UPDATE (July 9, 2025): After posting the review below, the…read morebusiness owner escalated the situation by leaving a 1-star Google review on the page of my employer -- a completely unrelated business. In that review, he made false claims about my conduct and advised others not to hire me. I have never contacted this person outside of leaving public reviews, and I have blocked all further contact. This action appears retaliatory and inappropriate. I have reported it to the Better Business Bureau, the Minnesota Attorney General's Office, and the FTC. I stand by the review below, which reflects my honest experience as a prospective customer. [Updated to address owner's response and clarify timeline.] I reached out to this business via their website to get the air ducts cleaned in my duplex. After submitting their contact form, I was quickly texted and asked to send pictures and videos of both furnaces, which I did promptly and completely. They confirmed receipt and said they'd send a prep list, then communication abruptly stopped. Over 25 hours passed with no follow-up, so I sent a text asking for an update. I received no reply. At that point, I reasonably concluded they were no longer interested and chose to leave a review to reflect my experience. Immediately as I was submitting the review, I received a phone call from them -- too late, as I had already hired someone else. I did not answer. They then sent a text acknowledging they had just seen my follow-up. Rather than take responsibility, the business replied to my review publicly and posted my full legal name (including my middle name) -- which does not appear on my public Google profile and which I never gave them permission to share. This is a clear privacy violation and feels like retaliation. They also imply that I'm unreasonable or dishonest by telling others to "click my name and see the type of reviews he leaves." I welcome anyone to do so -- over half my reviews are positive 5-star feedback, and any criticism I've posted is respectful and factual. This kind of response is unprofessional and borders on gaslighting. This review reflects my honest experience: I was responsive, patient, and gave them a fair chance. The poor communication and inappropriate public reply speak for themselves.

I do all forms of…read moreconstruction and know what to look for and am extremely critical of anyone that touches my house. Dean and Scott are great people and they did one of the finest jobs I have ever seen installing a new HVAC system as well as a sealed combustion garage heater. Everything was done meticulously and to much higher standards than is required by the building code. They took many extra steps voluntarily way beyond any other contractor I have seen to make this a 100% perfect installation. For example, many HVAC contractors would come in and just swap out the units, these guys on the other hand, spent the time to clean up the gas lines in my mechanical room, they labeled everything, used higher quality parts than required and paid a lot of attention to detail. They don't just swap out heating and air units, if they see something existing that is not right they fix it while they are in there. They also custom bent some ducts because I wanted my furnace moved over 2 feet. I work with sheetmetal and I have seen plenty of bend jobs by HVAC contractors, but Dean's man Scott is the finest tinman I ever seen - the sheetmetal ductwork is nothing short of artwork and the precision of it really impressed me. These contractors represent the finest of workmanship, they are also just really nice guys that you enjoy talking to and can trust and since they will be in your house a lot working, this is very important. I am also a licensed auto A/C technician and have installed home HVAC systems in the past myself, so I know what I am looked at when I rate their work as the highest quality. Now, there is one other major company in my area south of Minneapolis whom I will not name, but they have a lot of good reviews and they are a great company from as much as I can tell. They gave me a quote which was very good, but would not do several things that I wanted done, which the Prior Lake guys were more than happy to do. I am not saying that Dean's competitors are not good, I'm just making the point that Dean will take the extra steps that the other contractor's that bid for me would not, so in my experience there really isn't any good reason for me to consider someone else. I highly recommend that anyone use them for all of your HVAC needs. I did find them from several word of mouth recommendations and from neighbors. If you want the highest quality job at the best price from good, honest people then Prior Lake HVAC should be seriously considered. Here is one last update: We did permit this work and the county building inspector recently inspected the job and signed off on everything to code and commented on the high quality workmanship and attention to details.

She connected me to Dennis. He told me a service guy would be here within 1 Hour. Much to my surprise Dennis, the owner of Gopher, came himself to fix my dead furnace. He replaced the main Gas Valve, that opens and closes every time the furnace runs, it had failed. Not a small job, on a furnace. The Lennox failure code on the furnace pointed to either the main control PCB or the Gas Valve. He replaced the PCB First, Furnace still was Dead. He than replaced the Gas Valve, Furnace ran Perfectly. When I called for help all his Service Guys were on Service Calls, so Dennis came himself, so I wouldn't have to wait for one of them to come. This is a very Honorable Man and Company. All his people treat the Customer like Family. I bought my Furnace and A/C Unit from Gopher in 2013. This was my First Breakdown in either piece of equipment. Lennox Equipment is Excellent and runs a Long Time. If you have a Furnace, or A/C Breakdown, or need New Equipment, Call these Guys First. They Will Take Good Care Of You For A Fair Price!

We looked around and read many reviews. We decided to contact Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning. They did not answer the phone right away but I received a call very quickly. I explained the situation and how we have some allergies, and they took the time to listen and go over all the details. They then recommended Steve who is the go-to guy when it comes to allergies as well as other things related. We set up an appointment with Steve, and Steve arrived early. He set up his equipment and was very mindful about making a mess as well as getting things dirty and wet. He took his time to explain as well as show me what was going on and answer all my questions. Because of allergies Steve took his time and made sure each vent was cleaned as best as possible. The things I saw in the ductwork were scary, which had built up over the years of this property. After he was done, we swapped the air filter and within 20 minutes of running, I could smell the difference in the air. The air felt lighter and did not have a heavy feel. Also, my air purifiers were not reading off the charts anymore. Steve did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend him as well as Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning. I ended up getting their Ultimate cleaning or whatever the highest one was, and compared to other places, it was cheap. The price you pay for what you get is a bargain. It ended up being $541.00 with tax and worth every penny.

My claim was declined. The insurance company required unrealistic things like a photo of the space prior to incident showing the hose in place. Who takes pictures of their furnace? This resulted in a costly last-minute repair to my ceiling. Essentially this means that you are at the mercy of a potential crappy insurance policy carried by the contractor and that the owner takes no personal responsibility for potential damage.
