I would not recommend Anderson Mechanical. We originally had Anderson come to our home when we were having furnace issues and water pooling around the furnace. After recently having another HVAC company inspect our system, we discovered significant rust, standing water, and damage inside the furnace. We were also given documented concerns regarding the condensate drainage/setup. We contacted Anderson (being hung up on twice) and provided photos, invoices, and the other HVAC company's findings. Anderson denied responsibility, and we have been extremely disappointed with how our concerns were handled. We are now having to replace our furnace and AC at significant expense. Based on our personal experience, I would strongly encourage others to do their research before hiring Anderson Mechanical. I personally would not use this company again or recommend them to friends or family. read more

We had a Groupon for a duct cleaning, and had them out . They scheduled in a day , and showed up on time. They were very nice guys, and were respectful of our house. They got a huge pile of pet fur , and other debris, out of our ducts. Definitely recommend them. read more

I opened a project to get my washing machine repaired. One of the other companies that responded does not repair the brand of washer that I have. I had an appointment quickly, and the gentleman came out on Friday morning. I had been given a 9 - 11 window. Since I was working from home, I wasn't too concerned. I showed him the washer in the basement and gave him as much detail as I could on what was happening. Not long after leaving him to his work, he came back up to let me know that a part was needed to repair the machine and that the cost would be $75. I was happy to hear that it wasn't going to cost me a lot to get the machine fixed or learn that I'd have to replace it. He left to get the part and had everything done a short time afterward. The total cost of the visit was $190 (there is a visit fee separate from any parts that might be needed). He ran the machine before leaving to ensure that everything was working as it should. I was quite happy to get caught up on my laundry over the weekend. If/when the dryer starts to fail, Anderson will be my first and only call. They are easy to work with, don't keep you waiting all day for them to arrive, and quickly suss out and fix any problems they find. I've worked with this company twice: once for air duct cleaning and fireplace repair, and a second time for A/C repair. I've been very pleased with the service both times. They really go above and beyond! The technicians are friendly and honest. I can trust that I'm getting a fair price, which is something I often worry about as a woman. They are knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. They are also respectful of the space and always take off their shoes while inside. I called for an estimate on replacing my automatic ice maker in my freezer. She said it was an $89 service fee to diagnose. Then whatever parts and labor would be. She said she can't give me an estimate over the phone. I know the ice maker needs to be replaced. She said they have to do their own diagnosis. That doesn't do me any good. They could come out charge $89 and up charge everything else. I don't trust someone that won't work with me. read more

Our A/C went out on the last 90 degree day and they came out same day and got it up an running. They were honest and beyond fair on their services. We have been using them for several years on our duct cleaning and always friendly and reasonable on their prices and even have replaced some parts on our furnace in the past. read more

I bought a groupon for our air duct cleaning & I am so glad we did! The crew arrived at our home right on schedule & were super friendly & informative of the process. When they came into my home I had mentioned that we had just put new flooring in the kitchen & our hardwood floors were just refinished, without even having to ask they crew immediately removed their shoes & continued on with the job. They did an amazing job & even showed me all the crud that came out of my vents (because c'mon it's disgustingly satisfying -right!?) I have already referred a friend to use this company & will continue to do so with all of my clients as well! Responding to Anderson Mechanical's comments: "We received one call from this client after servicing". - Incorrect. I called twice, and each time left a voice message. Neither call was returned. "When we were there we replace two parts that were making noises and the client agreed that those were the noises he was hearing." - Incorrect. Anderson Mechanical replaced two parts in two separate visits. If I had agreed the first part resolved the problem, I wouldn't have called Anderson a second time. After the second visit, Anderson told me that if I heard the noises again, I should contact them. This indicates that even after the second part was replaced, they were not confident they had addressed the issue. The noise is still there. "We cannot return any parts that have been installed and he was advised that the install of the parts is final." -Understood. But these parts should never have been installed. The noise is still there and Anderson did not fix the problem. I as the consumer should not have to absorb the cost for installing parts that shouldn't have been installed and were only installed because the problem wasn't correctly identified. "We were never given any paperwork that another appliance company was there." - Agreed. But Anderson also never asked for this paperwork. In my complaint to Discover, I attached an invoice from the technician the manufacturer recommended. "We have been doing Appliance Repair for over 20 years and have had many complaints of noises coming from refrigerators/appliances. And this is the first we've heard of a defect in the manufacturing." - It is not a defect in manufacturing but a sound the manufacturer considers normal. It cannot be eliminated, only mitigated. The technician recommended by the manufacturer described at length the reason for the sound and identified where it was coming from. The sound is made when the refrigerant is boiled so that it becomes a gas i.e. the "flash gas" process. It is audible because of where in the unit this reaction takes place. To prove the sound was unrelated to the evaporator fan, for example, which Anderson had replaced in their second visit, the technician disconnected that fan. The sound was still there. The technician pointed out where dampening material had been applied during the manufacturing process to help deaden the sound. He applied additional dampening material. The sound is now much less prominent, but still there. Based on how Anderson Mechanical responded when confronted with a mistake, I don't recommend them. They may do a good job most of the time, but when they're wrong they evade and don't take responsibility. read more

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! I paid them for a furnace cleaning and tune up, they came out but were only here about 15 minutes if that . said it was done but it wasn't , our furnace would not start about a week after they were here, when center point energy came out to fix it they showed me that the furnace had neither been cleaned or tuned up, all they had to do was clean it and it worked fine from there, when I called to complain about this I got an argument about it and they said it had been done, I got the feeling this happens with them all the time and they either dont care who they hire or they are a SCAM not sure which is worse! read more

This Company has the worst customer service ever. They came to clean my air ducts and service the furnace and 4 days later my furnace just stopped working. Coincidence? We called to see if they could send someone out to look at the furnace and the woman who answers the phone there has a disgusting attitude and responded to us saying they do not offer furnace repair (by the way their website states they do) she also followed up by letting us know they had photos of our furnace working before they left our home, which is odd, doesn't prove anything, and they never had consent to take photos of anything in our home. We ended up calling another company to fix our furnace and the service repair gut told us that the part that was broken, was actually broken from something being dropped on it when the vent was opened up for cleaning/ servicing. Keep in mind on the website they also offer a 30 day guarantee that they did not honor. Stay away from this company don't let them come near your furnace or appliance you will end up spending way more money in the long run due to the carelessness of their technicians. read more

When we purchased our first home, my husband and I wanted to begin homeownership with a fresh and clean house. We hired AAA Anderson to clean our wood-burning fireplace, furnace/ducts/AC, and dryer vents and we could not be more pleased with their service! They arrived on time and did a fantastic job of removing the dust and grime that had accumulated over the years. In total, we paid just under $250 for everything - very reasonable and money well spent based on the results. Our fireplace looks brand new now and within hours after they left, both JP and I could tell that our house just smelled cleaner. If I could give minus stars I would. Used this so called company to clean my dryer vent, guy assured me that dryer vent was all cleaned. After continued problems and thinking my dryer was malfunctioning I had Xcel HomeSmart (excellent service) come out and they ran dryer without vent and low and behold my dryer was running like new which it is. He pulled off vent to wall to see that there was a total blockage. Clearly they didn't clean vent. I should have watched them but foolishly I trusted them. When I called to tell them they told me I should have called sooner now they would charge me to come out again. What a joke. Why would I pay for them to do another crappy job. Obviously they think their shitty service is acceptable and one customer won't make a difference. That's the problem now days. One customer lost is one customer too many. I will use another company and watch them this time. read more

We purchased a duct cleaning package. I looked around quite a bit as reviews for many of their competitors in the MSP area warned of hard upsells or additional fees that weren't obvious from their advertisements or "deal" sites. This company went up to 2,500 square feet and they did not ask for any additional fees/surcharges/taxes/etc for the duct cleaning or do any hard sells on other products. They did offer to clean my fireplace for a modest fee which I accepted since it needed it and for that price it wasn't worth my time to try to figure out how to do it myself. Everything looks good and clean. They offered to take their shoes off when they came in and were both polite. Their van was unmarked, which seemed odd to me. When I called they were booked for most of the slots that worked for me for the next week but I did get in an ideal time slot the following week. They showed up right at the beginning of the three hour window and gave me a call 20 minutes before showing up to let me know they were on their way. read more

Came "clean" my fireplace and told me I needed a part and said they replaced it. The fireplace didn't work after they left. They scratched the paint in many places and left grease on the carpet. When I had another company come out to figure out what was wrong, they told me the part that AAA said they had replaced was original to the fireplace. When I tried to talk to John about this he started leaving me weird text and said I was lying. They have a high rating on Angie's list because they write their own 5-star reviews - take a look...it's obvious. I had a really bad experience. John and Chris just left my house and I have heat again on one of the coldest days of the year. I contacted other companies that wouldn't be able to even look at my furnace for days, some even weeks. I requested a quote from AAA Anderson's Appliance, John, the owner, responded within a half hour with a reasonable price. He said he could make an appointment for me today and he was at my house at the time he said he would be. They checked out my furnace, determined what the issue was and gave me a final quote to fix the issue. They had to go pick up the part and came right back, had it installed in minutes and I had heat again within 5 hours of my initial contact. John and Chris did an excellent job, they were friendly, punctual and true to their word. I stand by my review after reading the pack of lies he replied with. I only wanted to alert the public about this company as we live in a world where there is no more customer service. As an honest retired State Employee I feel my opinion serves the public well. The public has to know the types of company's they are dealing with, especially when it comes to home repairs. Beware! We requested this company come out to clean our dryer vent. While there, they said our AC needed cleaning and maintenance. We agreed. Kill two birds with one stone, right? They said we needed Refrigerant which was agreed to and they added for a cost of about $200. After they left, the air conditioner stopped working. We had a service plan with another company so we called them and they came out and after a couple of visits we learned that the refrigerant added was not needed and way too much which caused the problem shutting off the functioning of the air-conditioner. So after a week of going back-and-forth we finally had someone take out the extra refrigerant and re-restarted the air conditioner. We went without air conditioning for over a week in the heat of the summer. In our minds this was very much and issue of Incompetence by the technicians that were supposedly cleaning our air conditioner which was working fine before they came. We consulted with management about getting reimbursed for the fees that they charged and we paid which were not necessary and we were denied. We felt very much like this was a scam operation and that they were doing service to the AC that was not needed, and or the technicians were just very incompetent. They were not even willing to negotiate on a compromise with the amount of money we paid out to them. So we end up paying a fair amount of money to them as well as to another company to fix their error. I would never recommend this company due to incompetence as well as very poor customer service. They had an opportunity to fix the problem and they chose not to. read more
