I've gone there to have my yearly inspection done, I went there when I got a flat tire, I've gone there to have my oil changed and every time I go it's quick efficient and I'm not spending thousands of dollars on repairs. I don't need. I do not feel any pressure to get any thing fixed with my car that probably doesn't need it. I go at least twice a year for a regular maintenance and when I get my inspection it's quick and I pay for the inspection and go. I just recently had my inspection and my brakes done and I was on my way in less than an hour and a half. I'm always expecting to spend two or three hours because that has been my experience in the past. But now, the last year that I've been going to Pep Boys, I haven't spent more than a couple hours. The longest time I've spent there was because my car was towed in last minute for the flat tire, which is to be expected because people with appointments are taken care of first. I had no problem waiting because I didn't want to cut in line. The Pep Boys in Lake Grove is great and I will continue to go there Oh, and I also should mention that I got a flat tire years ago in a different town and that Pep Boys was just as wonderful. When I thought I was gonna have to get a new tire, they just fixed my tire and I spent 15 bucks. Pep Boys is great and I will continue to bring my car there.

A Tesla should be an easy inspection, there's no engine to check! My wife & I walk to Smithhaven Mall, we window shop, all is right with the world. I walk in and I'm told the car failed inspection. What?! Yes sir, the tint on your windows is not up to code. Wait a second, you passed the car last year?? Yes sir, someone made a mistake and I don't want any problems. You'll have to take it back to your tint shop, let them put a lighter shade of tint that will pass New York State Ins.. I ran outside to the car and ripped off all the tint on the side windows. I went back to the desk with a huge tint ball. Now the car will pass! Idiots. Never again.

I pointed to the handicap sign and that he did not put a placard in his windshield. He smiled and waved me off. He parked in a way that when I pulled in, I could not park and get out of my car. I ended up parking illegally. When I entered I realized he was an employee! I made mention of the parking situation and the salesman looked and said there was room. I told him I tried but because of how he parked, I could not open my car doors. I went to order my part when I saw the salesman talking to a man wearing an arm sling. They were looking directly at me while talking and each had a look of disdain on their faces. I felt very uncomfortable. I paid for my part, where the staff were kind, and left with the same looks from them. I decided to call and speak to the manager. I left a message. That was 12 hours ago. The way I was treated was horrible! The spots for handicap people, like myself, are there for a reason. Parking in a way that I could not access entry felt like it was done frequently. This is not acceptable business behavior. I have purchased 3 vehicles from Smithtown nissan. My Murano is getting old and I was planning on buying a new one soon. I will buy from a different dealership.

Ava left a message on my phone and I tried to reach out 3 times to verify but she never called back. The next day, I drove 1.5 hours to the dealership. I brought my quote to show the salesman. The salesman said that Smithtown Nissan does not do business with TrueCar and that someone acted independently to post this deal on TrueCar. That is complete nonsense. Here is Smithtown Nissan's TrueCar page: https://www.truecar.com/dealership/smithtown-nissan-414996/listings/?newness=u . I asked to speak to a manager (older Latino man). He reiterated what the sales associate said. He was arrogant and stopped the conversation to casually speak to a friend asking me to repeat myself. Being that I drove 1.5 hours to get there and the same distance to get back, they wasted my time. IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU: There are ways to fight back. Take them to small claims court. AI will guide you through the process. I have only done small claims once before but the dealership has to send a representative after they are served and that is a nuisance. You won't get repaid for your time, but you will earn your gas/toll money back as well as any fees that you pay to file in court. Most importantly, if they mess with you, get them back! It is easy! Most importantly, don't do business with dealers who don't honor posted prices. I walked out of there, called TrueCar customer support (they picked up almost instantaneously) and today I will file in small claims court for 20 dollars in gas. My time will never be repaid, but at least I will be a thorn in their side. PLEASE VOTE THIS UP if you had a similar experience.

He charges a flat-fee for everything, and prices are advertised on a flat screen monitor. Prices are affordable, and the technicians do quality work. I take my vehicle here for routine maintenance that does not require OEM parts, such as tire rotations, wheel alignments, fuel system cleaning and annual NYS inspections. Fred says that he uses vehicle-specific parts, which are delivered from nearby warehouses. The shop gives you the old parts back, such as burnt out headlights and worn windshield wipers. I only go to the dealership for brakes, batteries, warranty work and recalls. Most jobs at Lakeview Car Care are done in less than two hours. While you wait, there is no transportation to take you to and from home or work, so you have to call an Uber or Lyft. The waiting room is relatively clean and has comfortable chairs. It also has a coffee/tea bar with a Nespresso machine and its pods; and some tea bags, Carnation dry milk, and sweeteners. Service is personalized because Fred has regular customers, whom he instantly recognizes and engages in chit chat with. I highly recommend his auto repair shop but only for minor services that do not necessitate a warranty.

I have to give Xtreme 4WD, fist bump, a bro hug, something!!…read more I have a 2001 Wrangler, this thing just runs and runs and runs. However, as with all TJs, they are prone to fender rot. Living on Long Island with the snow and salt on the roads, Jeep Inc. never thought about making the flat fenders out of plastic for the TJ. They did fix the problem on the new Jeeps. After years of seeing the fender rotting, I decided to do something about it. I went to my local body shop guy and he said, ah $1300 to paint and mount new fenders. And I had to source the fenders?! I pass Xtreme 4WD daily driving to work, lemme see what the hub bub is all about. I walk into a beautiful showroom. Lots of rims and Jeep kits, I'm drooling over everything. I tell them I want to swap the fenders for something radial! They gave me a great price and it all could be done in less than one day. That's the thing about Jeeps, they're like the Mr. Potato head of automobiles. There is a huge aftermarket of parts, you can get nuts designing them. I enjoy taking the clam shell roof off and buzzing around Ocean Parkway by Jones Beach. It's the ultimate beach ride. We look at a few name brands and I decided on very cool looking fender. Salt and Snow? Begone! I made an appointment to drop off the Jeep all day on Saturday. I got a call later in the afternoon, sir the work has been completed. They upgraded the Jeep within hours and did a fantastic job. Very impressed with the clean facility as well as the meticulous work. Look at those hood latches, I've never seen a sexier latch! A body shop isn't the right choice for aftermarket body parts. If you have a 4WD truck or want to upgrade your Jeep with a lift kit, come to Xtreme 4WD where all they do is upgrades to Trucks and Jeeps.
