I was given four recommendations of vendors, and called 3 in for estimates. The estimator from perfection put me at ease instantly. He explained to me what they would be installing, how they would do it, and how it would interact with the other changes I'm having done at my house. He also responded to all of my follow up questions by phone. I felt really comfortable with him and the company, but I wanted to get all three quotes. I was surprised and pleased that they were also the cheapest quote so it was a no-brainer in selecting them. The crew showed up today to do the installation. They were quick efficient and effective. They were very polite from the start, explained to me what they were doing and asked me if I had questions throughout. They were very respectful of my property and the process took much less time than I thought it would. The fan itself seems to have been installed well. I can't get over how quiet it is. Look for a smaller family owned business…read more 2026 - That was written in 2021. i totally understand why this company has an incredibly poor rating. It's very hit and miss who you deal with. The receptionist today was very good, she is professional and competent. But yesterday when i scheduled a maintenance appointment the young man was difficult to communicate with, i think he might have been stoned? and he put the right time in the notes, but the wrong time in the scheduling software and now, getting it corrected is a day long task. i have never been able to get a technician on the phone. i guess they are too expensive, so the only way to talk to a knowledgeable person is to schedule an appointment, which apparently is a super human task. 2021 - We contracted a relatively large project. McQuillan installed a Mitsubishi Split-HVAC. They did good work and were accommodating to our needs. It was more difficult than most because siding was going up the same summer so McQuillan had to juggle some schedule, which they did generously. We had one hitch with using system early on and throwing it into conflict. Bad engineering on Mitsubishi's part, but it may be common for these split systems. Anyway, it was a minor glitch and we figured it out. McQuillan did well.
