The cost was $647, but I needed it fixed and it was the day before the 4th of July. So I needed it done and knew what the price was. I didn't get a receipt for the payment or the work done. That's not good, but the work was done to solve the issue.

After checking the condenser and freon amount, he said I was down 2-3 lbs. which was almost half of the amount I should have, and informed me that it would cost over 1,1000 to charge it back up and repair a minor leak in a Shrader valve. I chose to wait to do anything and was charged 250.50 for his service call, not the 99.00 I was told on the phone. I called Center Point Energy's "Home Service Plus" the next day and they also checked out the heat exchanger and found NO problems. They also informed me that my freon was NOT insufficient and that Tim's Home service was trying to sell me a new HVAC system at 13,000. I was depending on Tim's Home Service to be reliable and informative to me and they were not honest or reliable and will never have them back into my house again. Homeowners beware.
