We ordered takeout via DoorDash from Farmer Boys last night. The food was okay, but probably wouldn't order from them again. My husband ordered the California BLT which was pretty salty. He made it a combo and the drink wasn't delivered with our order. The fries were better than the onion rings. My oldest got a cheeseburger which was good. Egg Burrito for breakfast is usually spot on. A few times it had too much hash browns & not enough eggs. But most if the time it's the best fast food egg burrito around here. I'm a repeat customer and during weekday visits my orders are often wrong. Today was a late breakfast order that I didn't discover was incorrect until I had already driven back to Palm Desert. When I called calmly to resolve it, I was told to come back and "wait for a manager" rather than being offered a reasonable solution over the phone. This is not the first time -- it feels like a pattern, not a one-off mistake. Mistakes happen, but dismissive handling and lack of accountability are what's most disappointing. Love the CA Sourdough Chicken Club and the Fried Zucchini. No full service restaurant can compare. This simple ingredient sandwich is tasty and flavorful and the chicken is tender and delish is. The portion is gigantic.! I split the sandwich and one order of zucchini with my mom and I was very very satisfied.. The zucchini wedges are so huge and the batter is so delicious. The cost was a little pricey.$$20 but when you're splitting it with someone it's only $10. And believe me splitting it is the way to go. It's too much for one person unless that one person likes to over consume. The order takers are friendly and kind and service is quick.. They're always busy keeping the restaurant clean and you always see them smiling and moving around not just standing around doing nothing. I highly recommend Farmers boys. You order at the counter like a fast food place which is not my favorite. I ordered the 3 egg breakfast, bacon was deep fried and way too crispy for my liking. The eggs and hashbrowns were also a bit greasy. Staff were friendly, coffee was good and the restaurant was clean. Over all it was fine but I will try another restaurant next time for breakfast. When it did come back, it was hot, as it should have been first time. But dry. Needed extra mayo. Was some on. But not enough. We got the Fried Zucchini. Not good at all. It is like they took a whole zucchini and cut into quarters. Very strange. Was expecting small pieces. But what made it difficult was that it was not cooked. We felt like we were eating raw zucchini with breading. They were hard. We had to cut the zucchini in bite size pieces. Very crunchy. Ate maybe one, and threw rest away. From the lady taking my order, to the lady at the drive thru who helped me with some lids as the other lady refilled them, to the lady giving me my order and to those folks in the back that I couldn't see making sure the order was correct and absolutely delicious, thank you thank you! I was patiently waiting for order & after so many minutes passed by I finally got my order. My place is just 5 minutes close. When my husband & started to open the boxes, alas, we found fish looked like days old, so cold. Five minutes was all it took me arrive home! Nonetheless, we started eating & the fried fish tasted like days old, batter was mushy . I didn't finish my food & my hubby had regrets eating them. Talking about the price?
