There is always a first for everyone and this is the first for me. I have a question for Mike. Did I say something to upset or offend you the last time I took my bikes to you for service? Why do I ask? I ask because I the last time I took my bikes to you for service, one of service requests I made was to replace the rim tape on both wheels on the Pivot bike. I just went to replace the tires and to my surprise, the same damaged tape is on both wheels. Not only were you not able to diagnosis the front brake problem (which ended up being a bad rotor), you never replaced the tape which begs the question, what exactly did you do and what did I pay for? A simple clean and shine? I'm very disappointed. Needless to say, we have no plans of taking our bikes to you for service in the future. read more

I just found myself a new bike mechanic Mike. I had issue with my disc brakes. I went to four bike shops location today and was unable to get appointment. Everywhere it's about 3 to 4 week to get appointment from the Coronavirus. Mike took me in and got it done within half an hour. Greatest service I'm very happy that I met him. I'm able to get my bike back the same day. He even gave me a quick check to make sure everything was running good. Mike is an excellent mechanic! He came highly recommended by a friend who's extremely picky. My rear shock blew out on a trail and I made an appointment with Mike. He fixed my shock carefully and properly in his shop which is awesome because I didn't have to wait a week plus for Fox to fix it. He checked every part of my bike and tightened everything up to the proper torque specifications. So glad I don't have to send stuff to fox and wait a week when he can get it done in a day or two depending on his work load. Mike is very careful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend GooseWorks. I met Mike when he was set up at my neighbors. I was in need of a tune up on my bike that was stored for years. He was super pleasant and asked me to send him a picture of the bike. As soon as I sent the pic he got back to me with comments and a general estimate and offered to come look at it. He came by yesterday to see it and after accessing it he actually brought down the estimate based on the condition and said he could do it right then and have it done within the hour. So I know have a beautiful new looking bike again. He adjusted the spokes, wheels, etc. It was so convenient not to have to load my bike into my car and then have to go pick it up. My husband and i were both in need of our yearly maintenance and were so impressed by him that we left both our bikes with him and made the long drive out from our home in Perris to get them the next day. I would give a 100 out of 100 if that was an option. Mike from GooseWorks is AMAZING. Being a female and not super knowledgeable about bikes was intimidating for me. Mike not only helped me purchase my new bike, he has helped keep it tuned and in great shape. Each time mike works on my bike, he explains the process and breaks it down for me to understand. I was in need of a fork rebuild on my Rock Shox fork. I saw Mike's trailer in the JPL parking lot one day while out on my road bike. Decided to stop and ask Mike if this was a service he offered. Turns out it is one of his specialties. Mike ordered the needed seals and then contacted me. I dropped the fork off on a Saturday and had it back on a Monday. GooseWorks was a great choice for a tune-up on my old bike. Mike is truly a great bike mechanic and subject matter expert. I think he has been working with bikes all his life. I have had work done previously on my bike by a much more expensive bike shop and Mike did a much better job this time when I needed adjustments. I have 15 gears and the expensive bike shop guys never let the very low gears work together without the chain falling off. Mike got the whole setup working 100% for much less than I paid at the bike shop. Additionally, he has a cool looking workshop that doubles as a mountain bike history museum and he can tell you very interesting stuff about bicycle technology as it relates to your bike.
