Poorly primed/glued PVC pipe connection that leaks water/ exhaust fumes. Water is dripping from pipe fitting.

I noticed the exhaust for our furnace was dripping water. When I looked closer I could tell the leak was coming from the connection. I called Lofgren and said the exhaust from the pipes they installed in 2016 was leaking. They claimed they have no record and no responsibility for this because they could find anything on the address. Instead I got to pay $145 to get the PVC pipe repaired that was done incorrectly in the first place. They even wrote on the receipt they couldn't find evidence they did the installation! I will never trust this company to do anything. They'll take credit for good work and deny they did poor work. I wasn't the original owner, but the pipe shouldn't lose its seal in under three years if it was done correctly.

I mentioned that we didn't need an emergency visit and he fit me in his schedule for the next morning, quoting $175 for the service call. After diagnosing an electrical short in the contactor, he left to pick up a replacement part, and finished the job that same day. At no point, before or during the repair, was I given a total cost estimate outside of the initial $175 or a chance to approve the total job amount prior to completion. It was shocking, then, that the final invoice came out to $800: a $175 diagnostic fee, two hours of labor at $175/hour, and a $275 charge for a part (contactor) that retails for $50 or less. In addition, I wasn't given an invoice upon completion of the job, but rather I had to ask for it twice afterward. If any part of this review gives you pause, I'd consider taking your business elsewhere.

Of course it had to be during the summer when it is crazy hot here, so everyone in the neighborhood was booking services. One company I had come out quoted me well over five grand to install a new AC unit. I wasn't having that and started talking to our new neighbors. One of them just had their AC unit replaced last year and recommended Apple Lake. I gave them a call and found out that they could get me the same unit (just a different brand) for half as much. And no, this wasn't some cheap brand, this is Carrier. The company was founded by the guy who invented AC... Installation was a breeze (no pun intended!) and it was great working with the staff. They went above and beyond customer service to make sure we were taken care of. Finally, we have cool air back in our house and couldn't be happier with our experience.

We decided to replace our 25 year old furnace with a Carrier product. There were no gimmicks or talks from them about purchasing products we didn't need, just a first rate efficient furnace. We did some research online to determine which brands we wanted to target. A visit to the store allowed us to see the actual appliance or something close to it. Tanya let us know that if we lock in and watch the pricing, if a lower price is tagged we simply call her and she will give us the lower price. We did do this during the Labor Day sale and got several hundred dollars off our total. Our appliances were delivered without issue. We do have a panel of our oven that has a broken clip and it's in process of being replaced. We also were able to take advantage of the Dakota County energy saving rebate which I will see on my next bill. Good experience overall.

Basically, she "looked into it" and there is nothing that she can do. No refund, no nothing. She tells me- I need to work with Maytag- which I have and work with Warner's Stellian repair department- which I have. She apologized for the frustrating situation. Frustrating? Yeah, I would say more than frustrating. This is the WORST experience buying appliances/customer experience. They do not care. They have my thousands of dollars for the appliances and have washed their hands of it. I wish I would've read the yelp reviews before buying from them. We bought 3 major appliances from here years ago and had no issues. Warner's has gone downhill. I think the intent of the replies on yelp from the business owner, is to make it look like they care and are going to help, but they don't. I had to give 1 star in order to post the review. Otherwise, it would be zero or below the bar.

We looked around and read many reviews. We decided to contact Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning. They did not answer the phone right away but I received a call very quickly. I explained the situation and how we have some allergies, and they took the time to listen and go over all the details. They then recommended Steve who is the go-to guy when it comes to allergies as well as other things related. We set up an appointment with Steve, and Steve arrived early. He set up his equipment and was very mindful about making a mess as well as getting things dirty and wet. He took his time to explain as well as show me what was going on and answer all my questions. Because of allergies Steve took his time and made sure each vent was cleaned as best as possible. The things I saw in the ductwork were scary, which had built up over the years of this property. After he was done, we swapped the air filter and within 20 minutes of running, I could smell the difference in the air. The air felt lighter and did not have a heavy feel. Also, my air purifiers were not reading off the charts anymore. Steve did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend him as well as Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning. I ended up getting their Ultimate cleaning or whatever the highest one was, and compared to other places, it was cheap. The price you pay for what you get is a bargain. It ended up being $541.00 with tax and worth every penny.
