So, my kitchen faucet decided to go berserk and I seemed to exacerbate the problem trying to "fix" it. Well, I searched and got a quote from a few companies. I'd booked with a different company, who texted at the last minute that they weren't going to be there on time. Not getting a new time, I reached out again to those who had responded. Metro had originally stated that they could come out on Friday. I didn't want to wait that long, so I got on their list to see if they'd make it out on Thursday. I was contacted a short time later that someone would be out between noon and 4. Relieved, I got back to work. It was close to 3 when the nice young man arrived. I let him in and ge went right to work. Less than 30 minutes later, he'd cleaned out and tightened everything that caused the issue. The cost was $120. A week ago we were having issues with our furnace shutting off. It turned out to be a serious safety hazard that was leaking carbon monoxide into our house. The team at Metro Heating and Cooling was able to bring someone over to diagnose the issue, then bring a team over and complete the install of a new furnace within one day, working until after 7 pm because they said they were not going to leave us without heat for a night. Didn't work on the type of furnace we have so he called in and they were able to send somebody out the next day. That guy had no problem fixing it he was use to working on this type of boiler. We had moved into our new home. We decided to have the bibs on the outside spickets replaced, they were old one of them was very rusted and wouldn't turn. So my husband called metro and set up an appt. They were here on time and the tech who did the work was very nice. He had noticed that the main water shut off was in a bad location so he wanted to move it. We agreed. Whilst doing that he ended up damaging the water softener. He was unable to fix that day so another tech came a few days later. Noticed it was unable to be fixed and the entire softener had to be replaced. They did offer a discount for one of theirs and free install. After a couple months we had the softener installed and it is working great. The softener is a bit bigger than I expected but over all nice. read more

Make sure you are completely aware of the issues you are having. Had them look at my water heater cause the pilot light kept going out. They Told me it was a bad gas valve.... Pilot light was not staying lit, its probably the thermocouple. They wanted to replace my water heater and charge me over $1000 when all we needed was a $13 thermocouple. Matt Loe obviously didn't do his job, and tried to gouge our eyes out with a ridiculous estimate for a new water heater. Didn't need a new water heater, just needed a new part. Be aware, these guys WILL Try to pull one over on you. Get a second opinion read more

My dehumidifier had been running non stop for a month and water was everywhere all over my basement due to our furnace leaking. We used metro for plumbing work -replacing a water softener and some repiping. Jesse our plumber was super helpful, patient and did a great job! He explained all the tips and tricks maintaining our new water softener. He was on time, and wore a mask and shoe cover at all times. It is tricky also bcus we are both working from home, he was respectful of that and just took care of things with minimal interruption to our work day. They were super helpful and prompt with phone contact in helping us set up the project, which was pretty big - replace 2 water heaters and furnaces with heat pumps in a duplex. I contacted 3 plumbers about flushing my hot water heater. 2 came back with bids, Metro asked how old was the unit, 2.5 years I said. He said unless you flushed the heater yearly it would do me no good. He also said he personally never flushes his heater because the 3/8th inch drain won't get all the sediment out anyway. We received a few quotes from a couple different companies and Metro had the lowest prices. A few months later, we needed our furnace replaced. Their scheduling is a bit lackluster. But I got a new water heater and softener installed at reasonable prices. Price estimates already included labor. They even did some extra work like removing a humidifier I didn't want and fixing my kitchen's water at no extra charge. This company charges $129 just to obtain an estimate to clean an evaporator coil. That is a ridiculously high fee to receive any sort of estimate to begin with, but even more ridiculous when the customer knows exactly what he needs. This company obviously does not want you to obtain estimates from other companies when they charge such a high fee themselves. read more
