    Spicy Tuna Roll
    Shannon W.

Oh goodness.... So good!!! It was my first time eating here. I had the tuna tower sushi. Solved all the problems I've had with trying to delicately fit a while sushi piece in my mouth without it falling apart and it was super yummy!! Staff was so kind and attentive and prices were very reasonable. Place was clean too. We'll definitely be back

This is a local, family-owned business that I would gladly recommend to try! There aren't many decent Asian food options in the Springville/Spanish Fork area, I was so happy to find Goong! Every time I've come through, they've been quite busy, I'm so happy that others are also taking a liking to Korean food. The menu is quite extensive and ranges from sushi to Korean BBQ. I bookmarked Goong specifically for KBBQ. And they do not disappoint! In fact I love how accommodating and helpful they are! The gentleman assists in the KBBQ cooking and offers suggestions on how to season it. I'm no KBBQ virgin, but I appreciate it when he comes by to help me out. The banchan are also fantastic. Service is awesome! They come by regularly to fill water and check on everyone. I would definitely come here when I'm in the area!

Nice little Korean spot in Springville. They have kbbq and sushi. I went there for the oxtail soup. It came out bubbling hot! The meat was melt off the bone tender. It was really sweet though, too sweet for my taste in a savory dish, especially a broth. I also got the bulgogi bibimbap. I loved it because it came with so many vegetables and banchan.

Stopped here on the way out of town and it was the best decision ever. Fairly small restaurant but the food and service was top notch and completely unexpected. Appears to be family run. We were seated right away on a Friday evening for early dinner, but it quickly filled up. Seating area consists of multiple private booths which was nice. You have the option to grill your own meat at your seat or order from the various Japanese and Korean dishes. The variety was great and quality for the price was spectacular. We ordered a beef bento box, a Kim chi soup and a the gangdam roll which was wrapped in cucumber and so refreshing. The food came with three ban chan which consisted of Kim chi, pickled cucumbers and bean sprouts. They were all delicious and the perfect crunchy accompaniment. The bento box was a big helping of beef and sauteed onions over warm rice, a California roll, fried gyoza, cabbage salad, miso soup and an egg roll. My husband's Kim chi soup wasn't the most authentic tasting he said but his nonetheless. Service was quick and friendly and we left satiated and happy. They also offer amazing lunch and dinner specials throughout the week.

Lunch here is a no brainer. AMAZING value, quick service, and top tier quality. We did the BBQ lunch for two and it was great. Got to pick ANY sushi roll to share - wasn't constrained to the cheap options, which was awesome. The meat turned out great and it was a memorable experience for my buddy and I.

I went this restaurant twice. They are closed last two times due to family reason. I went there today, I so glad that I made the choice. The food is so authentic. The owner lady is super nice. Wlll definitely come back again. I will give them 5 star review!

Came in for a quick lunch and Goong has a great lunch specials. Select roll served with 2 potstickers and a drink for $10! I chose the lucky roll today, it was fresh and delicious. Our table was very clean as was all utensils and plates. Our waitress was very friendly and informative. We will definitely be back.

Truly authentic Korean food. The portions are insane. Far more food the. You could possibly eat and it's all amazing!!! The owners are incredibly hospitable. This place is a hidden gem!

This was restaurant was amazing. We went for my wife's birthday and were treated like family. The food was amazing and the service was the best I have gotten at any restaurant I've been to in years. It was a smaller restaurant so the atmosphere was quiet and friendly. We will definitely make the drive from Salt Lake City many more times to enjoy the food and conversation with the owners.

Wow. I rarely ever make yelp reviews, but I just had to for Goong. On the way to Yellowstone with my friends on a long 8 hour drive we were looking for a place to grab dinner. Goong was nearby but we saw it was closing in 30 minutes, so we called in to check if it was okay to come in and possibly stay after closing. A nice korean lady, (I think the owner), answered and she ushered us to come in regardless. When we came and sat down, she showed so much hospitality and was so nice. I ordered the chicken bento box and I have to say food is even better, better than the korean barbecues in California. Highly highly recommend. Side note: We also liked the music that was playing.

I'm a fan! They charge per plate. While it ends up costing about as much as you'd get at other…read moresushi restaurants, there's something fun about being able to pick what you want as it cruises on by on the conveyer belts. We do like to order some fresh though. Would recommend the aburi salmons (regular, spicy and cheese). My favorite is the spicy. It's usually pretty crowded. It's in a great location by the theater and other eats. The service can sometimes be a little lacking as we didn't see our server to take our drink order until about 15 minutes in and he only checked on us one more time. You're mostly self sufficient here though. All the rest are good and would recommend just getting whatever looks good to you!

My girlfriend and I visited Tsubame Rotating Sushi mainly because we loved the idea of a conveyor…read morebelt sushi restaurant. The concept is genuinely fun, and it's probably the biggest reason to visit. Every plate costs the same ($3.59), making it easy to try a variety of items without worrying about different prices. The restaurant is clean, the seating is comfortable, and the staff was friendly throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the experience. We tried most of the sushi rolls that came by, and the biggest issue was the rice. Since sushi is my favorite food, I pay close attention to the quality of the rice, and this was by far the weakest part of the meal. It was overly soft, sticky, and overcooked, giving many of the rolls an unpleasant texture. The fish itself tasted fresh, which I appreciated, but the rice overpowered the entire experience. We also ordered the takoyaki, and it was disappointing. The outside was thick, while the inside felt undercooked and almost mushy. The amount of octopus was reasonable, but the texture kept us from enjoying it. For dessert, we tried the Nutella fried takoyaki. The ice cream and whipped cream were perfectly fine, but the fried dough itself was thick and dry inside. It wasn't a bad dessert, but it wasn't memorable either. Overall, I think Tsubame is worth visiting once for the experience. Watching the sushi rotate around the restaurant is fun, especially if you've never been to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant before. However, if you're looking for outstanding sushi, there are much better options in Utah. The concept is excellent, the service is good, and the fish seemed fresh, but the quality of the rice and some of the hot dishes kept us from wanting to come back. If you're going for the experience, you'll probably have a good time. If you're going primarily for great sushi, you may leave disappointed.

Cons: Not a good selection- they make more Tuna Rolls than any other fish No Fresh Wasabi option- only the paste The Unagi is normally fall apart tender, our we had to actually chew it.. rubbery, And water isn't just given, you have to ask for it a few times The Yellow Tail with Mango- not good Pros... The Snowy Mountain- was Awesome As the Hawaiian The Vegas is my favorite everywhere I go, and this was good- but it's lightly batter in tempura , where this was done differently and instead of ruining it covered in spicy mayo., I drizzle eel/ponzu sauce.. California roll is always a staple Caterpillar is bomb.. I normally order the Philly- here they use smoked salmon which is NOT used to make this.. so order with traditional salmon, tastes 100% better For two of us with soda our bill was $115 For two people.. not Four.. we didn't want to wait till 9pm "happy hour" for the 50% sweet deal... it's a joke in the wall spot for locals that feel this is good sushi, when it's actually not..
