completed it faster than expected. Great service from beginning to end making an already difficult situation far simpler. read more

Gopher Heating & Air has been one of the best companies I have ever had do work for me. My experience with them started four years before this review. My home A/C had gone out and I called them out of the blue. Dennis (The Owner) came out within an hour and diagnosed a bad part on the AC Condenser. Repaired the AC and looked at my whole system and made me aware that due to the age of the system, because it was the original builders model, I would probably need a new complete system soon. Well, four years later and he was spot on. First Pat came out and confirmed that the system was in need of replacement and then I went on the hunt for complete system replacement from Gopher and other contractors. After all was said and done I chose Gopher to do the full replacement for many reasons. 1) Professionalism: Dennis and the whole team are some of the most professional people I have ever had do work in my house. 2) Fair: Without a doubt the most fair priced. 3) Honesty: Dennis and everyone that works there is honest and will not only give you their best opinion of what is needed but will tell you when something is not needed.
