Ok on their menu they have a dinner plate called fish and chips but unfortunately the chips aka fries does not come with, you have to add that to the meal plus the other options you get so make sure the options they provide the fries does not come with meal you need to ask for it, this place is way over price for something they take out of the freezer but unfortunately where i live my options are too little too choose from, yes i cook everyday but sometimes i need an off day and yet i spend my hard working money for shitty food and no english speaking. read more

Awesome place. I'm not sure why it has 3 stars only. We reached at 830 am and we're out by 9. The service is super fast that was probably the most impressive thing. We had the goody's omelette and the pancake combo, this arrived in less than 10 minutes! The omelette was really good and the pancakes were soft. My first experience was good, but the second was horrible. My dad & I waited for about an hour for our food. We waited 40 minutes waiting for the food & then realizing that the people who came 10 minutes after us got their food before us. Have you been incorrectly charged through the drive thru??? A month or so ago I realized the price of their drive thru menu and what their system was charging me was 2 different prices. I get the chilli cheese fries, stated at $3.99, and end up paying close to $6. I had overlooked this previously, chopping it up to being tired and doubting what I thought I saw them priced at. I go today to get them for lunch and to my surprise they are in fact $3.99 and have been incorrectly charged, 5.75 or so after taxes. I don't know for how long I have been being charged more. When I asked the worker if she could honor the price advertised she refuses because her manager is there. I asked once more giving her a chance to do the right thing and she says no. Here's another shocker for you, for those who use the drive thru. Out of the 6 side options available only 1 was correctly priced. The other sides are supposed to be about $2 more. Which tells me 2 things. These incorrect prices have been posted for more than a year or so. Because I think it's rare to see a restaurant hike there prices beyond an additional dollar every price adjustment. NEGLECT! They don't care and take advantage of us customers who believe we are getting charged a lower marked price. However in reality they reap the benefits of getting more money out of the situation. BEWARE customers who order through the drive thru and compare what they are charging you in comparison to the menu outside!!!! Who knows what else could be incorrectly priced. Not only was I incorrectly charged numerous times before today but the workers don't care, or aren't trained to do the right thing to fix the problem. My first time trying this was when I stayed at the Hampton Inn for Coachella and we asked the front desk if they recommended any good places to eat and he pointed towards Goody's which was no less than a street light away. Food there is delicious, filling, and they have many, many options to choose from on their menu. Also, did I mention they've got free chips and salsa? Yummmm...inexpensive and satisfying. We ordered takeout. My first clue should have been the fact that there was almost no one there at 5:30 pm. Got home and started to eat. Dipped a curly fry into the ranch dressing only to find part of a regular fry in it! That means they are reusing the dressing people leave on the table. Just dump it back into the pitcher. Wonder how long that dressing had been sitting out and who let half of their fry drop into the cup. And the special pastrami sandwich was a sloppy mess. Never again. The place was clean when we walked in and the service was fast. My boyfriend got fish tacos, he ordered 2, but the lady was nice enough to tell us about the special for 3 tacos so he needed up with 3. My daughter got the kids cheeseburger with fries and I got a bacon cheeseburger with fries. The food came and the waitress was really nice, the tacos we big and my boyfriend said they were OK, however the burgers were over done you could taste the burnt of the meat and the fries were cold. Stopped at our local Goody's tonight. Got there at 930pm...they would not let us eat inside the restaurant. They told us we had to take out food to go, because they were closing. We told them we wanted to eat in the restaurant...they told us all orders after 930p have to be to go. I wonder if this is the owners idea or if the employees are doing this on their own. Spent a week in the area playing golf. Most of the ten guys had breakfast there daily. Food was very reasonably priced, lots of it, served fast and hot. The menu is extensive. The staff pretty friendly. The facility busy and generally clean. If we stay in that particular area again, I'm sure it will be part of the daily routine. read more

So we have eaten at this restaurant before but this time it was very bad. Our party of five got there around 11:00 am on Sunday morning. There was a few people in line in front of us and there were tables open. We ordered our food and sat down and waited for 26 minutes. My wife got up and checked on our food that had been sitting for at least 10 minutes so we asked a food delivery person to check on our orders that we thought were ready. Five minutes later she brought my sausage eggs and hashbrowns cold to the touch then our friends ham steak only. We waited for another 5 minutes and then she brought out my friends eggs to go with his ham steak that was now cold and our other breakfast items except no waffles. All of our breakfast was cold. After a few minutes we asked about getting our toast and waffles and then she finely went and got them. These were the only thing that we got that was warm. So we asked to speak to the manager but he never came. There was no line up now so our friend went up to talk to the manager and he basically told her that they were to busy to look after us properly and what was he suppose to do when they are busy, turn people away. He was very rude and we will not be going there again. We were not asking for free food but just wanted him to know how bad the food was cold and he said that he couldn't do anything about it. He said he didn't have enough staff to get our food out on time. He should have told us that when we went up to order then we could have gone somewhere else so now I post this in hopes people will know how this business (Manager) treats its paying customers. I never write reviews, but had to make an exception here. I have been to this establishment several times in the past and I could not agree more with some of the reviews of Goody's (Ave. 42/ Indio). They ARE lazy and sloppy...so much so, that I observed NONE of their employees wearing their masks, the last 2 times I went there. Last night I went to their drive thru to place an order, but when I arrived at the window, 3 employees ( 2 line cooks preparing the meals and the female working the window) had their masks completely off their faces, not even partially down!!! Now, riddle me this: Why would you advertise that you're available for drive thru and food delivery for the "public's safety" during the Covid-19 pandemic, but your food preparers are sweating and breathing over the food on the hot grill and line without masks?? You've lost mine and my family's business Goody's Cafe. Believe me, I love the Coachella Valley and will continue to support local business with my $$. But, I won't support those who won't look out for their own customers and residents' health. It's exactly things like this, which are prolonging the spread of this virus. We go here from time to time. The food is good, but the drive-thru service in the morning can be rough. I have other examples that I could share, but will use this morning's. I ordered a Southwestern Omelet, got to the window, handed the woman my card and she handed me my receipt with two omelets charged. I told her I had only ordered one and she said "No, you ordered two". Again, I explained that I had only ordered one and again, she insisted that I ordered two. I asked if she could please refund for the extra one and she took my card with a huge over exaggerated sigh. I'm sorry, but you just don't argue back and forth with a customer like that. Say that you will refund the money and be done with it. There have been other examples of them messing up orders, leaving food out that they charged us for, sitting at the drive-thru and waiting a few minutes before they realize someone is there to order.
