I have not used McQuillan Home Services, but I did have an encounter with 2 of their executives after one of their employees clipped my car on a busy street then fled the scene. The hit to my car was as jarring as hitting a large pothole. Luckily, the passenger with me wrote down the license plate number and was a witness to the event. I took my car to a body shop, had the damage assessed, then I determined to just have it buffed out. I relayed that to the head of operations and the finance guy, via a conference call. The McQuillan execs agreed with the assessment, they said that they wanted to make it right, but 6 months later and counting, I still don't know what that is. This is not the type of company that I would trust to do work in my home.

Stupid moronic advertising . They probably need a computer to figure out which one is hot and which one is cold.

We just had Standard Heating do a full tear out & install of our furnace & central AC. Rick K…read more showed up to do the quote was very knowledgeable. He asked about any cold or hot spots, took a bunch of measurements, and did some calculations. We talked about our options, and he answered all of our questions thoroughly. They offered many financing options to choose from. When we agreed on an install date, Ben showed up in the morning. He explained what he was going to do per quote & got to work. He installed walking mats to protect the carpet & put in a long day. He started with the demo. We both remarked how quiet he was & we were both able to work upstairs. They pulled permits & had a separate gas guy and a couple of electricians to assist. When it was completed, they showed us what was done & how it operates. We ended up with 25 months same as cash financing & an extra year on the factory 10 yr. warranty for a total of 11 years! They left us with 3 extra filters too. The weren't the cheapest quote but we wanted someone who would be around in the future that we could count on if problems arose. I will highly recommend them to anyone that needs work. Standard is a very professional company & the installers were a pleasure to deal with! Red from Stillwater.

I have been using Standard for the past 15 years and will continue their service. Really like the furnace and ac, but today's units are so sophisticated that I have found the yearly maintenance to be very worthwhile. They have caught a couple of things on the preventative care that saved me from down time! Brad and Mike weee awesome! Good detail and explanation about what they did!

Gary Dwallibee came to my home on February 28, 2012 to diagnose my washing machine. He determined…read morethe problem to be the pump and proceeded to take twenty minutes to open the washing machine door--charge: $89.95. Gary called later that day to inform me the estimate to repair my washing machine was almost $300. This did not include the $89.95 I had already paid. He told me he would call to schedule service when the part came in. Thinking this estimate to be a wee bit high, I began to call around. I found a reputable repair shop that completed the repair for less than $150. I called Aabbott Ferraro to indicate that I had the problem solved--service no longer needed. The woman that took my call was very friendly. However, less than an hour later, Gary Dwallible called me, and he was fuming. Indignantly, Gary lectured me on cost of doing business, restocking fees and commitments. I apologized for any inconvenience I may have caused, and explained that I was not in a in a financial position to absorb a more than $200 overcharge. I indicated to Gary that the $89.95 I had already paid, for what should have a 5 minute visit, should more than cover any expenses incurred. In a huff, Gary demanded that I never call Aabbott Ferraro again. I am not sure if he thought this was ever a real possibility, or he was just venting at a former customer.
