Our favorite local bike shop where personal and friendly service befall you. Today we brought both our bikes over to replace a tire and an overall check up. The owner stopped work on other bikes to come n look over ours, didn't need a new tire just an adjustment and we were out the door in only ten minutes and no charge for the inspection/look over of our bikes. I so appreciate this business mantra that the owner has maintained since he bought the shop from Bicycle John's. Love my friendly neighborhood bike shop! Let's Ride is a convenient stop-in for tune ups and flat tires. They're friendly, clear about the service ETA, and very fast with fixing flats. And the services don't break the bank for pedestrian riders such as myself. And I love that everyone in the greater Magnolia Park area is such a fan - the first time I went to Let's Ride was after running over a nail in my neighborhood. I walked my bike past multiple people who inquired as to why I was walking a bike and if I was okay -- and they recommended Let's Ride -- to which I got to say, "that's where I'm walking!" Flats are a $10 fix (at least on my basic cruiser) and on my same basic cruiser (single-speed), my tune up was $65. I love the attitudes of the employees. It's a very neighborhood-feel place, as it should be in Magnolia Park. Highly recommend! read more

I visited Let's Ride Cyclery because I was dealing with an unusual noise that occurred at high speeds. Since I'd never encountered this type of issue before, I went to three different bike shops to get multiple opinions. That's when I met Michael, a tall, thin guy with an impressive mustache and a hat. I described the problem to him--an intermittent noise from the rear hub when coasting downhill--and he explained that they'd need to keep the bike for a couple of days to diagnose the issue. When I returned, Michael informed me that the problem was a complete overhaul needed on the rear hub, part of my Mavic Ksyrium wheelset. He explained that Mavic rear hubs require regular cleaning to avoid something known as the "Mavic death squeal" (which you can hear in the attached video). Michael took the time to educate me on the issue, and I left the shop with my bike performing perfectly--no more noise! Overall, this is a great shop with knowledgeable staff. My only complaint is that Michael's customer service skills could use some improvement, but when it comes to bikes, he definitely knows his stuff. 4/5 stars. read more

I got my bike tuned up here last summer and they did a great job. The guy I talked to when I dropped off my bike was super helpful and patient. I had a lot of questions because there was a whole thing with the warranty where the company I bought the bike from was going to cover the cost, but only AFTER getting some documentation from the bike shop about the nature of the repair. The rep I spoke to was super helpful and provided me everything I needed. I also am super new to biking so there is a lot I don't know, and the rep was super encouraging and educational. He never made me feel dumb, which I loved! However, the sales rep working when I picked up my bike was rude, condescending, and unhelpful. He didn't know the answer to any of my questions, so I had to call the store at a time when the original guy was working to get what I needed. He also made me feel dumb for not knowing a lot about bikes. It was a night and day experience between the drop off and pick up. All in all, I would go back because they fixed my bike nicely, were reasonably priced, and that first guy was fantastic. However, I would probably try and figure out that guy's name and hours so I could make sure to drop off and pick up my bike at a time when he was working. read more

This guy was a jerk, and a very smug one at that.If he would have done a good job in his service, I would have maybe excused his behavior. But he didn't. A simple job like replacing the cassette and putting on a chain, having the wheel tried and inspected, he couldn't even do. I was riding today and I felt that the chain wasn't catching. It's a good thing I stopped because the chain would have snapped. This guy is really hard to recommend, unless you absolutely love rude people and get absolutely no return in quality for the price you pay. This man just wants to milk you for your money and nothing else. Just go to Stotts. They do a much better job at a lower price, they have more employees, and they have free group rides on Sunday, Monday , Wednesday, and Friday. Just do yourself a favor and save the cash for someone who actually does a good job. If I could give 0.01 Stars on Yelp, I would do it without hesitation. read more

Ok Michael's bicycle shop LRC is a great well-organized place to bring your bicycle for service or upgrading so bring yours in. Or go buy a new / used one, many to choose from. It's neat and tidy in there, a big plus with a good selection of cycling related items; he was the only one around who had the right 105 brake pads for mine. Michael has many years of experience, his work-space has all the advanced equipment, well-organized his prices are extremely reasonable so this the place to go. read more

I know bike repair shops are backed up. I called 2 weeks ago and asked about the turnaround time and they said about 1.5 weeks. What makes this shop different is they said I could make an appointment, bring my bike in that day, and have a same day turnaround which I thought was genius. This place has become my favorite bike shop. They are so friendly and knowledgeable and really seem to care about their customers. I have a very unusual bike (It's a riding elliptical) and throughout the years, I've taken it to a few other bike shops in the area and was always treated as if it was a giant pain in the butt to put on new tires or accessories. One shop even got upset that I didn't call first when I took it in for tires even though there was not a policy about doing so. Frankly, those other places won't ever get my business again. Let's Ride Cyclery has been the exact opposite experience for me. I called today and was told to bring my bike in as I needed three new tires. Within about 2 hours, I got a call back and was told my bike was ready! They even found a spoke that had come undone and fixed it for me. There are two guys named Mike that work there and they both are great. I highly recommend this shop. It's really the best shop in the area (trust me, I've been to many). Occupying the space formerly occupied by Bicycle John's in Burbank, LRC had some pretty big shoes to fill. But Let's Ride has managed to fill them and even make improvements, with a more complete line of accessories - tubes, inflators, bottles, chain lube, etc. Also, a great selection of Smith sunglasses - IMO, the only brand to consider for price/performance. Stock of high-end bikes is limited, but let's face it - they're a losing proposition for independent bike shops. Upstairs, LRC has an impressive selection of hybrids and starter mountain bikes, and staff went out of their way to help. Definitely my #1 stop in the Valley for accessories - the stuff you need when you don't have the time, or inclination, to wait for Amazon. read more

I have been in Burbank for over 25 year as a business owner. I have to recognize let's ride cyclery for their very friendly and professional service. It was a Saturday that I had planned on taking my bike to the beach and ride. Before going, I decided to change my brake rotor. Screws were stripped. The shop was very crowded at the time I arrived. but I was told that my issue could be taken care of and that allowed me to be able to continue with my days plan. So far, haven't had mich luck. Had my Specialized tuned up back in November and within a couple weeks, having not ridden it beyond riding back from shop, both new tire tubes were flat. My son took his bike in to get new tubes in January and the back one was flat within a couple weeks as well. Somewhat suspicious on the quality/ age of tubes they are using. That being said, they replaced my son's grips and fixed the brake alignment for a decent price. read more
