I initially just needed the seat raised and the handlebars adjusted, but it turned out the chain was incredibly loose, the tubes were probably at least 10 years old, and there were a handful of other things that needed attention. I worked with Joe, who was absolutely fantastic. He was genuinely excited about the bike and eager to help. He even brought me outside, watched how I was riding, and made adjustments on the spot. After that, we brought the bike inside so they could take a closer look and handle the bigger fixes. They really took their time to make sure everything was dialed in perfectly. Joe also noticed I had a women's seat on the bike, which is fine, but as a man it wasn't the best fit. I appreciated that they paid attention to details like that. They were also very mindful of my budget and made sure we didn't overspend while still getting everything safe and road ready. Ben handled the tube replacement and did a great job. It truly felt like a team effort to make sure my bike was not only running well but completely safe. They even threw in a free water bottle holder and installed it because it was hot out! I ended up grabbing the sickest Grateful Dead inspired water bottle and filled up while I was there, the ride home was so much less intense because of that. My family and I have been going to Around the Cycle for years and have bought multiple bikes from them. Every experience has been excellent. It's clear this is a tight knit group that genuinely cares about their customers. This isn't some corporate chain. It's exactly what you'd hope every neighborhood shop would be like. Anytime anyone I know needs anything bike related, I send them to Around the Cycle without hesitation. They're simply the best. Huge shout out to Joe and Ben for the amazing service and going above and beyond. They will have my business for life!

The cheapest bike I saw was $900 with the most expensive being $14,000. The people working here are incredibly pretentious and rather underwhelming. I feel as if the driving revenue force behind this store are the deep pockets of Pasadena and the workers don't care or respect anyone else. I went somewhere else that encouraged me to repair my bike, and not buy a new one. I paid $200 for the same repair that Incycle quoted me $500-$600 for. I would sincerely avoid coming here and to look elsewhere for your cycling needs, unless you prefer paying exorbitant prices with a side of bad attitude.

He delivered the scooter to Granada Hills at 8 pm and later came to Reseda to my house to pick it up. Neither place was convenient nor close to his location. And all at no additional charge. It was one of my most cherished possessions. Until it burned along with my house in the Altadena fire. Devastated, I was lucky to find one just like it on eBay along with another vintage Stingray. They arrived in pieces, in huge shipping boxes. Now it was just a matter of finding someone who could assemble them. I found Eli who arrived and in my driveway with his mobile set-up, accomplished the mission! I plan to put the burned out skeleton of my original Stingray (salvaged from the ashes) on the wall with the two that Eli assembled as art in my rebuilt home. I can highly recommend Eli. The bike had been installed with a generic 8-speed freewheel -- a part he quickly found (through Gemini) was known to fail so often that Shimano doesn't even manufacture them anymore. He recommended switching to a more reliable 7-speed setup instead. Problem diagnosed and solved with total clarity. Best part? He had all the parts with him and did the entire repair right in my garage driveway. He also tuned up my REI Co-Op gravel bike -- new chain, replaced the shifter cable, adjusted the brakes -- and now it feels brand new. Honestly, both bikes ride like they just came off the showroom floor. Chris is a great communicator, provides solid paperwork with clear estimates and a detailed final invoice, and clearly has deep mechanical knowledge. When you learn he's a Hall of Fame BMX'er and that his grandfather worked on massive Caterpillar mining machinery, it all makes sense -- bikes and machines are in his DNA.
