Aaron and Cole are the best! AC went down at our office during the 1st heat wave of the season and they got us up and running in a timely manner. Highly recommend them for professional service, honest pricing and quick response time. Thanks Again Guys!!! read more

Nobody really likes having to replace a furnace, but Groff helped us out and made the whole process relatively painless. Came out for an estimate, and of the four companies that gave us quotes, Groff offered the best price for the best furnace and the quickest timeline. A few days later, they came back for installation. It took about 4-5 hours including complete set up, removal of the old furnace, and some quick paperwork for a rebate. Everyone was friendly, professional, and clean. The new one works like a charm and our house is warm again. Hopefully we'll never need them for another furnace as long as we live in the home, but would use them again if needed and recommend to others. read more

AC unit stopped cooling yesterday and I called Groff - they were out today and had it fixed in no time (replaced a compressor). Will absolutely call again if needed. read more

I have used Groff Heating & Air Conditioning for my rental properties and at my own home over a dozen times. They are always quick to respond, give me a fair estimate on the work, and complete the work perfectly each time. Aaron Groff is always willing to chat with me about the issue and often can find a cheap fix that does not require new equipment being installed. However a 1990's era AC finally died, and they were able to complete the install of a new similar size unit quickly and at a great price. They are my first call whenever I have a heating or cooling issue! read more

I had four bids for a new AC unit for our home in Lakeville and went with Groff's. They stood out in every area, and I would recommend them with no reservations. Aaron Groff came out and gave me a bid within an hour after calling. He was very transparent and helpful. There was no pressure involved, and he did not try to sell me anything I did not need. I like working with small local companies like his. His bid turned out to be the most fair. His crew, George and Cole, were very informative, professional and experienced. It is nice to have installers who have worked in the business for a while and with the same company. You could tell they liked their jobs. These guys know how to do business. I would use them again. read more

THIEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THIEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't bother, told me over the phone I need a New furnace didn't even come out to look at it Had another company come and check it out cost me $50 for the part and I put it in myself! Thanks for nothing GROFF! read more

During recent cold, I called four different places for service when I had a furnace outage. Groff was the only one who could make it out the same day. Communication was excellent and the heat was back on later in the day. (Just a replacement part was needed). I will definitely call Groff the next time I need help. Highly recommended! read more

Groff's advertised a $59 coupon for an AC tune-up inspection, so I scheduled the work and one of the owners performed the tune-up. The work performed was very minimal in time, perhaps about a total of 15 minutes, and this included checking the system pressures on the compressor, thermostat, and the furnace fan motor. In the end, when I was paying the bill he disclosed to me that they don't work on heat pump systems. I feel like I just threw away $59 and didn't receive an adequate inspection. I base this review on comparing Groff to the other companies that I had previously used on a yearly basis. read more

Groffs was excellent!! I had four different HVAC companies come out and give me quotes for new furnace and AC. Groffs had the best combination of good pricing AND quality HVAC systems. They were also the only ones who didn't try to up-sell me on bogus "needs", which saved me thousands! They even fixed my old whole house humidifier instead of replacing it. They did all the work in December 2019 (6 months ago), and both furnace and AC has been working so beautifully! Their service and integrity has been top notch the whole way through. I would recommend them highly to anyone. Jennifer Webber read more

I grew up going to school with the owners. Their father was always working hard in the same business as they are now. In addition to being a family run, multi-generational business, they do great work. Their pricing is competitive. More importantly, they explain why you should purchase the system you are installing. Using quality brands is a huge factor in why we chose them to install our furnace and now our AC. Give them the opportunity to help improve your home. You will be glad you did! read more

My parents called for a appointment and someone came out the next day. Their air conditioner went out over a very hot weekend, they did them a favor to get air during the weekend. It's always a pleasure to have a (family owned) company who thinks about the customer and does what they can do. Three very friendly guys came to replace their air conditioner after the weekend. My parents were more than pleased and 100% recommend this company! read more

I had a new central air conditioner put in to replace an old failed unit. I contacted 3 companies for a quote and chose to go with Groff's Heating and Air. I am glad I did. It was nice to actually meet with the person who who be installing it and even more reassuring that he was the owner Aaron Groff. He seemed to be fair and honest. All went well and there were no surprise charges. He also used the Carrier Brand, so I feel like I got a quality product at a good price. Even better he is a licensed contractor and on the Xcel Energy Contractor list to get back the $150 rebate. He was also nice enough to do the paperwork for the warranty and rebate. Thanks Groff's Heating and Air!! read more

They installed a new furnace and AC for me last fall, great service and follow up, and better pricing then the other places I checked including Costco. Nice family run business, and I would highly recommend them! read more

Man came over to inspect our air conditioning, and found it was too frozen over for him to do anything. That's fine, we left it off to thaw, he says he'll come back later, then never gets back to us, and then when we call him, he says he can't make it back. Terrible service and we do not recommend! read more

I've called this place twice for the past 2 years. They put an ad in the local shopper for $59 ac tune up. I call them. Talk to the owner each time. They tell me they are pretty booked and that they'll call me back tomorrow to schedule an appt for me. Both times last year, I never heard back. Both times this year, never heard back. Not going this route again, they must not need my money. Don't bother calling them..they will probably never call you back. Smh. read more

Fall 2013, got quotes from 3 companies, including Groff's, to replace furnace and A/C in a house in Apple Valley the next spring as both were at the end of their useful lives. Contracted with Aaron Groff as he seemed the most honest and had decent pricing. Scheduled for last week in April for furnace and sometime early May for the A/C. Early April 2014 the furnace quit working: 30s at night and maybe 50s in the day that year. Left message for Aaron to see if we could accelerate the furnace installation. He called back in a matter of hours - from Mexico! His family was on vacation and he was concerned that I would get cold until he could get back the following week. Even offered to find another contractor for me! I assured him that I had space heaters and the house was holding about 60 so not to worry, if he could get the furnace installed when he returned. Aaron Installed new furnace within 2 days of returning. So-o-o nice to have heat again. The A/C unit went in as smoothly, on time, on budget and he worked closely with my electrician to ensure that the damaged disconnect box (thank you Siding Contractor) was replaced in a timely manner so the installation wasn't delayed. At the time, Groff's did not finance. Do not know if that has changed since 2014. Great work ethic, fair pricing and superb customer service. read more
