Every time I decide to go to Goody's, I always think my experience will be better than the last and I'm always disappointed. Service is slow. Food is bland and over priced for what you get. I've tried the breakfast and lunch and it is always disappointing. The meals always seem like they were cooked hours ago. I've gone to three of the Goody's locations and it is the same thing. I have never gotten a good breakfast in the last 4 months I have been going here. The eggs are either runny or crispy. If you send them back expect a piece of rubber on your plate along with burnt bacon. They have forgotten the toast & bacon if it is a side order. They are busy but most people get the burrito for breakfast. Then the eggs can be camouflaged with other ingredients. It is a cheap place to go so economy is on their side. Went out of my way to snag some lunch here, on a Yelp leap-o-faith. Well, I leapt and fell right to the ground on this one. Menu is extensive, food looks decent, but the ingredients are low quality. Exhibit A: club sandwich whose shortfalls include iceberg lettuce, generic whitebread and the death blow, American cheese (think Kraft singles). I haven't had that combo since grade school, for a reason. Exhibit B: the BLT, same story on the whitebread and iceberg lettuce. Other turn-offs ... the day we went the acclaimed milkshakes were not available, the water did have a slightly odd after-taste, went through 2 dirty glasses (black objects floating near the bottom) to find a clean one, and the missing free chips and salsa (empty, never filled, and no sign of anyone eating them in the restaurant). We were really bummed about taking a chance and driving out of our way on our road trip to stop at this place. A lot of locals there so maybe it's as good(y) as it gets in Indio. read more

Been here about 4 different times, and I'll be honest the food not too bad, but there service is horrible... Every time I've gone I get the same service short ,unfriendly, and rude. On two of the 4 occasions I ordered over the phone and my order wasn't ready, the female attending me at drive through never apologized and even argued with me claiming I didn't give them enough time ?? 20 mins more then enough I think? Went to Goodys cafe June 9 and the sandwich I got was good but they were a little slow. Went back this morning June 10 for breakfast and food was so-so. My complaint is they were very unorganized. Waitress would walk around asking people if the food in her hand was theirs. She did that the whole time we were there. My daughter and I waited about 45 mins without getting our food. We saw other people who came 15 mins after us received their food. I asked about our food and found out that they had given it to someone else. After they finally got our food to us, which they messed up. We ate and my daughter started feeling sick. Won't go back there. read more

The food here is very good but that's about it. They have the worst costumer service all the girls that work the drive thru are so rude they don't even open the window to say they will be right with you and they have you wait about 15 minutes before charging you and about another 15 minutes to hand you your order. I've tried calling it in and they still take forever. Always rude weather I walk in or drive thru they are even rude over the phone. read more

This place is just ok not bad. The prices seem a little high for this kind of food. Your average little spot that has greasy options such as burgers, gyros, fries, burritos, tacos, sandwiches etc. I purchased 2 kid's meals (grill cheese sandwich and chicken nugget meal and included two small drinks) a bit steep at almost $6 a piece (looked more like a $4.99 meal at most) an avocado BLT sandwich and a taco special I paid about $40. So for this kind of food and the quality that's kinda expensive but I won't complain too much. Service was average nothing outstanding. One of the waitresses had a mean face like she absolutely hated her job lol. Would I return? Yes I suppose since this area doesn't have a lot of other options anyway and I'm staying nearby for a week. read more

I am really not sure why I keep going back to the goodys in indio. They can never get my order right. This last time I went there I went threw the drive thru. Big mistake. All I wanted was a salad 30 mins later I finally reached the window and they did not even have it ready. The cashier was taking other peoples orders and getting food ready for the people waiting in back of me. I was not happy to say the least. I spoke with the manager George and all he had to day was that they were busy. Like it was no big deal. I said a few choice words which set the manager off. George began to use the f word telling me to leave. Needless to say when he finally gave me my salad he told me to get the f out and he did not want my fing money. I will Never go back there ever. Awful customer service. I ordered a salad and a "sprite" and they hand me a salad and a bag of fries insisting I said "fries". Why would someone order a salad and fries? That's just stupid. Perhaps if I'd ordered in Spanish there would have been no confusion. A few years ago the previous owner of this particular Goody's came into my office. My co-worker said, "Oh, look she used to own the Goody's diners." I replied by stating, "I don't like Goody's. Their "Mexican" food is terrible and their service is even worse." I explained my situation further and she looked at me completely embarrassed and couldn't believe someone had an experience like that at one of her establishments. read more

Asked for bacon on family meal and was told that i had to order it separate and put it on the burgers myself. Wth? Said nevermind, I'll take my business somewhere else. I understand how it easy it is to do it myself but it's besides the point. They werent even busy. How hard is it for cook to do it? I offered to pay the extra charge. Best Goody's I have been too. All staff is very friendly, have great customer service and leave their restaurant clean for all customers. Great food! Served hot with great portions. We always come to this particular Goody's, very different than the one on Cook street, beware of that restaurant. Its a completely different environment. read more

They keep raising prices...$8.18 for a burger combo. That is too expensive. Even the mighty In-N-Out only charges $6 for combo and is well worth it. Hope they see the light before they lose too many customers. My friends thought the place was great until we got the bill..the food was good but it's mostly burgers and sandwiches, kind of hard to goof that up. Won't be back. read more

First time I went to this restaurant I ordered I ordered hamburger special. Experience: the patty was raw, so I brought to the cashier's attention and she told me: next time tell me you want it well done, that's why its not fully cooked. I told her let me give you some nice advice, maybe you as a cashier should be asking the customer of they want it well done or not? I'm not being argumentative I'm just trying to make a point, take care of the customer right. 2nd bad experience: there was a sign not to use the right side of the restaurant, only the left side.. I asked if I could sit on the right side, she said No you have to sit on this side. I replied: okay well, can you clean a table so I may sit All your tables are dirty. Then save says, you have to wait for the other girl to clean the tables but she is going to be busy for a little while. Now this cashier was doing nothing after taking my order, the place was not busy, there was No line and the place was not busy. So now I'm upset and I asked her for a wet rag so I may clean the table because she was too busy. FINALLY she goes to clean the table I wanted to sit at. 3rd bad experience: I ordered hamburger special, a wet burrito with No hot sauce. There was a young lady who asked me my order again to translate to the Cook and he kinda of understood her; so I explained to him in Spanish (to go/order). I get home and there is Hot Sauce in the burrito. So, after all these bad experience s I called and asked to speak to the manager and I explained to him my last situation, he did not seem to care but make poor excuses for his employee. ° He starts by saying, oh your order was by drive through so, they were busy and its an honest mistake. I told him I walked in, he says: well the young lady who interpreted the order she does not speak good Spanish. So, then I asked him or you wearing. . ., you were right there when all this happened; I also told your cook in Spanish and I am fluent, he stayed quiet and did not know what to say... This place had a lot of potential. My wife and I use to walk there every Sunday for breakfast. It's really gone down hill. Now, the food is always really greasy. Every time I eat there, I get an upset stomach. I tried to blame something else. It would only happen when I ate there. Aside from the grease, the food is ok. It's nothing special. The dining area is usually dirty. The employees are usually rude and short in their answers. Drive thru is a nightmare. The last time I used the drive thru, I waited for 30 minutes! That was just to get to the window. There was only one car in front of me! It looked like his order wasn't very big either. The dining room was empty too. I couldn't back out, since a line of cars had built up behind me. I waited another 15 minutes at the window. It took me about that long to get the girls attention, just so I could ask for my money back. I think it's safe to say 45 minutes is more than enough time to prepare a burrito. Prices are ridiculous. First of all I was skeptical coming here but my fiancé insisted it was pretty good and since my favorite breakfast joint was super full I decided to go ahead and give it a try. To start off, I was pleased by how clean it was and their menu choices were plenty. I ordered the chile verde burrito and told them to please please please not put any onion on my burrito because I don't eat onions. As we waited for our food to come out, the restaurant got packed and I was happy that we got there before the rush. Our food came out and the first thing I noticed was they messed up my daughters order, it was an easy fixer upper so I didn't mind as much as much. Then came my burrito. And right on top of it was a piece of onion. I thought maybe it was just a stray onion but no, my burrito was full of onion, again, I was still hopeful that they would fix it and I can get on with eating. I returned the burrito and politely asked they make one with No onions. I waited for my burrito to come back for like 30 minutes meanwhile everyone that got there after me was getting their food. I finally went back and asked where y burrito was and without apologizing, they said it'd be right out. I waited and extra 15 minutes and when it came out it was falling apart like if they had picked at it. The waitress that brought it over just put it on the table with attitude and left.
